He was in the proverbial the doghouse. |
Re: Mia
JLC reported today he was out with bronchitis or something.
I'm feeeling a little Kwame Brown vibe there, anyone else? |

word. what a dumb thread by me. i'm a wee bit drunk |
Re: Mia
yes, he was inactive for this game. I don't think he suited up, in fact.
Do I think he's in the dog house? Yep. I think he and Arch may have seen their last games as Redskins. |
Re: Mia
duckett sucks, he really really sucks

Re: Mia
lloyd had bronchitis so he was inactive

Do you remember when the Skins were the Boston Braves? I see you are one of our most senior warpathers! |

LOL...100 years old he was a fan when they carried that round leather ball, wore those helmets with no face masks and held on to each other when they were running the ball |
Re: Mia
When I saw "MIA", my first thought was "That Guy". What happened to him? Maybe I'll start an offseason thread about that...
|
Re: Mia
I hope that Lloyd comes back next year. I think he can play and contribute to this team. More importantly though, I think the organization needs to show some cojones and stand by some of their decisions. They basically bailed on Patten after one season (obstensibly because of his knee injury) and now they might bail on Lloyd? What does that tell the next "big-name" reciever they bring in?
|
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
Yeah he was inactive due to "illness", I'm not buying that.
I really think there's a chance he's gone this offseason. Just when you thought we had our WR position solved... looks like we could be hunting again this offseason for a WR. Randle El is nice but not a true #2. Patten is probably gone. |

He has a tantrum, then he and Gibbs 'talk it over', then suddenly ARE is starting...then this mystery 'illness'. |

Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
They definitely shouldn't cut Lloyd. He gets lit up by the media for a lack of production, but he didn't have a much worse season than Antwaan Randle El...here are the stats:
ARE: 32 catches, 351 yards, 3 TD's Lloyd: 23 catches, 365 yards, no TD's Hell, Santana only had 55 catches, 790 yards and 6 TD's. He missed two games, just one more than Lloyd. I think these guys need to stay together and give Jason Campbell a chance to hang out with them over the offseason. They need to get together and get their timing down. Then, if it doesn't work out after that, they can think about cutting Brandon Lloyd. |

At least Espy gave every play his all. I'll take hungry and raw over gifted and lazy any day of the week. |
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
i'd like to see the skins keep lloyd.
*if he's not causing trouble in the locker room. |

I am happy to see that someone on here is finally seeing the same thing. For some reason people think that Randle El is an effective #2 but I am not feeling that he is good with the gimmick plays and is a pretty good punt returner but at 2 we need more consitancy and someone a little bigger. |
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
I dont think Gibbs would just straight up lie to the media. He clearly said Brandon was sick, and he tried to run before the game and he couldn't, so as a health concern they did not dress him.

I'm not inclined to believe him being inactive had to do with illness either. It will be a big pill to swalow if we have to release both him and Archuleta. |
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
they need to keep him. this just pisses me off the way the skins do bussiness. this is supposed to be gibbs team and we pay big money to lloyd and arch and we are talking about cutting them. we need to keep lloyd he hasnt blown up through the media and bashed teamates in the press. he threw his helmet in game and got a personal foul call to me that shows he cares and wants to win

Lloyd's story line runs a little deeper than just the one incident where he threw his helmet. He has character issues, has said and done some things that just do not go over well with people in sports, as well as life in general. |
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
Don't judge the wideouts based on stats this year. They had father time passing 6 yard patterns in the beginnig of the year. As far as B Lloyd is concerned, Dallas couldn't cover him.
Give him a year with Campbell. That is more reasonable. |

Oh yeah, he really came on strong once Campbell was throwing him the ball (sarcasm) |
Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
You guys are talking about continuity, but continuity means nothing if the player is a negative impact in the locker room. Continuity works in the NFL because it fosters team cohesion - Lloyd is the kind of player who threatens that. With character so important for Gibbs and his teams, I would not be surprised at all to see Lloyd jetisoned.
Be nice to have those two picks back huh? |

Re: Brandon Lloyd MIA
