No More Tiki Barber Twice a Year!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!
I am more than willing to watch Brandon Jacobs on his inevitable Christian Okoye career path. Say, I thought the Cowboys made the Playoffs? Anyone know what happened??? |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!

Say, I thought the Cowboys made the Playoffs? Anyone know what happened???
Your 'romosexual' relationship with a Cowboy proved to be too much of a distraction for the team. |

Or hold. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Amen to this thread's title! Ya, ok, Tiki's gone. Boo-Hoo. Bye-Bye. Its glad to see that at least at some primitive level, 'Skins fans and Dallas fans can at least agree on one thing:
SEE YA TIKI! |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Now you have Jacobs twice a year. :(
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
had'nt been this thankful since emmitt smith left the cowboys for the up and coming arizona cardinals!(lol)
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
this is why i respect 5rings. and goodbye barber, cant say im going to miss you
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
I really dont think any team will benifit as much as the Washington Redskins from Tiki Barber retiring. I swear to god, last December was the only game we held him remotley in check and I still think he got 80 yards. Every other time we played, he sliced us up at will.

Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
I'm going on a bold prediction to say that we might be able to mark down at least two sure wins for us next season: our two games against the Giants! Eli is no Peyton Manning and Tiki has been the guy keeping the Giants together.
Of course, everything could change from now until next season, but it's certainly looking up for the rest of the NFC East! Now, we just have Westbrook to worry about! |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Now you have Jacobs twice a year. :(
but you have taylor Jacobs 16 times a year! |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
So is anyone else not so convinced he is actually retiring? I think I'll believe when trainign camp rolls around. I'd even take action that if Coughlin gets canned then he magically unretires accordingly.
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
he did use to gash us. he seems like a good dude, so i'll be happy to stop hating him

Totally! Better drive a stake through his heart to make sure |

I'll bet that we'll be picked at the bottom come august w/the g-men just ahead of us. Like us, they have some old vets they're still relying on. If they fire Coughlin, who knows what to expect. If Strahan doesn't come back (possible retirement too, or cap casualty coming off his foot injury) that would be two of their team leaders gone. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
The irony is Tiki and his brother Ronde where both HUGS 'Skins fans growing up. My wife new them well she used to play pee wee football with them and hung with them all the way through high school...they are both classy dudes.

Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Tiki ran me over in high school football. I'm proud to this day. :(

lol...at least you were good enough to get run over by him in HS football...I never even got the pleasure...one and done my 10th grade year in JV football was all I got and boy did I suck... :D |

When his $10 million deal with ABC/Disney in announced in a couple of weeks everyone will know he's done.. Thankfully the Tiki media man-love is over, I got really tired of all of that. The other upside is Elli Mae will be exposed for the fraud of a QB he is with no threat of a running game.. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
I also think the Barber twins are cool dudes. They're professional, intelligent, and they don't have big egos. I wish more players in the NFL were like that.
TMC: Did you really play against Tiki in HS? I guess there's about a 5 year age difference between you two, so maybe it could be possible if you were a freshman and he was a senior. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Yeah, I was a young freshman and we scrimmaged Cave Spring when he was a senior. It was a scrimmage against the entire JV and Varsity and I "tried" to tackle him in kickoff team. Didn't work out too well.

That is sweet. I got trucked once pretty good -- I completely flew into the air, and my shoulders were the first thing to hit the ground. I only wish I could say it was by an NFL great. :) |

I met the same fate against Shawn Springs. He leveled me. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
HA. This might be deserving of it's own thread. Anyone else play against any former or current NFL players?
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
You get run over my Wayne Brady and I get run over by caterpillar eyebrows.
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Tikiiiiiiii, so many rushing records to set (against the Skins),,,,,,,,so little time, unless I don't retire!

Patrick Henry HS class of '94 here: Shannon Taylor was our big guy, he was a quarterback with us before they moved him to LB at UVA he spent a few years with the Ravens as a Linebacker we also had Chris Combs on our team he had two years with the Steelers as a DE. Of course Tiki and Rhonde at Cave Spring, then there was Shane Graham (sp?) with Pulaski County who's become one of the more reliable kickers in the league. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Ah, PH I remember you guys when I watched Friday Football Extra. I was Rockbridge County High School (who JUST lost states this year :()
|
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
The only current NFL player I played with was Nick Sorenson (VA Tech/Jaguars) in Marshall High School. He was our QB but then went to VA Tech and became a FS.
I heard to this day, he's still hated in Blacksburg because he got burnt in the National Championship game. Sucks because he's a good guy..... |

Plus I think Sorenson was more of a run stopper type anyway he wasn't the best cover guy. |

Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
Tiki was a class act...and grew up as a skins fan to boot.
I know he has owned us in many of the head to head meetings in the last couple of years, but why do folks fear him? He is no more fearsome than Westbrook. I hope he returns next year, only to get stuffed by our revamped defense (Alan Branch et al). |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
I don't think it had anything to do with him in particular. He just had the Skins "number".

Tiki was very good too, and I really don't like the Giants' prospects without him. I mean, I like their prospects as a Skins fan, because I don't see them doing well next year. |
Re: No More Tiki Two times a Year!!!
but you have taylor Jacobs 16 times a year!
Haha, that was pretty funny. Actually the guy has been healthy for the majority of the season but has yet to move up in the line-up. And our WR core is pretty bad.
