According to Extremeskins.com Fred Smoot has been signed.I don't have a link to prove it,but here's a link to extremeskins.This guy is always right,so i believe its true.When i get another link i will post it.

He's an upgrade to what we already have at least. A starting duo of Rogers and Smoot still makes me nervous though, I really hope we hang on to Springs.

Its an upgrade. I'm not unhappy about the signing. With a better pass rush, and better linebacker play it should work out pretty good with Smoot and Rogers, possibly Springs in the mix.

I agree, but I think the reason our secondary got beat so much last year was because opposing QBs had all day to throw, and also our secondary had to commit more to stop the run.

I am certain that the team will pick some CB up, either in FA or the draft, if they trade Springs.

Smoot went to a defense he could not play in... He can play in Williams Defense. He also brings back something our defense lacked last year and that is a little bit of swagger. I like Smoot, he was one of my fav. players and I hated seeing him go.

Thats what I was saying last year and what they said last night or maybe this morning on the NFL network. They where going team by team and most agreed that our O has the players and talent. The D is where they said we needed help and talked about our lack of getting to the QB by all of our D last year was the problem.

It could be early tonight when it comes official.There is also a lot of rumors saying Fletcher is signed.I don't know about the Fletcher rumor,but i believe Smoot is now a Skin.From what i have seen he is in transit right now.So expect it to become official as soon as he gets here.

He will probably say "Fred Smoot is happy to back playing for Fred Smoot's beloved Redskins. Fred Smoot made a huge mistake leaving this wonderful team. Fred Smoot is also happy that international waters are a lot closer to D.C. than Minnesota."

I just got my old POS fred smoot jersey out. It is a replica and I had duct tape over the name and I wrote taylor on it. I just tore that duct tape off. It hasn't been off in years. SMOoooooooooooooooooooooot.


He isn't amazing but we have seen him play well in our system. lets hope he'll help bring us back to the good defensive days

Smoot is awsome

Smoot was #27 for 2005 in Minn then went back to 21. I say Smoot goes with 36 and ST stays with 21 to make offenses confused... or maybe just me.
