Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
good fo him

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Well I'm glad we were able to prove to Detroit that he wasn't worth a third round draft choice. It's ever so nice to help out when we can.
Cue the "Hindsight Is 20/20" crowd ... |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
If I wanted to turn around a terrible franchise, the first thing that I would do is sign a 260 pound scatback!
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Hmmmm, now what could Matt Millen be up to?
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Can't argue with the price though
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I'll always remember T.J. Yeah right.
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Family Dollar priced at 1.5 mil? 5 cent quaility. He should feel greatfull.
This guy is washed up. SEE YA. |

Not exactly 20/20 when 90% of the board says "Wow, what a stupid trade." A 3rd rounder for a back we never used. Oh well. |

I don't recall 90% of us hating on the deal at the time. The majority liked the deal at the time. |

I had mixed feelings from the go on duck, giving up a third. But our needs required taking a chance. It just didn't work. |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I remember hating it and wondering why we couldn't just singleback sellers in the worst case scenario...
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
He gave us what for a 3rd rounder?

I didn't like the trade to begin with. I was really confused when it happened seeing we had Sellers. |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
glad to see that 3rd round pick work out for us.

Honestly we could have ended up with a guy that would have been good enough to warrent letting Betts walk. You gotta love Detroit though, what better way to turn around a franchise than acquiring a bunch of backs who aren't good. |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Duckett should have never been headed to Washington.
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Good move for him though, he did go to Michigan State. Does this mean that Kevin Jones is on his way out?
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Probably the worst move Gibbs 2 has made. Could have used Sellers in the short yardage roll. Simply terrible.

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Anyone else get the sense we're going to start seeing years and years of Duckett threads, much the same way that we keep seeing Ramsey threads and LaVar threads and Marty threads and...?
|
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Yup, unless we get that freaking third round pick back!!
Because you KNOW the Broncos will use it on an immediate impact player and we'll get to hear about it for years to come. We need that third round pick back because he could be our next Cooley! |

As long as the Washington Redskins make boneheaded personnel decisions, expect to see threads denouncing those decisions on a Washington Redskins fan message board. |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
We could go 16-0 in each of the next three regular seasons, shut out every opponent in the playoffs and threepeat in the Super Bowl and I'm 100% positive there'd still be threads here of people bitching about the spending spree in 2000. It's just the nature of the beast I suppose that no matter what people will always find something to complain about.
TMC, agree or disagree? As for Duckett, yeah terrible move but good luck to him in Detroit |
Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I agree. TOTALLY agree.
It's a constant, "Man! I'm SO WITTY when I talk about Deion Sanders and Bruce Smith." I don't think people realize that was ALMOST A DECADE AGO. Get over it. |

Jones won't be ready to play until mid-season anyways and may never be the same again, it's the same injury/surgery that ruined Duce Staley's career. |
