JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
GOLDEN ARCH, STAYIN OR LEAVIN? washingtonpost.com

Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
What a mess. This is why we should never bring in a player from another team and pay them such a high salary. After repeating this mistake now several times, I hope the skins have learned their lesson, be patient, build from the draft and mid to lower priced free agents. We do not have to sign the top free agents every year. The quick fix never works.
A top team/dynasty is built over years not one offseason. |

Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
It would more than likely be to either Denver or Chicago. YAY for more picks.

Denver - maybe AA for Bly and 2nd tound pick? |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
We'd still have to eat a lot of cap in a trade, no doubt, but still it's better than nothing. What a mess.
Let's hope they've learned their lesson! |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
I wouldn't be suprised if AA is in a deal with the 6th overall pick going to someone like Chicago or denver that has an upper 1st round pick and a player or draft picks. Either way it is still alot of money to asorb. They got to find the right team that will take his salary unless he renegotiates. I also could see Houston being involved in this as well and maybe Cleveland. This could get very interesting as the week goes on.

Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
the Texans maybe they have a no name secondary

LOL A SECOND ROUND PICK????? Common, We'd be lucky to get just a 6th for him alone, if we can get a 5th take it an run....I dont see anyone trading for him because he will probaboly get cut then anyways and they could sign him as a FA and not have to take any cap absorbitions. |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
Sorry guys, I still see Arch here next season. Now it is up to the coaching staff to be able to utilyze him. Arch does have talent, he doesn't have the talent we need him to have. They need to teach him a new position (I still say he'd make a great LB) or figure out how to best use him in Williams system.
|
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
If he reworked his contract and they were able to trade him for anything it would be a "Redskins Christmas" miracle! That would be the cherry on top of this offseason.
See you later 30 million dollar punt protector! Don't let the door hit you.... Let's hope that it happens. |

He let a guy go right by him. I think it was the Carolina game. Still we won but c'mon if you get paid that much to protect the punter tou ought to be damn good at it. He stunk it up. |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
the skins and archys agent are working on a way to restructure his contract so we dont take a bit cap hit which could mean hes gone.he doesnt fit our system anyway.

Sorry jsarno, but I think your wrong. If we do get stuck with ARCH I think it's pretty clear at this point it's not by CHOICE........ NO TAKERS They bought this time for a reason to try to get something out of him via trade/possible late draft pick, so he wouldn't be a complete money sponge "AKA" Deion Sanders, one year waste! We can afford to dump him this year and not kill us. Hopefully leason learned! However it would be nice to get something out of this guy???? GOOD LUCK. To bad we can't send Lloyd packin with him. |

But his agent seems to be set of not losing any of his guaranteed money, so this still may cost the team a god deal of money. Can they still spread out his bonus money over the course of a few seasons if he's not on the team anymore? |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
yea the snyde likes to waste money.look at last years free agent signings.

|
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.

|
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
Seriously. Are you f-ing kidding me? Like, did you time travel here from three years ago?
|
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.

finally lets get rid of this guy Actually not very good Didn't cover anyone in 2006 Appeared on the bench for more than half of the year Missed assignments Always missing tackles Really terrible Can't play outside of the box Had a league low in everything last year Uniform was alyways mysteriously clean Lost his job to a 35 year old vet who was cut and a no one in vernon fox Easily burnt Toast on a daily basis Another free agent bust i "love" adam archuleta aka arch deluxe |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.

I totally agree, I just think that's funny as hell.. :) |

why exactly is he a "fan hater"? As for not fitting our system, true but, sorry, he was never more than mediocre in st. louis. he's a linebacker in safety's body w/ the football instincts of a blind gopher. |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
but arch played so good last season. he was our mvp in my eyes

fox is good? good at what? he is a career journeyman, at best |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
Fox does not need to be anywhere but special teams. Skins need a covering SS to mesh with Taylor.

ok if we trade down and maybe sign ian scott how about laron landry |

No, I don't want another good cb in our depth.. Once we have too many good cbs, it's bound for one of them to complain about not playing much.. |

man what the hell are you talking about carlos rogers right now is average ay best and shawn springs cant stay healthy our best corner to me health wise and skill wise right now cause to be honest if the season were to start today i am kind of edgey on the secondary thats just me |

Never have to much depth at corner. Rember last year, we had none! Bly for Arch, and maybe even a late round pick...in a second! |
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
hey i finally have another fan of the trade back and nab laron laundry. this guy is a stone cold beast much like taylor but with better cover skills. he played corner two years at lsu but grew out of the position...haha i mean the guys arms are huge! you give me smoot, springs, rogers, taylor, landry, and potentially dre bly? that shores up a lot of holes and makes us extrememly versitle up front where we could afford have those crazy blitz schemes we had in 2003. i think the more secondary help the more creative you can get up front........but i am also a believer in pass rush leads to good coverage, its a two sided argument.....but give me laron landry and i will take the bulk up the secondary argument.
|
Re: JLC: We should know the status of ARCH by Wednesday.
plus landry will only make taylor a better player i promise you that, they will feed off of each other. could be some exciting hits and plays made in the secondary next year if this ends up coming true.....my opinion on AA is that he like almost every player in the league is a scheme player and he doesnt fit our scheme....i dont care what we do with him though cause we will eat his money one way or another, so trade him, cut him, keep him i dont care about him.
