I might be having a kid
 

Ok i am freaking out here my ex just found out 2 days ago that she is 6 weeks pregnant and it could either be mine or some other guy its not that i dont want a kid it just that i feel i am too young i am only 18 but this is really freaking me out cause i wont know for 9 months whether it is mine or not has this ever happened to anyone else here i need to calm down but i cant HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax man. The deed has already been done. If you find out that it is yours, then just be the best dad you can be. I'm not saying that it isn't going to be stressfull, but things will end up working out for the best. By the way, just because you've got a kid doesn't mean that you have to stop living your life. You just got to start living it with someone else.

I got my wife pregnant when I was 20, and we were not married at the time. I wigged out too. It will be ok.

AH...the pregnancy scares of our youth years.

Been there, done that...they're usually false alarms.

If she is pregnant, you better pray it's the other guy's. She sounds like a "busy body" to me...you're better off without her. BUT, if it is yours, step up, be a man and take care of things.

I believe she can get a paternity test before the baby is born...if I'm not mistaken. That would be a good idea.

Be careful! You're too young for this. ;)

I just got my wife pregnant for the first time. She's 28 and I'm 27 and we've been married 5 years. We were planning it...I STILL freaked out. It's scary under ANY circumstances! :)

We had a lot of scares before and even in the early years of our marriage...they suck big time.

Due in November, the day before the Bucs game. I already told my wife to at least expect a radio in the delivery room if it's Sunday, if I can't get a TV in.

I get to drown the kid in Redskins stuff and she can buy the kid Yankees crap. (she's from NY)

I get football, she gets baseball.

Marriage is all about compromise. Football is better than baseball anyways, so I wasn't budging on the Skins indoctrination.

Hey...I'm glad my wife actually likes sports, muscle cars (she wants me to build her one someday, but that will have to wait now) and grillin' food.

She bought me tickets to see my favorite baseball team in July (White Sox in Baltimore).

She's a good one. I'll let her have the Yankees if she is interested in sports and won't nag me about watching them all the time. Could be worse, I could have one of those wives that hates sports and makes me eat tofu and salads all of the time.

My wife hates sports, but I aint eatin no tofu! She would my kids in Dallas apparrell just to spite me if she thought she could live through it.

Honestly man, you shouldn't stress out about it. I know it's very hard not to do, but it really could be a blessing in disguise.

If you guys aren't ready, there is always adoption which is a very smart choice a lot of the time. Sometimes its not. There's obviously going to be a lot of hard decisions in your future should this be the case, but it is by no means a "bad" thing, but a different thing.

I don't think you'll ever hear of anyone who regrets having kids. Most just prefer to be in control of the timing. I have a few friends that have been in this situation, and it's not the end of the world. It's not catastrophic.

Just take this example and embody all the anxiety your feeling into one big huge lesson that you should have already learned:

Well, speaking of having a kid, my old lady's knocked up as well. 4 months along, due in the middle of October. She'll be induced (high risk pregnancy, as she's had a blood clot before), so we can assure that softball and the Redskins are not interfered with.

My wife sounds like a combination of angryssg's and Buster's. Wife gets to decorate everywhere by my basement (yes, MY basement), and she'll definitely let me drown our children in Skins stuff.

If we have a boy, the room is gonna be a pirate theme, complete with an artist's painting of a pirate ship smack dab on the wall.

but yeah man lesson learned, I have started to become really careful about casual hookups, bc they give you a scare too. Also it isn't to hard to catch STDs from these college bitches. Just wear a rubber, and honestly as stupid as it sounds sometimes you just gotta not do if that thought is on the back of your mind.

I had an ex who thought she was pregnant about 5 weeks after we broke up. It was an ugly breakup, too. Then she calls me and tells me she took two pregnancy tests and that they were both positive, and she was keeping the baby no questions asked. I was 21 at the time, a full time student, and working as a waiter. I FREAKED THE F@%K OUT. Then she randomly called me a week later and told me it turns out she's not pregnant. I don't know if she was just messing with me in the first place (a psycho thing to do if she was), but for a week I was preparing for the fact that I was going to be a father. I know where you're coming from. Good thing it's looking like it's not yours.

whats done is done. i really think you can get some sort of dna test before the baby comes. and if its yours, congrats. you are too young, but if it happens, try to make the best of a bad situation. do not take it out on the kid
