Every year with Madden and Tiger IGN runs some preview that has me saying woah, this is the year. And pretty much every year I'm disappointed. The last Madden game I was really satisfied with was 05. Best football game I have played in a while was actually last year's NCAA, although the 360 version was trash.

Yeah it's been a while since Madden kept me interested for more than a few weeks. I remember back in the day Madden was pretty much all I would play. I was very happy with just going through season after season. I can't say that anymore.

Glad to hear that. 2005 is the last one I bought and I still play it. :)

I've got a few problems with Madden that I hope they resolve:

(1) I hate how easy it is in franchise mode to get all of your starting players above 95 within 2 seasons.
(2) I hate how you can be destroying a team until the 4th quarter and, all of the sudden, you can't do anything on offense and your defense collapses.
(3) I hate how they removed the feature allowing you to use plays and formations you desgined in franchise mode.
(4) They need to toughen up each of the levels because, after playing it for more than a few weeks, All-Madden mode becomes a cakewalk.

a few years too late for me...
rather convenient that they catch a small wiff of competition and now they are actually trying to make a good game again.

The opening point of the article is so true, there are no more excuses for Madden. It's year 2 on the new consoles, it's time for a kick ass football experience.

I have Madden 07, I like the features but the real reason I buy Madden every year is because the updated rosters. Are these changes only going to be for next gen Madden, because I want to know what they are going to do for current gen this year.

I would guess they'll make it for the current gen systems for at least one more year since those systems are still going pretty strong.

They need to make the break from the current gen systems eventually, I think next year we'll start to see the break really happen.

yeah but i want to see the edit feature returns for the next gen systems cause i love to update the rosters throughout the season without going online cause i bascially update daily my 07 versions for both gens is up to date with no internet help so i want that returned

it is still being made this year for PS2 and Xbox. It's one of only 4 xbox titles and about 25 ps2 titles scheduled for release this year.

the ea website had an article saying that NCAA football 2008 would not be on ps2 or xbox maybe i am wrong but that is what i read
