Memorial Weekend & BBQ Plans

This weekend almost every dewd in this blessed Country of America will be firing up grill or a cooker of some type. Might be a charcoal grill, might be a gas grill, might be a slow smoker or heck might be a Turkey Fryer but most will be cooking....with a beer in their hand.

Gotta love it!

This weekend from Friday thu Monday I will be featured at a Pig Roast Weekend at my partner's Crabhouse/Tiki Bar on the Potomac River. Come on down! Again mention thewarpath.net and get some FREE Que! The guys who have hooked up with me will tell you it's worth it.
Tim's Rivershore Restaurant & Crabhouse, Dumfries Virginia

We party and have fun on this weekend but let us take time and remember and talk about what it's really about. Sacrifice. Many brave and sometimes scared American brothers and sisters have paid the price for this Freedom we breath. Myself and many in my family have and still serve proudly these United States of America and we always will. We're not afraid.

To those who have fallen I salute you. To those who have served I salute you. To those stepping up in these days of war like my son I salute them and you.

May God continue to Bless these United States of America.
peace and BBQ grease.
mike

oh and to keep these a SBF type thread let me add what was on the menu last time I cooked at Tim's for the weekend.

Nicely done SBF.
As you say, it is important to remember the reason we CAN spend useless time spouting endless ninnyisms to anyone who will read them???? because brave Americans have and will continue to die for.............freedom.

NOW, HOW DID YOU YOU GET A PIC OF MY BACKYARD PARTY??????

I think that I will try it out next year. This weekend I am sending my mother and wife to an all day pampering session at a spa on Saturday, while I get my kids out onto the jetski. Due to my messed up schedule I have to come into work on Sunday night (My Monday). I do not get the day off, but I do get comp time.

This weekend I will be finishing up opening the pool. I would have done it last weekend but my pump bit the dust. Had to shell out $485 for a new one. Ouch.

That sucks, I do not own a pool yet, but many of my family members do. I can empathize for you.

working on that tan yet, ladybrave?

Lady Brave 05-25-2007 10:40 AM

Re: Memorial Weekend & BBQ Plans

I haven't tanned since I got married. Being fair skinned is not conducive to spending large amounts of time in the sun. It totally drains me for some reason and even more so as I get older. Just give me a tall glass of iced tea and a shady spot and I'm good to go.

My weekend will probably consist of some yard work, definitely some beers, and some good dinners eating out. The usual weekend basically, except it's a day longer. :)

Re: Memorial Weekend & BBQ Plans

I'm gonna' bust out some of my NEW OMAHA STEAKS, and other asundry consumables while doing much outside stuff, as the weather is great. Burn some meat over a WOOD fire. SOON, it will get MUY hot, (then I retreat to the water) but not this weekend

Dining al fresco tonight at one of Frederick's downtown establishments (one with the shortest wait for patio).

Tomorrow night, attending a wedding at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore. My wife knows the groom...and that's about it. So I get to hob knob with 200 people I don't know. There better be some decent beer...

Sunday, bbq with wife's family

Monday, bbq with my family, using some of the burgers and dogs from the omaha steak combo we got the other day. There will definitely be some decent beer at this bbq, since it will be here at the house.

It's on!

Had a fricking blast last night and slept in my truck next to my smoker while butts rolled. I had thrown some wangs on and about 11 pm I took tons to inside bartenders, tikibar bartenders and Timmy and I sat and scarfed a couple dozen.

My Big Pits should get delivered here about noon so I am here and then heading down for the weekend.

Bring it on and remember to mention *thewarpath.net for some good Q!

peace
mike
