Elijah's Text Message to me "No Cancer!!!"
 

To those of you who have asked about my son Elijah or prayed for him I want to thank you. This long hard fight might have come to a close. He sent me that short text message yesterday after he had got the results of the CAT Scan and blood work back after all of the Chemotherapy. "No Cancer!!!"

Thank you JESUS!

To the new folks here Elijah is my now 21 year old only biological son who last year was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. After 1 surgery to remove that cancer he was scanned months later and the cancer had spread to lymph nodes in his left abdomin.

The next surgery was this last winter when they opened him from his pelvic bone to his sternum and removed 10 lymph nodes and [4] were bad looking but they felt they got it all. Scanned 3 months later and they saw another mass in there that looked bad so we started 12 weekes of aggressive Chemotherapy. That beat Lyj up pretty bad but never his spirits and smile.

So now a month or so past his Chemo he was scanned last week and get the results yesterday and the answer was of course..."No Cancer!!!".

With all the bad stuff we deal with each day I wanted to tell you about something good many of you were a part of.

From my whole heart I thank and love you all for the support.

He got the all clear sign yesterday and woke up late last night with his remaining nut hurting and swollen like the first. I don't get it! He has a 2pm appointment to check it out.

He called and they will ultra sound the lump tomorrow. The Lady DR that checked out his Nad said she really does not think it is more cancer or it is a kind that can resist ANYTHING and he would be shipped to Indiana as a special case.

She said she thinks with his white blood count so low it could be an infection.

He's a 1/2 sack empty at this point. I think they do make fake nads tho.

Having a prosthetic leg a Nad sounds funny ...unless I needed one.

In all seriousness, they DO make them for dogs so I'd imagine they can fit one into a human...hopefully one MADE for humans.

I gotta share a picture with you guys of Elijah this last weekend. He was in town for the weekend so He and his girlfriend Elise went to dinner with my wife and I and my folks and grandma.

He looks great! His hair and eybrows are growing back, he has color in his complexion and is just beaming with LIFE. Thank you LORD!!!

In 4 days time I will be 3 years removed from having been diagnosed with Tescticular Cancer myself - its always good to hear about another person beating that sh1t!
Let Elijah know that I love "Foolin' Myself" - he puts it into words brilliantly and the guys got talent.
The download option on his myspace doesn't allow for it to be downloaded, otherwise I'd have it on my mp3 player - I listen to it regularly and wouldn't mind getting it on cd or something.
