Discuss the draft here

nice, I just moved my laptop into the room with the 47" LCD (even though HD doesn't really make the draft all that much better) and I'm ready to go.

I hope Oden slips to the #16. {fingers crossed}

HAHAHA, this is the funniest commercial I've ever seen!

I don't think weed is that chick's problem, but she should probably lay off the acid

Watch him fall to #15, haha

What do you think Zards will do at 16? What do you hope they do?

Oh Cripes, I was just kidding about him falling, but man I'd be pissed if he lasted that long.

I have no idea what they're going to do, I guess they'll just take the best F/C available.

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

A back to the basket Center would be great. I just don't see one worthy of being #16. Jason Smith is more of a Forward (not adding much beyond what Pech and Blatche can give us) and I'm not totally sold on Spencer Hawes.

If Julian Wright falls to #16, we should jump all over him. Otherwise, someone like Stuckey could be a solid 2-guard.

Yeah, I feel like we could really use a center too. I was hoping that Hibbert would've come out, but he would have probably been gone by 16 anyways.

I don't know much about Smith but I've seen that we might take him in a bunch of drafts.

what's the deal with Pecherov anyway? Will he ever play for the Wizards?

Latest I hear now is we're targeting Marco Belinelli.

Yeah, that's pretty bad.
Why the hell isn't Simmons doing a running diary? I'd love to read his reaction to that one.

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

We got our own running diary right here!

Jeff Green! WOOO! HOYAS!!!!

Seattle is going to eb good. Very good. Green and Durant is a coup.

ArtMonkDrillz 06-28-2007 08:02 PM

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

ha, that's true.

Seattle is going to be sick with those two, but it'll probably mean that my boy Chris Wilcox is going to be on another team next year.
Seattle is going to eb good. Very good. Green and Durant is a coup.
No doubt, but I wonder if the team is going to get moved. I would think that those two would help the city keep the team because their fans have to be pumped.

SmootSmack 06-28-2007 08:03 PM

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

Well they'll need a banger down low so they shouldn't give up Wilcox

The bucks just took some "E"

hahaha, they said before that Yi's people wouldn't let the bucks talk to him or something like that because they didn't want him to go there.

Off topic. A fight is breaking out between two janitors here at work. It all started with (no joke) "Why are you working my hallway man? You know I pick up the garbage down these cubicles"

This was followed by "Listen, you were on the other side. I didn't give you shit about emptying my trash cans the other day"

"This is my trash. You're taking my overtime away from me"

"Overtime? How long does it take you to empty a little trash can?"

and so on...they don't know I'm fluent in Spanish so I understand everything they're saying

That sort of thing is why I want to get the Rosetta Stone computer program.

The Big 4.5k. nice

We'd be on pick #3 if this was the NFL draft

Damn...i was hoping Hawes would fall to Wash. He'd have been a big help for them.

FRPLG 06-28-2007 08:36 PM

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

I'd love for Wash to end up with Sean Williams. Good inside defender. The off court stuff is a concern but it really wasn't real bad stuff. Hell half the guys in the first round smoke weed.

I think he's too soft. Doesn't play like a 7 footer in my opinion

Can we trade Haywood for Oden?

I am at work now so someone please tell me what happened? Seattle traded Ray Allen for the 5? Were there other players involved?

He's a little of a reach at 16 though.

Yeah but point production out of the low post is something this team needs. It is not like they have a ton of bang down low anyways. Williams can bang. Can he stay out of trouble though.

Hollinger can spit out stats and metrics but he rarely looks at the intangibles. Reminds me of someone else I know. Law is a winner

Good to see two guys born and raised in the DC area (Durant & Green) go in the top 5 AND they get to play together....

Hell for that we'll go ahead and throw in Michael Ruffin to sweeten the deal.
