Always hated the guy as an announcer but now it's looking like I was completely wrong about him. Dude gets down.

Re: Bill Maas Arrested

Hopefully Fox will can his ass and we don't have to listen to him anymore. Not only is he very anti-Redskins he's a crappy announcer to boot!

I wonder if Lord Goddell's powers extend to the broadcast booth?

If he smoked some of that gange and popped a couple of the pills before announcing a game, he might improve.

If I had any respect for the guy (which was little or none to begin with) it's all gone now.

This just made my weekend so much better, knowing that I don't have to listen to that idiot anymore, that is if FOX fires him.

There is a 1000% chance that he will never work for Fox again.

Was he meeting Irvin somewhere?

I'm not saying you need to feel sorry for him, but you guys are being ruthless to a guy that hasn't done anything to you.
Why hate this guy?

Nobody said they hated the guy, except for one saying that he hated him as an announcer. However, since he is a public figure who got caught with illegal drugs and weapons, then he opens himself up to ruthless comments and ridicule and rightfully so.

Let me take this opportunity to defend 40 year olds who still like to get busy. The fact that he had a young female with him just makes him that much cooler. If he was driving around in a K-hole with some old porno mags that would be creepy, but he wasn't. Maas, you da man.

I guess we all have our opinions on the matter. But a man who needs X to "get busy" among other harmful illegal substances isn't cool. He's just very sad.

Re: Bill Maas Arrested

I, for one, am happy to admit that I do indeed hate the guy. I hate him for inflicting game after game of anti-Redskin drivel on me. What did I ever do to him??? That's the real question. Announcers are supposed to be vaguely impartial and at least a little knowledgeable. He probably got his job by selling drugs to FOX producers or something...

Notice the comment "piece of shit DRIVER". Not "piece of shit PERSON."
He has done nothing to me, but as a NASCAR driver, he has wrecked waaaaay too many his share of drivers. I have never made a comment that Tony is a horrible person, I figured you would have noticed that.

One thing's for sure, in his opinion he can do no wrong. He absolutely trashed his teammate Hamlin. He's an asshole and he's hasn't won a race this year so he's frustrated. I think it's funny. I want to see Gibbs Racing do well, but I don't really care about NASCAR. You know what it stands for, right? Non-Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks.

Fair enough. I disagree completely on the driver critique and I'm probably the only Stewart fan on this site it seems but let's get back to Maas

Yes, you're right. I do. I grew up here in DC, but I've lived in North-Central Florida for the last 8 years (Gainesville), so I have a TON of redneck friends. They are funny actually. Most of them are really handy people, actually very smart in a different kind of way. But when I see some pathetic looking dude who hasn't shaved in a week sucking down Marlboro's and driving a big ass pickup truck with confederate flag and a bumper sticker that says "The South will rise again," I have to roll my eyes.

LOL! Well, I have plenty like that here in Martinsville...after all, we are known for NASCAR. But, a good ol' country boy is the best friend you'll ever have! That old Hank Williams JR song doesn't lie..! ;)

Makes me think of my buddy Tom. The guy is pretty much the handiest dude I've ever met. He knows how to do anything. Need something fixed? Call Tom. Wanna go fishing? Call Tom. Wanna go huntin'? Call Tom. Wanna shoot guns for the hell of it? Call Tom. Wanna cook a phenomenal meal? Call Tom. But the man is SO COUNTRY it's funny. Drives an F-350 and lives in the STICKS. HAHAHA. Loves him some NASCAR too...

And just to keep it on the Bill Maas topic, Tom has never gotten a DUI or gotten busted for ecstacy.

He pisses (or I should say pissed) me off everytime that I had do listen to him rip the Redskins apart. So actually he did do something to me. I don't wish bad things to happen to him and I hope he is able to overcome his issues but I am glad he won't be announcing Skins games anymore.

Now, more importantly, does that 27 year old need a shoulder to cry on or better yet someone to do 28 ecstacy pills with?
