I'm watching this right now. George Blanda was #9. I dont know who was #10. Mike Vrabel is #7 (which is total bull) and Kordell Stewart is #6. That is all they have done so far.

I would agree with that, TRUE REDSKIN! Glad he retired a SKIN!

Small frame with a lotta fight, and a BIG HEART!

What about ARE? I think if ARE doesn't get stuck as the number 2 receiver - in other words, if LLoyd's hardwork actually pays off - then he will have a huge season doing what he does best, that being the same kind of multifaceted stuff Mitchell pioneered for us.

That's what I was thinking.

Eventually, ARE should be on this list.

We had two Skins and one was listed as #1. Anyone want to take a guess?

Re: Brian Mitchell 8th most versatile player in NFL history

sammy baugh better be up there
OFfense defense and special teams

When he played he was the best passer. He also played defense and still holds the record for most interceptions in one game (4) Tied with others. Also a punter that would be a pro bowl punter today. Holds the record for longest punt average. Versatility, for sammy, is no question.

I can only remember Deon was close to #1. It was late and I had been installing new wood floors in my house and me and my buddy had to many beer breaks.

Cordell Stewart was another. I think I got his name right he was Stealers #10 played WR, QB, and I think he returned some punts or kick offs.

Loved B-Mitch on the field, not a huge fan of him off it. He seems to always be blasting the team about something.

I think he's just brutally honest, kinda tuff huh? He's usually dead on!

I'm also a HUGE fan of B-MITCH.

I think there's a difference between being honest and just being negative for the sake of being negative. He comes off as a douche bag if you ask me and his constant negativity gets really old.

I don't see it that way. He was tough on the field when he played, and he's tough on the show and asks or give's tough and honest opinion's on the post game show. Which is often hard to man up on when your lossing.

Being I'm at the game I always have my wife record the game and post game show, I like his feedback. I think he's usually dead on.

I think it's just in B-Mitch's nature to question everything. I mean I've known him for over a decade now. We're not friends or anything but we have mutual friends so I've gotten to know him in social settings (haven't seen him in a couple of years though)

Anyhow, he's the type of person who if you order an iced tea, he'd be like "shit man, I would have gotten a lemonade" If you say it's cold outside, he'll say "Your problem is that you don't know how to handle the weather"

It's just how he is. Loud and challenging

Re: Brian Mitchell 8th most versatile player in NFL history

True Story about the time I met Brian Mitchell:

I was in Vegas for a bachelor party with some friends. We were at the courtesy desk at the MGM Grand signing up for those cards that are supposed to track your gambling so that you get comps. Anyways, we look to our right and there is B-Mitch at the counter in the line to our right (there was a fight at the MGM Grand that weekend, so he was there for the weekend). Naturally, my friends were all Eagles fans (being from Philly and all), so they immediately went up to him and shook his hand and gave him props and such. He was nice and polite, thanked everyone and said nice to meet you.

I purposely waited to go last. When I got up to him, I shook his hand and said "Brian, it's an honor to meet you. I live in Philly, but I've been a die-hard Redskins fan my entire life." He immediately got the biggest smile on his face. Now this was literally the day after he had just been released by the Giants. So he then told me that he was going to give "Joe" a call to see if the Skins have a place for him on the Roster (this was also soon afer Gibbs announced his return). I told him that I would love to have him back in a Skins uniform one more time. We both laughed a bit and told each other it was nice meeting you and wished each other luck and went on our way. The whole encounter goes down as one of my biggest thrills as B-Mitch was always one of my favorite Skins. Overall, he seemed like a great guy to me.
