Ever had a freaky number keep reappearing?
 

Im not a numeralogy freak or anything, but over the past 5 years or so, it seems like every time I look at a clock, its something :33. I would say like 60% of the time whenever I look at a clock this happens, and its really starting to freak me out. Does this happen to anyone else? Wierd.

I've had it happen for a brief period of time but 5 years is a while to have that, haha. Like yesterday though. I was punching some numbers in and it was something like _ _ _ 401 and i was thinking 401 when i was pushing it in and then i heard someone say something about someone's 401K and was like thats wierd and then was like, wtf and thought to look at the clock and it was 4:01.

Funny you mention that. For the past few months, I've been waking up at 3:40AM every single day for no appearant reason. Like clockwork (pardon the pun) I would pop right up and stare at the clock. .

Yeah that shit is wierd. I heard some dude on the radio say that if the same number comes up in your life again and again then it holds some sort of meaning for you. Needless to say, on my 33rd b-day I was nervous as hell.

Look on the back of a Rolling Rock beer...you guessed it the number "33"!

For the logest time my eye would catch it at 9:11. I would just take the time and think of those folks until it changed to a 12.

Some people have told me about this, but I think that once you start to think about it, seeing the number just means more to you. We look at numbers all the time, however, when you're going out of your way to make a not of the times you see a certain number, you're going to remember it. You'll write off all the times you don't see that number as nothing, but when you see that number it's going to stick out in your mind...

That's just my opinion, though. Maybe 33 does have some sort of significance to your life...who knows, really? Lol.

I do notice certain numbers that frequently pop up in my life, usually 1, 3, 13, 23 or some combo of them.

Sort of along the lines of what Jdlea was saying...

During the movie "Pi" (Directed by Aranofsky) the main character is going insane because he keeps seeing a 216 digit number everywhere. He's this crazy mathamatician and tries to figure out patterns in the stock market, the bible code, and even in nature itself.

Finally, one of the character makes the point that it doesn't matter what number it is, but whatever your mind becomes obsessed with you'll see everywhere. Whether it's 4, 6, 11, 23, or whatever... your brain will highlight it all the time. It's just some weird phenomenon that a lot of us have.

It's called brain power. Do you guys remember that the year after 9/11 happened on the anniversary the lotto pick three number was 9 1 1 .... neurologist claimed that was because everyone was thinking about 9/11 ... = brain power.

That damn secret movie and book. I don't exactly believe in it but everytime i play poker and what i need doesn't come out i blame my brain. I was reading something that said it can be dangerous because people may blame too much on themselves for not thinking correctly.

However, recognizing things like 9:11 happen because when you see it you stop and think. Where as when you see 9:16 you don't. You see them both the same but 9:11 has a significance and therefore when you see it you remember and therefore think you see more often than other numbers.

I mean, if we were to say 33 is significant to paul then there would be a reason. I'm not saying there is but for sake of arguement. 9:11 is probably doesn't have a higher power significance to most people yet they feel they see it more often.

I know that wasn't your point hess but i went off on a bit of tangent.

Just to continue on the whole, "You only think that because you're focusing on the one specific number theme." We are pretty much barraged with numbers. Right now I'm looking at 5 different occurrences of numbers on my screen, however go to the homepage and I counted to 25 before I stopped. 25 different numbers, the fact that 33 jumps out is no real surprise, if you're looking for a number, you'll probably find it. So long as it isn't too long...

LOL. Actually, yes, very. I'm at work and my whole team left, but I don't feel right leaving more than 1 hour before I'm supposed to. (I'm hourly and claiming to have worked 8 hours today.)

Yeah... the glory of working for an iron works company...

I finished working around 1 today because the concrete guys f'ed up so we couldn't work any more. We just left the job, and I'm still getting paid the 8 hours baby.

hahaha...nice. I'm actually working for T. Rowe Price, but we work in Disaster Recovery, so we really don't have to do anything as long as there is no disaster.
