shit man, rules are rules. I do remember me getting really pissed off when similar things happened with me and my cousins. I'm not to sure if i wouldn't take a swing at them. I mean, if you lose you pass on the controller. Same thing when shooting around in basketball. Make it, take it, i hate it when people take the ball when i make it. I should get the ball back because i made it and someone keeps the ball. Arg, makes me mad thinking about it.

I am going to continue my breakdown into the subject. Its like when there are 5 people playing halo or something. Only 4 can play at a time. The last place passes the controller. I mean, it is very insulting if the person does not. Its like saying, what are you going to do. Its embarrassing to the one that is sitting there. What are they going to do? They can't just be ignored,especially infront of others. The point of the controller gets lost. It is the disrespect shown.

Now that is why that little dumbass got so mad at his older brother. The older brother was like, WTF are you going to do. But, he obviously took it a bit too far. Also why is being charged as an adult and being held w/o bail. He obviously is too young and stupid to understand that stabbing him was the wrong thing to do. Though 13 is old.

The reason why children are charged as children is because they don't have the sense to control their emotions and see the big picture. Now I agree 13 is old. I can't imagine my 13 year old cousin being that dumb. I can see my 14 year old cousin getting really really pissed off about the same thing at my 17 year old cousin. I mean, i've actually seen them fighting about this same exact thing. Both are smart kids (straight As both of them, not that it matters in this situation but i'm proud) so i know they wouldn't kill each other. Also much of my first post is sarcasm

I know what you're sayin BSB, when me n my bro play video games when of us dies it's the other person's turn to play. I get pissed at him when he doesn't give it up, and he gets pissed at me when I don't give it up. I think 13 is an age where he should know at least that stabbing someone over something petty like a video game is the wrong thing to do. He got charged as an adult because he's old enough to know that killing someone is wrong. The fact that it was his own brother is something that he's gonna have to live with and probably will torment him for the rest of his life.

I dont care how angry you are. When I was 13 I got mad at my older brother over video games before. But we put on boxing gloves when we had a dispute. We NEVER thought of stabbing the other. And this will now haunt and torrment him for the rest of his life. I hope he gets life in jail.

Everyone feels upset at times but children cry when that happens until they can control their emotions. He is going to have to live with this regardless. Life in jail is out of the question and i don't think any reasonable court would have that not only due to age but the fact that this was not planned out. Its second degree and he should be sent to juvy for a few years and see anger specialists. That is reform. That is what the system is meant to do.

13 is not a little kid. It is young but 13 years is enough time for parents to teach right or wrong. In the state of GA if he was there, he would be charged as an adult no questions asked. He is charged with 1st degree murder, which carries the life in jail penalty. And I have read nowhere that he is remorseful for what he did. He just told the cops "I just stabbed my brother." WTF!!! Life in jail is fitting for this act of violence. We need to stop looking at age a such a big factor. That is a huge problem in the US. We want to change the meaning of age so much.

We really need to sit down as a country and determine "how old is 13 really?"

That's exactly why the system doesn't work. This kid is 13, which is 8th-9th grade for most people. Are you telling me that a high school freshman, or soon to be freshman should be off the hook for friggin murder, because he "can't control his emotions"? Most murders happen because someone lost control of their emotions. If that was a legitimate excuse, nobody would be in jail for murder.

And a few years in juvy is ridiculous for the severity of the crime. I personally think he should fry, but that won't happen. He might get sentenced to life if he's tried as an adult, but he'll probably only serve 7-10 years... :banghead:

This is unbelievable. When I was thirteen my older Brother and I would fight almost ever day after school over stupid stuff like a lot of brothers do. Things like who was in control of the TV or who got to eat the last burrito ect ect. I must say we did some pretty messed up things to each other. But I never once thought I should stab him. I knew better then that in preschool! This kid should be locked up for a long time. I can almost grantee that when he gets out someone else is going to be seriously hurt by him. The kid has some real serious issue and being 13 is no defense in my book.

His neglectful parents should serve the same sentence. If you can't raise a better kid than that you need to think seriously about using contraceptive measures.
This reminds of the story a year or so ago about the boy that beat another kid with a baseball bat because he was getting razzed for losing a baseball game.

OMG, WTF is the world coming to? This is horrible!!

My brother and I fought a lot over the TV and video games. When we couldn't agree he or I would just unplug the TV and no one got to play or watch TV. Mutual dissatisfaction was all it took to come to an agreement.
