Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
Hopefully it's not too serious.

Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
He wasnt gonna do the Broncos no good anyway
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured

Anyone else suprised he actually hit someone?
I think he was actually the hittee, not the hitter. |

Well, we all thought same thing about Walt Harris and look what happened.... |
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
It is bad to hear anyone getting hurt. It stinks when your season( even career) is messed up before it begins. I just hope CP and SM can shake things off. I have never heard of so may banged up guys around the league this soon, before preseason game 1.

Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
Do you make better money if you get hurt then released or if you just get cut?
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
wish him luck.......
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
hope he's ok!

Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
I hate to hear about people getting injured like that.
It's a scary injury, for anyone that has ever gone through it, it scares you to death. It happened to me in college for probably 3 seconds, though it seemed like an hour and a half. ANY time you lose feeling and that thought of paralysis creeps in, everything in your life gets puts into perspective. My injury was NOTHING, and very quick...Holdman's sounded much more serious. So not only does he have to get over the neck injury (which sucks to have as a football player) he needs to get over the mental issues that might keep him from playing to his potential. Toughest injury in sports...I wish him well. |
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
even though he didn't work out here I wish him the best with an injury of that magnitude.

the guy could have a career threatening injury, and the best you can come up with is some broken up english? come on, put some thought behind it |
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
I definitely wish him a speedy recovery so he can live a normal, happy life with his friends and family. Playing football should be the least of his concerns right now.

Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
Was Tiki Barber running left for 40 yards on him again?
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
why people got to make joke about this. it isnt funny. if you had a spinal cord injury, which can be life threating, would you want people saying "well he wouldnt do any do anybody any good".
c'mon people i mean damn |
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
I wish him enough bucks to retire relatively healthy. He'll only damage himself by continuing. There is a life after football.
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
There isn't anything more scary for me when any player is getting taken off the field on the stretcher.
Do you make better money if you get hurt then released or if you just get cut?
I think if you get hurt they have to give you an injury settlement if they cut you.
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
I wish him the very best. He still has heart even if his skills are feeling some of the impacts of aging (on an NFL life-cycle scale).

c'mon people i mean damn
Because it isn't life threatening. Honestly, the guy should have quit. He is terrible. |

Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
I hope he's alright, anytime you're talking about head or spine injuries, it's no joke.
|
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
Hope he makes a full recovery

He is terrible.
ummmm i dont know what is life threating to you but if your hospitalized for a spinal cord injury. he will be lucky to play this year. if he does play this year he will be good, just look at what happened to walt harris. sometimes a guy just needs a change of scenery. |

Instead of talking about spinal cord injuries in general, why don't you read what actually happened to Holdman. He had full use of his extremities within 40 minutes of the incident. You are comparing Holdman to Walt Harris? Harris actually made some plays for us. Holdman was a joke for two years. Why do people automatically assume that when a guy does something unusual, that it applies to everyone? You want to know why Harris had so many interceptions? It is because no one is afraid to throw to his guy. He still gets burned. |
Re: Ex-Redskins, Holdman injured
Man. Another sterile thread!
Post #1 - I hope he's OK. Post #2 - I hope he's OK, and I hope he recovers. Post #3 - I hope he's OK, and I hope he recovers, and I'm praying for him. At some point that gets to be stating the obvious. None of us are sociopaths - we all hope he's OK. No need to say so. I don't see the harm in cracking a joke here. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel it's perfectly possible to find a situation serious and wish someone well, while at the same time cracking a joke about it. That's the very definition of "kidding." If you don't find the joke funny, fine, but don't get uptight about it. Just my two cents. |
