The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Thank you Gibbs for putting the bible on the back burner and doing the right thing for the team.
Bye bye Brunell. You were adequate for one out of 3 seasons but it is time to hang them up. Collins has displayed enough for me to forget that you were ever here. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
huh? What did I miss?

Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Somebody put me out of my misery and tell me how badly hurt Campbell is please.

From what I've heard it's just a bruised knee. Shouldn't be too bad or long term whatsoever, right? Praise the Lord. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Bruised knee; doesn't sound like a big deal.
Marcus Washington just walked off the field gingerly with some sort of injury, too. Gotta love the preseason. |

A touchdown pass to Lloyd. Brunell proved that he could not physically execute that. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Thanks, LMsexyAO.
Having to follow game on NFL Game Centre, they just said he wouldn't be back. |

Good for Collins. I don't understand why we have to keep shitting on Brunell though. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Gotta shit somewhere. I guess
|
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
I guess Brunell is the public toilet now. Either way Collins has looked good, even against first teamers. I wouldn't be suprised if Brunell loses the #2 job by the end of preseason.

If Collins continues to play this well throughout preseason, then I would definitely consider him #2. It was kind of a blessing in disguise that Collins had to come in against the first teamers. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
OMG., who got the inside scoop on Campbell.....did I waste 250.00 buck on the NFL Ticket to watch my second stringer, try to lead us to the playoffs, or will Campbell be good

Campbell's fine. It's a bruised knee. |

I "love" how there was an apparent need to throw religion into the discussion at the start of this thread.

Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
I still don't get what the point of this thread was????

Exactly! But, somehow, it must have something to do with football, right? (tic):stop: |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
By the way, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Mark Brunell's arm. I thought his passes were pretty good tonight.

I do not for the life of me understand this thread other than to bash Brunell. Hate him all you want, we have no other option, so stop bitchin and start supportin. |

Cause people seem to think the only reason Brunell is sticking around is because Gibbs and Brunell are Bible buddies. But religion aside, Brunell's good days are well and gone. Dude needs to save face and hang it up soon. Before people remember the sucky Brunell and not the Brunell who was in his prime. For now though he needs to get axed. Collins is a solid 2nd string and the Skins can start grooming Palmer in a 3rd string spot. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
NO he cost us the gamr today he sucks Collins is better he sucks FUCK BRUNELL GET HIS ASS OUT OF THERE. WE were in fucking field goal range.
|
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
I can already see this thread getting locked. lol

Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Brunell looked absolutely horrible, he did have one nice pass to the Steelers CB, but he dropped the ball.

That's absolutely untrue. |

I hope you're joking. He got us in field goal range and the last interception wasn't his fault. Dude should've caught that. Brunell gave us a chance to win today. |

When playing with second and third teamers, everything gets skewed because theres about fifty extra variables that won't be there when only the first teamers are playing midseason. If Brunell can't be relied on (as if he becomes Trent Green circa 2006), we pretty much have nothing behind Campbell. I'm glad that Collins is having a good preseason, but come three weeks from now, no one will remember/care what he did in the preseason. |

Brunell gave us a chance to win today.
Chances don't win games though. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Like I said F^^K Brunell I dont care where he got us if he throws a pick
|

That doesn't make any sense. so, no chances win games? |

Uhhhh yeah, did you watch the game??????? Brunell looked like crap he had one nice throw on the 4th down to Hoag other than that there was nothing. |

 :stop: If you truely think that, I am extremely happy that you are not in our front office. Brunell is no longer starter material, I think we can all agree to that, but he's a very good 2nd stringer. The fact that you guys are making HUGE assumptions during a FREAKIN PRESEASON game is laughable. IT'S PRESEASON!!!! Stop acting like it's the super bowl. |

1-10-PIT 26(:29) 8-M.Brunell spiked the ball to stop the clock. 2-10-PIT 26 (:29) PENALTY on WAS, Delay of Game, 5 yards, enforced at PIT 26 - No Play. 2-15-PIT 31 (:29) 8-M.Brunell pass incomplete deep right to 86-B.Toler. PENALTY on WAS-86-B.Toler, Offensive Pass Interference, 10 yards, enforced at PIT 31 - No Play. I don't know who takes the blame for the delay of game, but I can see that outside of that play, Brunell did his job like anyone would ask of a backup QB. |

Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Collins knows where to go with the ball but his arm is weaker than Brunell's if such a thing is possible. Both of them have serious drawbacks and you seem to be basing your asessment on some paranoid dislike of Joe Gibbs' religous faith. No nails and no coffins tonight.
