K this is way better for us and i can't see which was dumber us releasing Marshall or them releasing there best LB?.Hey well if we wanted a LB than it should have been Trotter than but most likely not a starter,Crap i think teams like the Dolphins and Cowboys might need him dammit.

Those dots in your post were really necessary.

I dunno, I kind of see the logic in releasing him. He's 30, his knees are giving him problems, and he flat out sucked last year in pass coverage. He's a very one-dimensional LB; all he can do is attack the line of scrimmage.

In coverage he constantly gets toasted.

As long as Trotter is not in any NFC east division of a team we usually play alot FYI maybe the Bucs? than I'm good with that and same thing with Marshall.

Takeo Spikes is better than Trotter by far. Trotter sucked for them last season, he couldn't stop the run or defend the pass. From what I hear from Eagles fans about him, he was basically our version of Warrick Holdman, only he plays MLB and Holdman was our ROLB.

Reason: If you have a younger LB, just start him but keep
Trotter around for the experience. I agree. But if that means
he is not there plugging holes when we play them on Monday Night

I wish they were dumb enough to release one or two of those ten O-linemen they have, all of which could probably start for some team in the NFL. We could sure use some of that.

You know I agree that its said how players get dumped but they also are all for a team one year than the next they get a better offer and are gone.

Yeah, I am almost positive the Eagles will move Spikes to MLB, and have Gaither at WLB, and Gocong/Bradley at SLB. Either way you cut it the Eagles have a pretty weak LB corp IMO.

Ya Spikes is now officially there best LB.Gaither is not that great and i don't know who the other man is .Maybe Marshall could be on there target but i hope not.

i dont know who is dumber, you or my 5 year old. we are not stupid for releasing lemar marshall. if anything its a freaking good thing because it means the other guys are coming along. i liked lemar marshall too but i honestly believe that is a step in the right direction not back.

With M. Washington likely to miss the opener , if Rocky gets dinged , who will be our OLB's ,,, Blades and Sartz , Maybe Godfrey? Hope he has some gas in the tank , he was talking retirement , besides , he is an ex-cowboy ! If we couldn't get a trade , I would liked to have had Marshall on the roster until M. Washington is 100% .

For whatever reason the Eagles released him it wasn't because they are dumb. After the Patriots they are probably the best run team in the league.

Carolina has supposedly reached out to Trotter from what I've heard. ]

I think he's saying that once McNabb is on the decline (probably not for a few more years at least if he's healthy) they will cut him if they ave a replacement, e.g. Kolb. While they go to great lengths to re-sign their key players, they don't stick w/them very long once they get 'old.'

Don't be sure that this team is crapy. They beat us twice last year, and won the division when the critics said that they would finish last the NFC East.
