yeh, anyone who pre-ordered it at their local game store is going to be getting it on monday the 9th.

a buddy of mine ordered ncaa 05 online from ea games and he didn't get his until 3 or 4 days after it was already released in the stores... ye be warned

from ea games, or eb games. I can see ea games doing that, but not eb games.

u sure about that. Games do usually come on tuesday, but it says it doesnt ship until the 9th? how could the stores get it before that?

This is what I heard. Apparently EA Sports have some sort of arrangement where EA ships their copies to EB a few days earlier. This way, people who pre-ordered madden online will actually get the game on the 9th, with the overnight delivery option. I found this info on [url]www.maddennation.com[/url]. It's a madden forum site.

I know our district ordered the games same day shipping and the managers r gonna head to the distribution center when the shipment comes in and then turn around and start selling them that night. plus the ship dates online r for regular customers not the actual stores cuz sometimes the stores get games 2-3 days before they start shipping to individual customers.

that is awesome, even better. Now i can have it on the 9th, take a break during teh skins game, then back to gaming. I only have to go saturday and sunday without my girlfriend and amdden, then ill atelast have madden.

I did the overnight option to my local store, I've heard it gives you the best chance at getting it early. Who knows, guess I'll see.

For people who did the pre-order, my status changed to "open," which means it's about to be shipped, if not today, then tomorrow. My credit card was also charged.

So I dont think it really means anything. Doesnt mean they have it yet. I hope they do but I doubt it. When do EB games get madden? Does the 9th mean the day when ea sports ships it out?

I read on another forum that EB gets copies of madden before other stores, and people who pre-order it online get it a day before everyone else. Don't know how accurate that is. Yeah, EA is supposed to ship it the 9th. Someone also said when they charge your credit card and change the status to open, it is getting ready to ship. Again, don't know how accurate this is. Was your card charged?

I received an email today saying my order is confirmed, but it didn't give a ship date or expected arrival.

hmm. If it comes the 10th ill be happy. the 9th will be great but my delivery guy usually comes around six anways, so i wouldnt get in much gaming before the skins game. So I GUESS I could wait one more day.

I really liked that article from the other thread. Im soooo excited to get this game. Ive been waiting for years for teh computer to actually do something in franchise mode. To offer trades, for their to be trading on draft day. Those things along would make me buy madden over espn.

Yeah my butt will be dragging at work all next week, I'm sure I won't be the only one, LOL.

I'm really getting pumped, especially after that IGN review. The player morale thing is going to be really great. Finally it won't be so easy to keep your team stocked. Players will want to leave for more playing time and won't stick around just for the $$. The new draft sounds really awesome too.

Yea it willa lso be great that peopel progress during the yera. I know there have been plenty of times where I have had a guy that looks good but has bad awareness. They used Boller as an example of that going up during the season as he plays more, thats clutch.

Also the email and newspaper features, as well as the radio show will only make the game better. I can't wait.

Every year when I play madden, the first thing i have always had to do was get a halfback. I can dominante at running, even on all madden, but i live for having a fast halfback. My friend loves the power backs but I just need speed. In madden 2003, I always used Trung as my starting halfback. Then, when he was a skin in 2004, I would never use him becuase they lowered his broken tackle rating and other stuff by to much. So, in short, what I am most looking forward to is having Clinton Portis on my team, rihgt from the get go!!!!

Just checked EB online and my order shipped. People with overnight shipping will get it on monday. Monday is gonna be a great day, with madden and HOF game.

hey seasonticketholder, does your tracking number work yet. Ive got a feeling that they boxed up madden, put a tracking number on it but arent acutally giving it to fed ex until monday... Mabye they wernt allowed to ship until the 9th.

I was in ebgames yesterday and they said they arent getting the game until the 12th, even if you preordred it the stores cant sell it until then.

Yeah, my tracking number works. It says estimated time of arrival Monday Aug 9 by 3 PM. They're are others whose numbers don't work yet either. I'm pretty positive you should get it tomorrow, if you had the overnight shipping.

The game is going to be in some stores on Tuesday, stores like gamestop, eb games, etc.

It will be everywhere, like Target and Walmart by Thursday.

Hmm, that's kind of weird. It definitely should have said shipped by now. You might have messed up while entering your payment stuff? I'm not really sure. If there's an EB number on there, I would consider calling it to see what's up.

good news matty. In the circuit city ad this say that they will have it by wed at noon, for those who are going to pick it up. they are also giving a ten dollar gift certificate with it.

fyi, those are two seperate thoughts. the good news isnt that its in circuit city.
