The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
eagles lost to the pack today ... prolly shouldn't have..
how do u guys feel we will fare next monday ngiht, what do u expect to be changed on the field... will we win? I think we can win another close one definitly |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
We have a good chance against the Eagles. Lito is hurt. Should be a low scoring game. We have to put pressure on McNabb
I'd like to see a few high-percentage passes for Campbell early in the game. Portis looked good. Worried about Jansen. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Eagles.... I have one thing to say about eagles. They taste Like CHICKEN!!!! HIAL!
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
if the pack can beat them i think we have a pretty good chance

Packers are underrated. But the Eagles will be coming into the game pretty pissed about losing week 1 |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
a good team won't let an emotional one beat it....this will be a real test to guage how good we are...we're going to have to put more points on the board
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
hopefully the giants and cowboys tie..........
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Next week is a huge opportunity now to put the Eagles in a hole.. I'd love to drop them to 0-2 with a win next week.
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
we will win a close one... i mean its monday nihgt in philly, but i still seriously think we can win if we pressure mcnabb, get a few take-aways, and control the clock with very few punts.... and HUGELY, an improved 2ndary
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I think they are beatable. If we can get the receivers in the game more, then the O should flow better. Lets start the push for 2-0
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I think we will be looking at another close game next week, but I think it is very winnable.
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
We can beat them because getting a close win like we did today is a confidence boost.
I will be at the game cheering the Skins to victory!!! |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
All the power to you for going to the game in Philly. I would never do that though those fans are ruthless, and the most obnoxious fans in the NFL.

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
McNabb was really roughed up today by the Green Bay defense. I think he will have a lot more success against us next week. GW has to keep fresh bodies rushing the passer all day, and the front 4 can never give up on a play. The linebackers can't ever let Westbrook out of their sights.
Campbell should have a much better day against that defense. Should be a good day for him. 57% and 10.6 yards per attempt this week, and that would have been a lot better if Santana didn't drop three balls. Ints aren't a big deal going foward. I feel they will be a problem for Campbell until he learns to balance discrection with valor back there, but that will come with experience. His comp % will go up and his Ints will go down. 10.6 yards per attempt in a game where Moss dropped all those passes is very encouraging. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
We can't turn the ball over against the Eagles like we did today (2 INTs). McNabb and Westbrook will make us pay where Trent Green and Ronnie Brown couldn't.
The Eagles are tough. They basically had that game won; the defense shut down Favre and the Pack. The only Packer TD came off the muffed punt recovered for a TD. And then the Eagles muffed another punt to give the Pack another 3 points. We can't count on muffed punts, we'll have to play perfect football. The Eagles are very good. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I cant see us winning that game,Mcnabb makes us look like were wearing lead shoes

Brown didn't play a whole lot in this game, but was effective while in. Still, Westbrook is a much bigger challenge next week. I don't think we will be able to stop him. Then again, I don't think they will be able to stop us. It will be a good one. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
This our first true test to see if we are for real. Playing a pretty pissed off team in their stadium and beating them there would say a lot about this team. The Skins have to go there with a chip on their shoulder having been swept by the eagles last season, my guess is the eagles aren't the only pissed off team. This game will be war, the hungrier team wins. I think I know who that is.

The great defenses always make him look like a confused rookie, and the weak defenses look foolish trying to chase him all over.
It will be interesting to see where we lie, and it will be nice to know that unlike the Dallas game last year, we won't be looking 0-2 in the face if we fail. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
We have a lot of paybacks to collect on this season, the Skins should take to the mentality of Charles Bronson in "death wish" or Jodie Foster's new movie "the brave one". KICK THEIR ASS AND DRAG THEM OFF THE FIELD!!! Man, I'm already fired up for next week.

Yeah I was watching the Packers game as well because my friend is a huge fan. They are underrated and have a pretty good defense. What I thought was interesting is that they pretty much never run, but the Eagles get constantly scrutinized by the media when their pass heavy game plan doesn't work. |

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I think if McNabb is 15 for 33 again we might have a shot.
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
It's going to be rough on both teams next week. I'm glad we were able to stick a win to the Fins in overtime. Our guys should be pretty pumped up, and the Eagles are going to be pissed. We'll need to pressure Donavan, and try to find a way to stop Westbrook, he's a beast.
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I don't think you can put those int's only on Campbell. It did look like cooley was letting the ball come to him instead of going to the ball and Lloyd did his best not to get in the way of that pick in the endzone.

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Im not sure if we can win this one guys.

That's some good analysis. We can win any game. This one looks very winnable. The Eagles lost their best CB to a knee sprain, and even if he makes it back to the field, he won't be 100%. McNabb looked poor, completing less than 50% of his passes, and special teams looked mediocre, with a muffed punt to give Green Bay their only TD. Not to say we'll be favored, or that it's a lock, but we should be right there with this team. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
**ATTENTION ANYONE GOING TO THE GAME**
I went to a Sunday night game two years ago vs. the eagles and made a sweet sign. Anyone going should really consider: Eagles Suck Penis Nightly You are guaranted to get on tv. I would have but a police officer took my sign away. Also you may want to consider using Portis for the "P" for a less offensive sign! |

It is a funny idea though. |

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Not going to start the thread yet, but what is everyone else feeling about next week after Philly's performance in GB?
It might just be me, but GB has a pretty damn good young defense, which might have helped with how bad Philly played. McNabb didn't look great that's true, but this might be another Dolphins situation next week. Good news for us (not for them) is Sheppard won't be playing, so that helps our passing game next week. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Last year Philly's run defense sucked, they finished at the bottom of the nfl. Betts put up 173 on them.
I didn't see the stats, did GB put up any #s in the run game? Someone said they passed more. If their run D is still weak (I know they signed Spikes & replaced Trotter), they're in for a long night. Once again, the identity of the team is w/the running game on both sides of the ball. My gut tells me that Philly gets a big play early for 7-0 lead, but we regroup & shut them down, 31-10. It will be the beginning of sports radio conversation about the skins this year & the latest drama in philly about McNabb. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I like our chances against the Phillies. The defense needs to keep playing at a high level and Campbell needs to cut down on the bad throws. Not to be totally down on Campbell because he made a few wonderful plays, but he needs to eliminate some of the mistakes. I guess they call that experience.
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
i look at green bay alittle differently. the eagles try to hand them about 28 points, and they kept screwing it up. i think we run all day long on the eagles. and win the game. their receivers are down right pitiful
|
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
I think the skins can win if the D plays big and keeps McNabb on the run. However the O has to start doing something to generate points. It will be another close game and until the skins O does something they will all be close games.

If our DBs can cover well and the line can keep Westbrook relatively contained I think we'll win. I think our offense is good enough, or at least the Eagle's D is bad enough that we'll be able to move the ball and put up some points. It will just come down to stopping their offense. |
Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles
Honestly, I think it all comes down to stopping Westbrook.
He IS their only playmaker. We stop him, I think we win the game. |

I don't know. Ryan Howard is a beast. We'll have to put Rocky on him |
