Britney Spears MTV VMA opening performance

Was This A Rehearsal?! | Dlisted

Its a celeb gossip site but it seems to be the only place right now that has the video up.

But it was straight up BAD. Maybe not bad all around but bad for an opening performance. There was all this hype set up around it being her comeback and she just flopped.

Opening performances and closing performances are supposed to be big and this thing hardly fizzled.

People were complaining that she put no heart into it, was obviously visibly shaken and out of shape. (The woman had 2 babies, from a woman's perspective, I think she looks pretty good). They also said that her lip synching was off and there's even some places in the video that you can tell she wasn't even synching! And what happend to all that Criss Angel hype? He was supposed to have smoke and mirrors and make the bitch's ass disappear and shit. Looks like those plans fell through.

But apparently the whole show was a stinker. But this had to be the stinkiest.

I watched it and the performance was awful. Her dancing was lethargic and out of sync. But I guess MTV didn't really care about that, they just wanted the hype behind Britney making her "comeback" on their VMA show.

It's a shame, but I don't know that Britney has anything left. She never really had talent. She's not like Christina, who at least has a voice. She should just focus on getting her personal life together and try to be a good mom for her kids.

Re: Britney Spears MTV VMA opening performance

Give her some credit guys, she did lose some weight :)

Also, did you know that Britney Spears and talent appearing in the same sentence is the 8th cardinal sin?

That might have been the worst thing I have ever seen. She is horrible, the song is horrible and I just wasted another 30 seconds of my life posting about it.

People over the age of 12 watch MTV?

I think she should just go away for a few years, take care of her kids and focus on getting her life back in order, as well as get back in shape and ready to make a comeback. Right now it's just embarressing.

I don't know why anyone would want to hit that, if you've seen her naughty pictures you'd see the c-section scar, for me that's a huge turnoff.

Re: Britney Spears MTV VMA opening performance

Yeah a lot of people have been capping on her weight. I mean granted shes not 18 year old Britney Spears anymore but after dropping 2 kids, she could look A LOT worse.

(Think last year cheeto eating, red bull drinking, chain smoking Britney. Ewww.)

quite frankly the whole show was terrible there was like 20 things going on at all times and 2 people I strongly dislike were all over it Timberlake and Kanye West although I give credit to Timberlake for the play more videos bit but that would be more rap videos so I guess it's a lose lose, I miss rock videos

Eh. I don't think that necessarily true. I think it should be a half and half thing. I mean I highly doubt you'd ever see any Killswitch videos EVER on MTV. I guess they'd say go see that shit on Fuse. But even Fuse has become like an MTV clone now. Whereas they play more music videos than MTV ever does, its become a mesh of rock, rap and pop-rock. Though I support rap music (the good stuff with a point, Kanye West, The Roots, Common, etc. Not that shitty gangsta rap), I liked Fuse at first cause it was the only station to play ONLY rock music.

Oh well. I guess everyone sells out at some point.

Ha! The first one is of course Austin Powers. The second is Ron Burgundy. The Sportscaster referring to Kelly Bundy, if I'm not mistaken. So there is a grilled meat theme running through recent blockbuster comedies from Hollywood.

Is this guy for real or is he acting? I really can't tell. If it's an act, he is damn good!!!

Edit: I checked out his YT profile and oh boy...I think he just might be serious and very very gay.

I can handle that Dynamite but when I do see videos there's not really anything but rap on now, I to used to love fuse and agree they sold out to. Sad. It's just funny how I used to be able to put a video to every song I liked from the radio and now I'm lucky if I could tell you whats in one video.

Dude, you do realize that you're getting old right? You're not the targeted audience of MTV, VH1 and even that country music station.

Your generation's music is done and over with, move on old man :)
