Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
On Comcast Sports Network,
Lavar will be joining the Redskins Kickoff Show, with Ray Brown, B=Mitch, and Co... I don't know if he will be here permanently (and I know I'm going to get 15 people saying how much they dont care) but he'll be on at 3 on CSN. I don't have a link but it sounds like he's going to be joining the crew permanently... should be interesting! |
Re: Lavar Arringtong coming back to D.C.!!!
Wow--he'll still be the "face of the redskins" in some sense. (I guess now that we've got a new LB coach, it's safe to come back to town.)
I agree--it should be interesting. |
Re: Lavar Arringtong coming back to D.C.!!!
Didn't he talk a lot of shit about the franchise when he left? I like him as a personality, but he leaves a lot to be desired on the field.
|
Re: Lavar Arringtong coming back to D.C.!!!
He talked all kinds of smack when he left, I cannot believe they would want any association with him.
|
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
I am thrilled, I would be even more thrilled if he continues to rehab and is able to play for us again next season!!!!! That is truly the best news, I love Lavar!!!!!
Most of what he had to say took place during the time that Spurrier was coach and he had not received the bonus he was promised partially because his agents screwed up, and his sentiments plus injuries started to transfer to the new coaching staff, bottom line he felt like he was disinfranchized and that created the bad blood to begin with. I think we are all past that now and would welcome him back!!!!! |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
he did bad mouth coach Gibbs. it will be interesting to hear what he has to say now

Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Yeah I'd say were sitting pretty good at linebacker.
|
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
We need to let the past be what it is the past and leave it there! I believe that both sides are past what took place and hopefully as fans we can get past it too. I don't think he would hurt our franchise in the least. JMO

Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Leave LaVar alone...he is a human being. You're lucky he's even coming back to D.C. to do commentary and analysis for you!
|
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
I'm actually very suprised the even want him. Could care less if he ever came back for any reason!
Lets see.....you talked shit about the coach and org..? And paid to leave...? Now your coming back for the talk show......? Lavar was never very smart to begin with. |

Seriously? |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
We need to stop holding so many grudges, part of which we are not aware of the entire story. I think Lavar is a good guy and would be a great addition, there is nothing that he could do to hurt our team at this point and that would not be a reason for him to come back to DC.

Putting aside all the off-field issues, LaVar can't stay healthy. That's how he could hurt this team. I can't believe I'm even getting involved in this. If LaVar ever steps on the field as a Redskin again, I think it would unquestionably be one of the worst moves ever in the history of all sports (that hyperbolic enough?) |

Which of course all he is good for, football days are long gone for LA. |

yeah... just for tv. I do think its sad that he cant get a job, but he's probably gonna take a year of like TKO did and then come back. He'll probably land with the eagles. I have nothing to base that on, other than its close, in the NFC E, and they could pick his brain for info (little do they know its already been picked clean HAHAHAHAHA) j/k... wasn't that funny... |

He is. Sorry, I was just responding to 0201's hypothetical dream |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
If he want's to come back and do T.V then I'm all for it. I still like Lavar for the good years he gave us. I want to forget all the BS from both sides when he left. It's water under the bridge.

Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
From WP: Pierce said he has seen former Redskin star LaVar Arrington a few times since Arrington suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident this summer. "To look at him now, you wouldn't know who he is," Pierce said. "He's about 230, if that. He's in good spirits and wants to get his body healthy and get situated for next year." Many believed Arrington was going to retire before the accident, but Pierce said he thinks he will try to play again.
So who would he want to play for? You think the Skins would give him a second chance after the way he behaved with JG and Snyder? He's a malcontent, screw him!! I'll take Rocky over him anyday. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
More importantly, the fact the LaVar simply can't stay in position and freelances far too much. That's how he might hurt this team.
I don't think he can ever play football again, and if he wants to move to TV, that will probably be the best move for him. He's an outgoing personality and is likable. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
in the wash. post i read that Antonio Pierce saw him and didnt even recognize him. he said he was about 230, if that
|
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
oh, sorry, just read the post two posts up from my first one

Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Redskins and ex-Redskins I'm so F'in tired of hearing and talking about:
Mark Brunell LaVar Arrington Patrick Ramsey |

so what, putting him as a defensive end, he be slower as a LB, but as a end, he could come in and rush on 3rd downs, until he became a everydown player.... he made a mistake when he left but maybe the accident humbled him, i would to see what happens on some of your family's when you fuck up, im sure your entire family just dis owns you..........let him be |

This isn't a family, it's business. The personal touchy feely BS that people seem to have for LaVar is not going to win football games when the guy can't even stay healthy anymore. He's done, time to move on. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Was wondering just recently how long it would be before another LaVar sighting. I really see no purpose in Comcast scheduling a pre or post game interview with LaVar in the midst of A Redskins Giants game other than to stir. It should be obvious to them what an uneasy atmosphere that could be for all parties concerned, espically with a post game interview scheduled with Dan Snyder in the process. Poor choice of both time and place IMO.

I agree, I always liked LaVar as a person. He was always really nice to the fans and to me personally, so I have no qualms with him. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Lavar is still my favorite player. I hope some how he plays for us again.

from what I understand, he's coming back to do the shows for the season... they said something to the effect of "coming back to work in dc on sundays again", which leads me to believe he has actually joined ray, chick, and b-mitch for a longer term than just one show... I'm actually pretty excited about the snyder interview, too... I was drunk when I saw the preview, and don't remember what exactly got my attention and why im looking forward to it, but i am. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
I have no clue how this thread went from Lavar being hired to do pregame on Comcast to talking about Lavar suiting up for the Redskins again lolol. I don't think he's ever gonna see the field as a player again, just as an analyst.
I'm not upset at what he said, he took things a little too personally, he just needs to understand it's a business and these types of things happen. I look forward to watching him do pregame because it's good to know that he still cares about DC and the fans here, i'm sure he's not gonna get a lot of love from the fans but it's nice to know he still cares. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
I could see him being effective as an analyst. Hell, if T.Davis can get a job...

For as much as I know he is not a greg williams type player, I still would love to see him back in a Skins uni. He obviously can't play anymore though since we haven't signed him to the league min. (or anyone else for that matter) |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Didn't he say he had a copy of Redskins playbook and was going to give it to Tom Coughlin a year ago?
|
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
I do not care.
Now, if somebody told me that Joselyn Pink is comming over to my house to cook me eggs in the morning; then you would have my attention and I would be drooling over the opportuninty with excitement. |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Lavar wishes he was playing for us now. Heard he's down to 230 or so says Antonio Pierce. Williams would probably never take on Lavar unless he played for the (ofcourse...) vet minimum. (hahahahhaha). Never happen yall. Ain't like saying Gibbs would come back to coach. Lavar probably won't play in the NFL again.

He was going to be our next LT but it never came to pass! To bad for him and us he never reached those high goals! |
Re: Lavar Arrington coming back to D.C.!!!
Lavar should be in dallas with deion . Why would anyone want that lazy underachieving bum back in DC ? All he ever did here was whine and cry how the coaches didn't know how to use him ? LA , the next LT .... Rocky has more plays in 2 weeks than Lavar did in his career. What is with CSN always hiring angry ex Redskins to do these shows ?
