Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Ok so it's that time again.
Skins 23 Cardinals 10 Campbell has a big day as the running game continues to struggle and we have to lean on JC more and more, which isn't necessarily a bad thing anymore. The defense continues to play lights out and only gives up a garbage time TD late in the 4th qtr. Santana bounces back as the game plan sets out to get him involved early and often. Rattay throws at least 2 picks. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
I actually like that score a lot. I think we might put one more in at home, but I'll stick with the Cards score.
Skins 30, Cardinals 10. Our defense is going to shut people down all season long... |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
The Skins go crazy at home in a must have game, Skins 30 Cards 7.
Another note, still depressed from a game we should have won, looking at the schedule, should beat Cards, Jets, Bills, Bears, Philly at home, Bucs on the road and either the Vikings or the Boys at home. 7 more wins, 10-6 strong wildcard. Optimisim springs eternal! |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Well if our offensive line can play, which at this point it looks like most of them will be able too, I really think we roll. I dont think the Cardinals are that good, with a 3rd string QB running the show on offense, we should eat them alive defensivley. I'm getting to the point, where I'll be suprised if our defense gives up more than one TD a game against teams in this league which arent elite (Obviously I wont predict the same vs NE, Dallas, ect)....however, if our offense can't get rolling, this is going to be a close game. I really don't think very much of Arizona, but than again I have not really watched them very much so I dont know. Skins at home 24-3....I really think our defense is that good. However, we'll see.....but I think we'll be good at home vs The Cards....but they've always played us tough as well, so who knows.
|
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Skins are giving up 13.8 pts/game, Cards are surrendering 22.7. Third string QB, on the road, Cards fail to score a TD, Skins manage to hang on to the football. Skins win 27-6.
|
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
I think we struggle and come out flat but find a way to win. Cardinals traditionally give the Skins a tough game and this will not be any different.
Skins 17 Cards 9 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
I think this will be a close game. I think the offense will score 10 points in the first two drives, but struggle to move the ball after that. Our defense will be solid once again, limiting the Cardinals offense to three fieldgoals and forcing turnovers that lead to a couple easy scores. I don't think our offense gets away without at least one turnover of it's own, and a special teams mix-up leads to seven for the Cards.
Redskins 20 Cardinals 16 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
The Redskins should take advantage of a third string quarterback that does not know the playbook. Big win, 31 - 10.
|
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Skins go crazy having only giving up 2 TDs threw the air this season and they shut down Edge while getting 5 Interceptions and 6 sacks in a 45-9 rout
|
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
This game is extremely important and I think we'll bounce back this week.
Redskins 24 Cardinals 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Skins 28, Cards 13
I think Rocky Mac gets the only pick of the day. Edge goes for 90+ on the ground, but we stiffle the passing game pretty good. Big day for the offense. Portis scores on the ground, and Campbell throws for 3 TDs. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Skins 31
Cards 12 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
i think we will win, but barely... 27-21
|
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Boring, boring game:
Skins: 16 Cards: 6 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
I don't know enough about the cards D, except that Eric Green (a Hokie!) starts ahead of Antrell Rolle, a cb from the U who was picked ahead of our own C. Rogers.
I know they have a couple of playmakers on D - Wilson e.g. but not sure how stout they are up front. As our O line is now, we'll have to play the same game plan we did the last 2 games, set up the run w/the pass. We've been throwing a lot on 1st downs, think we'll have to keep that up. Something tells me that Rattay is gonna bounce back & surprise us. They've got the wr's & he is a vet. Also, don't underestimate Russ Grimm's influence on their o line. This one will be close but we'll hold onto the ball late in the game for a change for a late td & the D will close it w/a pick. Skins 20 Cards 17 |

Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
For some reason, I see the Az D showing up on us. If the receivers hang onto the ball, it should be a great game for JC.
I see us winning Skins 20 Cards 3 |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
It's going to be 24-21 redskins.
ARE is going to return a punt for the winning TD late in the game. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
38-7 Redskins
Defense scores two TDs.....one fumble recovery by Carter and Pic 6 by ST LLoyd has first TD of season Suisham has a big day, team is just straight up angry, and a back up career loser is at QB for the cards, and WE ARE AT HOME!!!! |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Skins 24 Cards 3
I was a laughingstock when I selected the Skins D/ST in my fantasy league this year. It's good to get the last laugh. And yes, I also predict a defensive score against the Cards. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
this should, should be an easy win for us,warners probably not going to play and if we cant beat rattay we dont deserve a spot in the playoffs.
redskins 31 cards 10 ( I didnt post a single negative thing this week after the loss,I didnt post anything positive either, lol) |

I see us winning Skins 20 Cards 3
I agree about the AZ defense. Yes they'll be without Dansby, which is good for us, but they are gonna come after our tattered O-line for sure. I'm not worried about our D- in fact I don't think they'll get anything more than a few Neil Rackers' FGs. But I'm very concerned about our offense. I'm saying Redskins 20, Arizona 6 in a pretty boring football game. I'll be happy if our offense explodes, but it will once again reinforce our inconsistency from week to week. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
For all the reasons I thought GB would win last week (po'd team & fans & playing at home) I think the Skins will win this week. It wont be an easy win but it will be a win.

Skins: 16 Cards: 6
I agree except for one thing...SHUTOUT!! Skins: 17 Cards: 0 Thank you for finally catching a TD B Lloyd...make that two. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
we are getting a break with warner not playing. but i don't think this is going to be an easy game at all. cards have boldin, fitz, b. johnson and e. james. i think it depends on if rattay can play a decent game. if he can't then we should win easily. but he gets the going it's going to be close.

skins 24 cards 17
The redskins D is great against any team that they play. They will do well against the Cardinals as long as Carlos Rogers plays well. If he doesn't play well, then the redskins will have to give him help with probably Taylor up top. That may open up some things for the cardinals offense, but probably not too much. Going back to Rogers - he needs to start improving in his coverage and/or start working on making big plays. What I mean by big plays is - intercepting, causing fumbles, or hitting to hurt - that way, the opposing team stops throwing it his way. |

Have you not been watching this year? Overall, he's been having a GREAT year. INT returned for a TD?! Awesome. Sure, he could have tackled lower on that TE, but 95% of his plays have been nothing but great. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Prediction:
Skins 17 Cards 6 Taylor gets a defensive touchdown off an interception - something he was working on the whole week in practice. Betts gets more carries this game. A backup offensive lineman steps it up for the redskins to allow more strong-side runs. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Arizona Cardinals pass defense ranks 17th after facing the likes of
San Fransisco - 32nd passing offense Seattle - 8th passing offense Baltimore - 14th passing offense Pittsburg - 27th passing offense St.Louis - 24th passing offense Carolina - 26th passing offense We are going to pick apart the corners and linebackers. If I'm the def. coordinator for the Cardinals, I'm going to force JC to beat me deep. With our WR's hurting, that may be tough to do. Look for Keenan to step up big time on the deep slants, and maybe we'll hit Lloyd on a deep bomb. Campbell will need to thread the needle this week and may throw a pick or two. Redskins 35 ARZ - 14 JC has a passer rating around 100.0 |

If he does that when the redskins are down or in a close game, then that would be Awesome to me. During the losses, there were too many plays that the quarterback went to his side. I don't know if I'm expecting too much, but I wouldn't rate his play as great, I think great is making big plays (when the game is still on the line). I think right now I would rate his play as average to below-average. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Why would it be below average? In thinking back the WHOLE season thus far, I can think of maybe two bad plays.

Well maybe average. I guess expectations from him as a high draft pick to me makes him below-average. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
This will be the best game of the season. Are corners match up perfectly against there big slow wide recievers. So we have 9 people if we feel like it to stop the run. Cover 0 all day.

I can't name a defense that is playing better in the nfl right now. Maybe except the ravens. |

I didn't realize until today that despite our winning record (should be 5-0) that we don't have any WR's with a TD catch. That's crazy and needs to change, hopefully starting this weekend. As much as people love Moss and ARE, wide receiver play is obviously a big deficiency on this team. |
Re: Skins vs. Cardinals predictions
Nothing gets me more excited than the thought of yelling Cooley's name for three hours. I predict another great game for him.
