Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

I'll post this now, but post AFTER game

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, if you were on the opposing team and you watched the complete lack of class on the part of Belichick running up the score at the end of the game, how hard is it to resist the urge to go for a cheap shot against one his star players just to send a message that we won't be humiliated like that.

Tony, assess Jason Campbell's performance this year and how does he bounce back from his terrible game against the Pats

Tony, is there anything strategy-wise that the Redskins could have done differently considering the injuries to Smoot and Rogers?

Tony, is it easier to get over a blowout or a close loss?

Tony, is it time to pack our bags and give up on the season?

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, with a thirty + point lead, is going for it on fourth a sign of being a tremendous douchebag? What about the second time it happens in the same game?

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, we were 4-3 two years ago and went on to make the playoffs (and win a wild card game). We are 4-3 now and just lost to one of the best teams of the past decade or so. Will we make the playoffs this year?

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, back to the douchebaggery. Pundits looked at the Patriots last week and said they were "running it up" when they re-inserted their starting QB following a poor series against the Dolphins. Isn't this kind of hubris why God sent the flood back in the Old Testament? If not, can I build a boat anyway?

Portis or Betts?

What's wrong with Santana Moss?

Is it wrong to wish the rectal cancer on Belicheck for running up the score like that? Because it feels pretty good.

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony,

Are there any positives a team on the losing end can take away from a game like this? Do you believe this might be a wake up call for the 'skins, or the kiss of death? By the way, Bill Belicheck will get his for being a classless punk coach. That is all.

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

The offense seemed to be playing on its heels the whole game, and Campbell was checking down way too often. Was this because of the Patriots Defense, or the Skins trying to limit mistakes?

Are we expecting too much from this depleated offensive line? 16 carries for 47 yards from a team that claims to be run first doesn't amount to much...and it seems that Campbell did not have much time to throw the ball...

4-3 with 2 winnable games coming up, is it now or never time?

With injuries to Smoot and Rogers, will the secondary be able to keep up as they have all year? Did the secondary break after Rogers left the game yesterday?

Given a little healing time, my anger has subsided. Excuse my vulgarity.

Is this a "burn the tape" game, or are there lessons to be learned here?

Tony,

What about the injury to Carlos, do we have the depth at corner to compete?

Who is our coach next year? Our players dont play to their full potential and havent in the 3.5 yrs that this staff has been in place. The skins are standing at 1 game over .500 something has to change in the offseason.

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, after a game like yesterday how would Gibbs have addressed the players. Never mind what he says publicly, what would be his demeanor in the locker room?

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony,

I've had many a discussion with disgruntled Redskins fans screaming at the play calling. Do you believe that this season's futility on offense has been indicative of the coaches being handcuffed by their lack of talent/depth or vice versa? Is there a 50-50 split to share the blame?

No questions . . . just wanted to tell you I met you at Bryant College back in the late '70s when you were with the Pats during training camp. I asked you for an autograph and you were smiling and super nice. Great memory for me.
Thanks for being a great pro and a someone to look up to.

Re: Patriots Questions for Tony McGee

Tony,

Wasn't going for it on 4th and 2 actually a better option for the skins??

The Pats actually felt sorry for the skins and gave them an opportunity to score. A field goal would have been a sure 3 points.. end of drive. But going for it on 4th down could have actually prevented points, cause a turnover, or cause a fumble which the skins might have run for a TD? Am I right??

Tony,

Are offenses suppose to keep their scores down when they are leading by a over 30 points?? Or are defenses suppose to keep offenses from scoring 30 point leads?? I'm confused as to which is which.

Tony,

Seeing many opinions about Belichick and the Pats being disrespectful to other teams, don't you think it's the other way around??

This is the NFL, I think those teams (coaches included) that didn't play to their full potential disrespected the game by playing poorly! They knew the Pats are a good team and they disrespected the PATS and the rest of the NFL by playing crappy. They disrespected their numerous fans who paid $$$ to see them playing crappy. That's disrespect!

Just because players have been paid millions does not give them the right to play down right crappy!!! Pure and simple classlessness!!

What are your thoughts? ;)

Tony, what about the patriots scoring with under a minute left against the cowboys, in a game they already had won. or putting Brady back in, with about 2 minutes left. after the backup throws an interception? i would have thought if he didn't learn anything from coach Parcells, he would have at least learned alittle class. because i don't see coach Parcells doing it that way

Tony, why are Patriots fans becoming bigger douche bags than their head coach?
Tony, why are Patriots fans becoming bigger douche bags than their head coach?
I read that previous post by that pats fan and it actually made sense. Except that part about crappy playing teams being the one's that disrespect the game. I'm a Cowboys fan by the way but grew up in Stoneham MA during my childhood years.

But I don't think that guy was being a douchbag. He didn't personally attack anyone (for example, Matty that I just quoted), nor did he say any profanities or wish evil doings on anybody. While browsing the forums, I've read a lot of skins fans agree that "brady deserves to get hurt" and some other disturbing comments.

No one in professional sports deserves to get hurt. Athletes do get hurt but wishing someone gets hurt is just not right.

Play the sport as it is, within it's legal boundaries. I don't believe running up the score is illegal. As exemplified in that Lions/Bears game when the Lions scored 34 points in the 4th quarter, or that Cardinals/Bears game last year when the bears overcame a huge deficit in the 4th quarter to actually win the game by their defense.

No lead is safe in the league and I think that's what belichick is trying to avert.

Peace!

its not just skins fans... alot of analysts are looking at it the same way as we fans are...

cowher had something to say about it on espn, saying hed be shocked if someone didn't take a cheap shot at him sooner or later...

this is an extremely physical game played with a high amount of emotion by a bunch of brutes... many of which aren't known for scholastic achievements, much less self control... so its only a matter of time.

I don't think there's much wrong in taking a little pleasure in it if you're a skins fan, either...

Its kinda like that redneck uncle you have... the one thats always telling you to "stop hitting yourself" as a kid, and "plays" a little too rough because he's a big asshole... then you turn 14 and he slips up and you clock him with an axe handle at a family reunion and suddenly YOU'RE the asshole...

f'em... I hope he gets hurt.... poor thing will have to sit at home and bang supermodels and count his millions of dollars and his coach will have to live knowing it was his arrogance that sealed his fate...

No analyst said that Tom Brady "deserves" a cheap shot, they only say he might be a victim of a cheap shot.

I don't see how you can possibly know that, but I will concede the point since I completely made it up anyway...

On that point, though, your assertion that "no one in professional sports deserves to get hurt" is absurd. What makes them so special? There are lots of people of every walk of life that deserve to get hurt, even killed.

I hereby change my original statement... lots of analysts think you deserve to get hurt...

I'd tend to agree... :)

No, he wasn't attacking anyone but to be here a few days after the game still talking about it his intention clearly was to instigate. There's no need for that. We have plenty of fans from other teams here, and typically after a game we'll discuss it for a day or two, both sides say good game and move on. He was just being a prick.
