NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
Let's start up an NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions...and lets see who will win! Playoffs start: January 5, 2008.
NFC: Green Bay Packers 12-4 Dallas Cowboys 12-4 Seattle Seahawks 11-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11-5 Washington Redskins 10-6 New York Giants 10-6 AFC: New England Patriots 15-1 Indianapolis Colts 13-3 Pittsburgh Steelers 13-3 San Diego Chargers 10-6 Cleveland Browns 12-4 Jacksonville Jaguars 11-5 |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
A 5-2 prediction for us the rest of the way, huh. Sounds optimistic from where I'm sitting, but I hope you're right.
And a very slight problem with your predictions, you have 3 wildcards and no NFC South winner. |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
While I'm not going to make a prediction...
Ninjalink - someone has to win the NFC South and make the playoffs...which in your scenario throws out the 9-7 Lions...who will it be? |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
Yeah, I made a mistake. I corrected it.
|
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
realistically, I dont see us going 5-2 from here on out...i think we lose to the cowboys twice (sad but true-unless they are resting people in week 17) and lose to the giants at giant stadium. You also have Tampa finishing 11-5, which means they are a (very?) good team, which means it could be another loss for our skins. Ultimately, I think we get 4 wins 3 losses, and we finish 9-7. Not sure where that will leave us in the playoff hunt- likely on the outside looking in...

Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
NFC East: Dallas 13-3
NFC South: Tampa Bay 10-6 NFC Central: Green Bay 12-4 NFC West: Seattle 8-8 Wildcards: Giants 11-5 and Washington 9-7 For Washington, it is time to start taking the games that look very winnable on paper and pounding those teams on the field. Beating Tampa, Buffalo, Chicago, and Minnesota gets us to at least 9-7 regardless of how we play against Dallas and the Giants. |

With my Washington Redskins prediction of 10-6. I think they redskins will lose against the Bucs and Cowboys (once). I think they are able to win the remainder of the games. (Hopefully!)

Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
While I REALLY like Adrian Peterson, it's going to be HUGE for him to be out against us. If we lose to an AP-less Vikings, we don't even deserve to see the playoffs.
|
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
Even with these playoff predictions, these teams still have a long way...For Example: The Cowboys got a schedule of Redskins (twice), Eagles, Packers, Lions, Panthers etc. It is tough to tell if they are even going to win the division to be honest.

Cowboys have already dominated the Eagles at Lincoln and will not loose to them in Texas Stadium, the Lions gaem will be interesting because the Lions always seem to flip a different switch when playing Dallas. However the Lions do not have a running game that scares anyone. Panthers? Please they don't know from one week to the next who is going to be thier QB. The Packers game is in Dallas and it will be the biggest game of the year in the NFC this year. That is a game that will decide the #1 seed in the NFC playoff picture. Green Bay is an enigma and is winning games in spite of thier running game rather than because of it. Put plenty of pressure on Favre and he will make Favre-like mistakes. He maybe the NFL all-time TD passing leader, but he is also the NFL all-time interception leader. That will be a good game. |

Everyone likes to point out that the Packers have no running game, but Ryan Grant just put up 119 yards and a TD rushing on the Vikings last week, who use to be pretty good against the run. The Packers running game will improve down the streach IMO and their D is playing great right now. If the Skins fall apart, I am cheering for Favre to win it all and retire after this season. |

Why can't your Redskins win the next game against them. Stop Jacobs and Eli will play into your hands and make mistakes. I thnk the Skins have a better D than the Giants and will have a better record. |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
We won't win that game because we'll get lit up down the field thanks to Taylor being out (unless he can miraculously heal by then).
I mean GW might have a total revelation about how he was playing not to give up the big play and he'll surprise us, but history isn't giving me a lot of hope. |

Green Bay 12-4 New Orleans 10-6 Seattle 9-7 NYG 11-5 Tampa Bay 10-6 We miss at 9-7 because Tampa beats us head to head. If we beat Tampa head to head, we get in instead. |

The 64,000 dollar question.....is this now the norm, or is it the exception? |

we lost to Green bay and the Giants and they had no running game at all!!!!! We could lose out, definately not the secenario im hoping for but right now we are getting beat when we have the lead at half. we have no killer instinct. I see us @ 8-8. |

Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
I'm going to abstain from posting records and just predict seedings, so here you go.
NFC 1-Dallas 2-Green Bay 3-Seattle 4-New Orleans (call me crazy, I still think they can win that division) 5-Washington 6-Detroit NEW YORK GIANTS COLLAPSE AGAIN, YEAH! AFC 1-New England 2-Indianapolis (although I am very tempted to put Pittsburgh here) 3-Pittsburgh 4-San Diego (by default) 5-Jacksonville 6-Tennessee |

Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
After reading the WP article about Gibbs defending his decisions in the Eagles game and throughout the season, I feel way less optimistic about our chances for the playoffs. An unnamed player said he, along w/ other team members, expect confusion from the sidelines in game situations. To me, that explains a lot about the way this team struggles and why players, IMO, don't seem to play w/ the level of intensity they would if they had full faith in the coaching.
Something got to change after this season. I'm not saying I know what it is (anymore), but holy shit something got to change. |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
I'm thinkin' 8-8 and out of the playoffs ... and that's realistic ... As long as we play Cover 2 we'll lose no matter how many yards CP runs for or how good Campbell and the rest of the O play. Also if Gibbs continues to coach with his head up his ass like williams is doin'... we'll lose ... if he continues to burn TO to kick FG's we'll lose ... we need a much better performance by our team because the last 5 weeks have been sub par by a long shot ... It all has to begin at the coaching staff... IF our coaches start to earn their money and actually follow thru with what they say in their press conferences then we have a shot at 10-6 but I dont see that happening...
No Rogers No Taylor No Washington who unlike Godfrey can catch the ball No Thomas No Jansen No Moss -- He isnt reliable anymore ... look at his stats he had one really good year as a JET and so far 1 really good year here ... Randle El is Campbells go to guy and Campbell has more chemistry with Thrash and he makes bout a mil a year ... Moss complained about how the players should train on their own .. yeah looks like he does ... Injury plague year again ... i know a lot of ppl dont agree with me on this but its time for him to either start playin thru the pain, start to gel with Campbell or leave |

Washington Redskins 9-7 and over in that other conference: 1. New England Patriots 15-1 2. Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4 3. Indianapolis Colts 12-4 4. San Diego Chargers 9-7 5. steelers at new england in the afc,-pats win and beat the shit out of green bay in the superbowl 62-10. |
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
do you really think the pack is that good to be in the NFC championship???
|
Re: NFL 2007 Playoff Predictions
I agree, despite the Packer's record I'm still not sold on the fact that they can make it all the way to the Championship game. Ask me this question in 2-3 and I will tell you whether they are good enough. But if their new RB whatever his name is continues with this recent found success, they could make it far.
