Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
Not to call anyone out or anything here but the last people I expected to have class Our biggest rival Dallas has shown nothing but class.
Have we seen any condolences from the Phili Eagles? Or that idiot that posted last night? I mean and what that guy said made me the most angry this morning. Thats someones DAD that was murdered dude, no one should be without a father and I don't know how someone sleeps at night after saying that. and If I may make a request...We need to change our background here to something ST related |
Re: You know what..
Andy Reid released a statement today with his condolences, he's got class, F... their fans for all I care.
As for the fans the support from other teams has been great. |
Re: You know what..
what was said? I never saw it
|
Re: You know what..
I agree, there can be hatred amoungst fans, but once something like this happens... everything football related goes out the window and we realize that we are all fragile humans and wouldnt wish this upon our worst enemies.
Side note: I hope whomever did this is sh*tting thier pants right now, they either have to deal with STs boys or the Police (STs father is the chief of police (i would assume killing a cops son is as bad as killing a cop), either way a sh*t storm is coming their way! |
Re: You know what..
pg86, who exactly are you talking about? I've been checking the Eagles official message board frequently and, save for a couple exceptions, I don't have issues with anything that has been said.
|
Re: You know what..
The Cowboys might be our bitter rivals but we share a mutual respect for each other. I actually shed a tear when coach Landry died, as much as I despised his teams, he was a classy individual. Cowboy fans in their forum have been very sympathetic and classy to this tragedy.

First degree murder is a death penalty offense, ESPECIALLY IN FLORIDA! |
Re: You know what..
I am refering to this post on the Eagles official board.
"Whatever, though. I'm going to continue making fun of the "tragedy" that has befallen poor wittle Seaney because he's a scumbag piece of **** thug who quite likely got what was coming to him. Here's hoping you die screaming, motherFer." |
Re: You know what..
Did you really expect the entire country to come to Sean's side. We as Redskins fans obviously take his side on certain issues. But from the outside looking in most people would just think hes a thug because of his past. We had a conection to him because he directly effected our lives (if football means as much to you as it does me). So dont expect every teams fans to come on our board and give thier respects, think about it like this: How many times has Sean Taylor personally made thousands of fans from opposing teams scream at thier televisions, curse Sean's name because he just single handedly changed or won the game for the Redskins...
As far as fans coming on here with negative comments or negatively commenting on his death, they can all fucking burn.... |

Which is ironic that he would be so insensitive considering he's honoring, in his screen name, another player that died too soon and while still in the NFL. His argument of course was that Brown died in a car accident, not as the result of being a "thug" |
Re: You know what..
this just goes to show you how bad iggles fans are. maybe a super bowl title would give them some class...

The official board may be fine and that is all good. I went to a site I had been to before - Concrete Field. These guys are the eagles fans that give them their bad rep. Their comments are just obscene. 2007 point & laugh at racist skins fans and their high hopes for a mediocre team To all fans who have come here to express their condolences. Thank you. |

Wow, a whole bunch of a-holes on that Philly board, but really not surprising. Sad really.

It's a horrible thing to say and I regret this as I type it but I kind of want one of their own to die now and then just mock them repeatedly about it. |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
i have read through part of the forum. those people are monsters.
i thought some of us here are kind of annoying, but in a normal argumentative fan way. these guys seem like total pricks. freaking wow... |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
I can say that at the Giants MB the majority of them have shown sympathy and have nothing but good things to say. You have your few but as I said, most of them have said nothing but good will in their posts.

Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
Hey guys I just came back from work today I was on the road the whole day and I just learn about the tragic, tragic news I'm speechless I just can't wrap what has happen today specially since last night when some good reports came in and I was here with you guys I really thought there was some hope.
It's a really sad day the world has lost a great individual, I know it's just football but this kid had heart, passion, leadership and determination, he always came out and gave it his all, never backed down and as a rival fan I always respected that about him. We all need to take some of his qualities to our own life because he truly was a great individual even in his darkest times he came out and tried to become a better person, teammate, football player and recently father. My condolences to you guys, his family, friends, teammates and the whole Redskins community from the bottom of my heart. My only take is honor him, remember him, remember the passion he brought to the game, and how he humiliated everyone who messed in his space specially my cowboys, crayton has his helmet tattooed in his back forever. |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
This is a nice gesture by Roy Williams
DallasCowboys.com - News
Cowboys safety Roy Williams said he plans to have his own tribute to Taylor, who like himself, was a top draft pick. Taylor went fifth overall to the Redskins in 2004 while Williams was the Cowboys' eighth overall pick in 2002. "It's tragic. I'm wearing a (No.) 21 on the back of my helmet for the rest of the season," Williams said. "He's a great dude. I met him at the Pro Bowl and was impressed with him on the field and off the field. He really will be missed."
Knowing the NFL's tight rules on this kind of stuff he'll probably get seriously fined if his tribute extends beyond whatever period the NFL assigns to paying tribute to Taylor. |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
To everyone that follows the redskins or the nfl in general who are sadden by this situation my condolences go out to each and everyone of you. I have never been a skins fan but one thing that each and everyone of us that have feeling are hurt by this situation. It is defenitly a tragic day in the nfl. He brought alot to the table with his playing ability and his passion for the game.
Other than the little bit of personal things they have been saying I don't know much other than he seemed like a decent person. The sad thing is we as people take so much for granted thinking there will always be tomorrow. Well tomorrow is not promised for none of us. My fondest memory personally my favorite was last years pro bowl when he jacked up that kicker in the game. Oh my god I jumped out of my chair and started going crazy. That memory I will never forget. Taylor you will be missed not only by your family or the redskins and their fans but by all fans associated with the nfl. Once again I offer my condolences to all that is affected by this situation. |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
I know its fun to hate the Cowboys but the rivalry between fans is usually nothing more then humourous banter. We could be 0-15 and would still be saying the Cowboys suck, but at the end of the day we appreciate them, because that rivalry is a great experience for Cowboy and Redskin fans alike, especially when you win.
Personally I'm not surprised by the Cowboy fan reactions, most of the Cowboy fans I've met in my lifetime have been good people, and quite frankly I've enjoy their company everytime I got the chance to meet one. As for the Eagle fan, well IMO the guys just venting about how pissed off he is with his existance without blaming himself. Instead hes using Sean Taylor as a temporary boost of his already low self-esteem. If anything the guys trash and should be ignored, just like he already has been his entire life. The guy craves attention, so by saying outlandish statements hes hoping that people will notice him. Ironically this guy isn't even worth the effort to type the paragraph I just wrote. I will say that Sean Taylor wasn't exactly a saint and I'll even go so far as to argue with pg86 that some kids are better off without their fathers (think deadbeat Dads and pedophiles), but Sean Taylor isn't even close to someone I would deem unfit to raise a child. If anything it seems that the guy was going to be a wonderful father. And on that note pg86 is right on the money. ST was someones father and for that I would hope that people would have the decency to remember that, rather then take the chance to attack thug culture, which ironically I'm against. |
Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
I've been truly touched by not only our "irregular" friends like D'BOYZ and sandtrapjack, but the fans of other teams who joined this site just to post how saddened they were for the loss of Taylor. You are all a blessing.

Re: Cowboys Fans Show Class in Response to Taylor's Death
I just read through that concrete field bullshit. Wow. I really don't care if they feel the need to get worked up about ST's passing but to read some of the poison on that site, the absolute disregard for any human life... I'm speechless. What a cess pool.

Maybe thatīs why McNabb wants to get out of town...
