Sean Taylor in Madden 08
 

I was playing this yesterday and it felt so weird seeing 21 on the field, even in a video game. I really didn't know what to do... I know this is stupid. Just wanted to see if anyone else felt/noticed the same thing.

I just got a Black Friday HDTV for my bedroom so Madden has pretty much been an every night addiction but it was definitely an awkward feeling playing Madden and knowing that 21 just.. doesn't exist on the field anymore.

It almost hurt.

I know what you mean I was playing my girlfriend last night and Sean took 2 interceptions back for TDs and I almost cried. Because it hit me even harder that he will never be on the field again.

I also played last night and didn't want to stop playing... I'm going to probably break down if they update a roster and I cant use him... I'm playing while I can so I can still play with him online...

For some reason, though.. .yesterday when I got online no one who was matched up with me wanted to play. Usually the first one or two people will play, but yesterday I had a hard time getting a game using the skins.

Every time i see his picture or watch a highlight video I get emotional... Playing with him is almost therapeutic, but very sad at the same time.

Goodness I was thinking about him being missing from the '09 version, I play on keeping '08 as long as possible.

Just a thought, would it be good or bad to have Taylor on the cover of '09 as a tribute?

I did think of Taylor on the cover of Madden but the Madden cover is never followed by good things. I know he is in a better place now but it's called the Madden Curse and the last thing I want is a curse on ST even if it wouldn't affect him the least.

I played Madden 08 the moment I got home from school after hearing the news I played a game against the Cowboys and I used ST in every facet of the game I could. I know I will be putting him in Madden 09, I couldn't play without him.

I don't think I can play with him again since I will probably break down during the game. My friends told me that I need to play a franchise on the game and dedicate my season to him. It will be so freaking weird next year he want be on the game. Think about it he was probably going to be a top 2 safety on the game behind only Reed. It is a shame.

The best thing about Madden is you can always create a player. ST can live on through Madden.

I don't think I even want to play Madden yet. Seeing S.T on the game and knowing He will never play again sounds to depressing to me right now.

Im in Iraq right now, using Gov computers, I can't watch any videos online so i cant watch any of his great highlight reals, any news cast except the quick 1 minute crap on TV, The only thing i have is Madden '08 on my PSP. Im 10-2, S.T has 15 sacks, 6 picks 2TDs, 3 Fumb Rec 1TD.

I dont know if i want to leave him in the game at the end of the season or what... this is going to suck when i get back to the states, and able to get Madden '09 for my 360, and he wont be in the game, I thought about creating myself, (usually at QB, But Instead) at Safety....

its going to suck when the new roster update happens becasue they will take him out of the game. thats what they did with Dwill last year after he died, it was depressing.

i played madden for the sole reason of playing with sean. I always play as sean when i play. It has always been fun playing as him. I can't explain it. It feels better when sean gets an int instead of another player, even in the game.

I won't play him again. It just felt bittersweet. It's bad enough that everytime a game is loading and it shows the hints or whatever about hit stick, it's got a picture of him up there.

Yeah, it is bittersweet. I believe when I was reading the release notes for the game, they said Sean Taylor was the hardest hitter in the 08 version. I hope they don't take him out.

I think it would be great for Sean to be the 09 cover thought I doubt it would have much appeal outside of Skins fans.

i know exactly what you mean, i get chills whenever he's involved in a play, knowing that I will never get to see Sean play on the field ever again. I say Sean Taylor's play on the field was the basis for the hit stick.

Every week, I play the upcoming game on Madden on my PC. I know, weirdo..

I played the Bills game and I decided to get ST monster game, so I controlled him and blitzed on every play. He had a few sacks, but the D was getting burned (twice) on deep balls and a big run by Lynch since he wasn't back there. So I let him back and took over Carter...and Sean got an INT.

I kept thinking it was so sad he won't play again. However, I'm leaving him in the game because he should be there.

I am probably going to add him to the All-time Redskins team (rosters for each team I DL'd) too. He belongs there.

First time I played after he died was on Tuesday, and I had to turn the game off. Just a bad thing to have happen to a good person. I just played again last night against one of my boys and he took to INT's for a TD, plus a FF. I'm going to miss him.

I haven't played since he died because its just depressing to think about. I think I'm just going to move P.P to FS now so its not so shocking when they do an update. I always played with ST so it really sucks

I played Madden for the first time tonight. I'm going to do nothing but play as Taylor. In my first game playing solely as Taylor, HE had 2 picks, 3 sacks and 12 tackles.

just keep in mind buddy that they are going to take him out of the game during the next roster update. I just don't want you to be devastated when it happens.

Sup fellas I'm new here and just wanted to say hey and that I'm also a member on the extremeskins. I am the leader on xbox360 with the most wins as the redskins and most played with them. I stop playing over a month ago and I'm sure nobody is even near it yet. I stop playing online cuz Campbell sux in the game and everybody glitches. As far as ST not being in the game I think they should leave him on but if they take him out I would understand! But you can always save the different rosters and use him during franchise mode. Well anyway nice meeting you guys and if you have any questions about madden and all the glitches I got you. Remember I'm the redskins king online!

Yea i noticed it too while i was playing the game. I couldn't play the game i turned it off and i stopped playing...

I cant believe you just said that!?! Are you crazy? Fans that went to HS school with him and followed him through his years at the "U" dude that comment was horrible... I am by no means a fan of the Redskins but I joined Warpath to see what everyone was saying about Sean! Remember where he came from before you make comments about his fans!!!

Yeah, he's still on mine. I"m in like 2018 on my franchise and he's only 3 INT's from being the all-time leader. I hope he doesn't "retire" before the next season.

There was a roster update today on ps2 online and they didn't remove him they just benched him and didn't mess with his stats. They had LL at FS and RD at SS. Of course I changed it back to what it was. Its gonna suck when I do have to leave Doughty in there, he has no speed and neither does Springs!
