just wanted to let everyone know
 

i am new to RedskinsWarPath but in the past few days i have been reporting to the site to check out updates on Sean Taylor and decided to finally join the Forum.
i wanted to let everyone here know i joined the site becuase, Plainly, I liked what i saw. A lot of the info i got off the site was reliable and accurate.

Welcome. I think you'll find the people on here are awesome and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. It's informative, too. Never met a Redskins question I couldn't get an answer to on The Warpath.

im sorry to let u all know my Grandfather (Wayne Sevier) died about 7-8 years ago from a heart attack.
it was very hard on me being a big fan of watching him coach and all
i was only 8 when he died but there isnt a week that goes by that i dont think about him

I just googled Wayne Sevier to learn more about him. I knew he was our special teams coach back during Gibbs 1.0 but that's about the extent of it. So one of the first search results was this article, which shows two of his grandsons wearing his old superbowl rings. Are you either of these two?

Your Grandfather was the best special teams coach in the entire NFL at the height of his career as a Redskin coach.

this is so amazing that all of you are so interested in my Grandfather. The two boys in the picture are my close cousins. my uncles sons. not me. those guys are at my house just about every week and we have some great memories with our Grandpa.

For what ever reason, I had no clue he had passed. I'm sorry.

It's great to hear that you were so close though. Again, everyone here that was around in the 80's knows how important our 'teams were to those great years.
