Consider it bought. One of the most under-appreciated and short-lived comedies ever. One of those shows that it's hard to get into if you miss a lot of the episodes. I second the recommendation of buying this series.

Surprised to see so much love for this show. I watched a lot of the episodes and never once thought it was that great of a show. Just happened to be sandwiched between good shows.
$30 or $60, you are over paying.

I'm sure there is too...but thanks for thinking my opinion is not worth stating, but everyone else's is. I thought we are all allowed to post our opinions?

ps- If I was pissing on your parade, I'd get a lot more specific. There are plenty of shows people like that to me suck. Like I love new york for instance. (or just about any "reality" show) A.D. was average at best in my mind. I could watch it, meaning it wasn't completely horrible, but wasn't worth spending money on IMO. That's all I'm saying, not pissing on anything or anyone.

AD is pretty funny. I put it in the same class as Scrubs, you either get it or you don't, and it takes a couple of shows to really "get it."

With AD and Scrubs, the first two or three episodes I watched I thought, "This show is retarded." Then I got hooked. Maybe I am retarded...

Totally off the wall question, but does anyone know where I could get Season 1, Disc 3 of AD? I borrowed my sister-in-law's copy and lost the DVD when I turned my police cruiser back in when I resigned. I really don't want to buy the whole damn thing just to replace the one disc I lost...

I tried looking it up for you to see if anyone sells just the one disk, and I couldn't find anyone. (not that they don't exist, just that I couldn't find one that does) It appears like you'll have to buy the whole season unless you get lucky.

AD was the most intelligent comedy of the past 10 years. However, it was not something you could watch "here and there" - you have to understand the characters to appreciate the depth of the humor.

I watched it live from day 1, and it took a few weeks to really get into it. Once I did, though, it was one of the few shows I looked forward to every week.

I just read some great news about Arrested Development:[URL="http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2008/06/jeffrey-tambor.html"] a big screen version is in the works![/URL]

While this isn't as good as hearing that the show is coming back on HBO or Comedy Central or something like that, it's still pretty damn cool.
