This is a talented Seahawks team in a tough environment. Here's why we should win:[LIST=1][*]We've won our last two away games, against playoff caliber opponents who were either fighting to get in or fighting for position.[*]We've won in bad weather (rain due in Seattle, but could it be worse than NY?)[*]The Seahawks are amazingly one dimensional on offense - Greg(g) Williams must be salivating.[*]Seattle is a throw-first team, and it will be run-first weather.[/LIST]
This team has gotten better results each week since the re-birth against Chicago. While past performance is no guarantee of future results (if that was the case, I'd be a millionaire and not some dumbass with a garage full of Star Trek commemorative plates), I think we have reason to be positive.

I feel good about this game. I think Clinton Portis can have a good day against the Seahawk defense. If the Redskins can run the ball effectively, they can keep Hasselbeck off the field and limit his opportunities. It's also important for the Redskins to score early to take the crowd out of the game. I think the Skins can get it done.

Seahawks get after the QB but I think Collins will only attempt 20 passes. Portis goes over 150 yards and Betts gets 100. Springs and Doughty get picks and LL knocks Engram out.

my gut feeling about this game is 50/50.but as long as we continue to play with intensity and toughness like these past 4 weeks we will be ok.

The key play of the game will be when Suisham nails a 55-yard field goal as time expires in the 1st half to give us a 10-0 lead. We open the second half with one of those 7 minute drives that culminate in a Reche Caldwell TD catch from...Clinton Portis. Seattle closes the gap with a TD and 2-point conversion late in the fourth, but their ensuing onsides kick attempt backfires as Anthony Mix scoops it up and takes it down to the 10 yard line. With no timeouts left the Seahawks are forced to watch as Collins takes a knee.

Final Score: 17-8 Redskins.

The Skins use the same formula for winning thay have used these past few weeks, Collins puts the team in position to win and the D doesnt blow it.

Sloppy defensive struggle w/a few turnovers leading to scores. Skins D bends but doesn't break giving up 4 fgs & creating 3 turnovers. Portis has a tough but effective day, about 25 for 80 & 2 tds.

Hawks will go into this game with a different game plan. TO RUN THE BALL! While we are ranked 4th against the rush this will prove to be difficult. But I have a feeling Holmgrem will view the run as a key to winning. As will we. Even though we are ranked 16th against the pass....are corner boys have been playing lights out lately.

The Seahawks will get a good dosage of Clinton Portis both in the running game and passing game. Collins stays efficient and does just enough to help us win.

The defense forces 2 turnovers. I can see Springs getting a pick-6.

we need to contain Hasselback. he's really the key. disrupt his timing...and I think we'll handle the run just fine. not worried about shaun or morris.

On O, more of the same... they have a very good LB corps, which makes me nervous, but i think if we stick to lovely mix we've used the past few games, we'll keep them on their heels and pull out the W.

on Def, i think we'll need to back off the aggressive daring them to throw mentality...matt is far to good to give 1 on 1 coverage across the board...plus their receivers are talented. we will be leaning heavily on springs and smoot again...
look for springs to have a big day against his old team..look for the skiins to get revenge on the '05 game.

Again, pain-free prediction from me this week. I think we win to the tune of 27-20. I think both offenses will score their points, even though I hope our defense can continue to dominate.

The key to winning this game is getting off to a good start. We all know that this place gets loud. In order to operate a functional O, we need to take the crowd out of the game, immediately, in the fashion of a Play Action Deep route to Santana - that should be sure to calm them down. We will need to fight for every single yard and NOT make any turnovers.

I think Collins will control the O and Fletch will hold down the D. I have really studied this game and feel that it’s going to be closer than most expect. So here goes.....

They will be driving for a final score needing a TD and will get the ball picked by Mr. Shawn Springs, game over kneel.

Blowout. It won't even be close. Two defensive scores: Andre Carter fumble recovery/return and a Fred Smoot INT/return and an unstoppable three-headed running attack from Portis, Betts and Sellers. Passing game will be adequate but not anything special except for screens and quick slants.

I don't think Matt Hasselsuck has any idea how hot our team is right now, on both sides of the ball. Our offensive and defense are punching people in the mouth on every down.

I hope the Skins come in ready to play their hearts out. They'll need to, but if they come ready, and stick it to Seattle, god help Dallas.

Qwest field is the hardest place to play in the NFL. The Seahawks are 7-1 at home. The Redskins may of lost to the Seahawks 2 years ago, but they Skins were unprepared. We are a better team this year, so the Hawks better watch out! Redskins will win!
