Talk about eerie!

To beat the Cowboys by 21 points last week to get to the playoffs.

And lose by 21 points this week.

I just got goose-bumps.

SFREDSKIN 01-05-2008 08:57 PM

Re: Talk about eerie!

I predict the Cowboys will beat the Patriots in the SB. Payback for the Cowboys will be sweet, for us Skins fans it will be tough to watch since we dislike both, but after what the Patriots did to us I will root for the Cowboys since they showed class on the ST tragedy.

It does seem that he posted it to mock us, doesn't it?

Yeah, I'm a little drunk so my sarcasm-meter is off, but if it's to talk shit, that was pretty uncalled for considering normally I respect him.

Re: Talk about eerie!

I posted a similar thing though. but as we lost by 21 that Sean was still there saying win or lose guys im still here watching.. thats the way i posted it and kind of the way i take it here.. I dont care if he was trying to mock us.. Sean was there for the win and loss and will always be there..
God Bless you Sean

It is eerie. Just because he isn't a redskins fan doesn't mean he is mocking us.

I hope he's not being sarcastic

Not at all, it was merely pointing out an ironic coincidence.

Thought you guys knew me better than that, but I guess my avatar will always be a source of wariness.

Re: Talk about eerie!

I just wish we could've won. We've had our opportunities. The main thing that hurt us was that we couldn't even get field goal in the first half.

Well I think it's because this past week you were getting into it with some people about how hard the Cowboys were really trying in the season finale. So it seemed like you were coming back now to rub in the loss.

I'd say good luck to you next week but...

jsarno 01-05-2008 10:35 PM

Re: Talk about eerie!

Well, I thought it was eerie when we won by 21, but a coincidence that we lost by 21. What would be the reasoning for losing by 21? Would that be Taylor's way of saying we can't win without him? I would hope not.

OH, ok...I thought you were talking about my post, but didn't understand how they were all connected. Gotcha now.

Re: Talk about eerie!

Ideally, there would be no problem with the post, however due to the fact that tone of voice cannot be properly translated over the net and even though he may be a great poster, he's still a Cowboys fan, I automatically assumed the worst. I apologize

Get rid of Suisham, that kicker s__cks!

I was rooding for the Skins tonight, to bad we didn't get an opportunity to play you guys for the third time this season.

See ya next year.

That must be because you are scared to play the Seahawks! That is, IF the Cowboys make it that far!

I think predictions about a Seahawks vs. Cowboys playoff game would get better and more passionate responses on message boards of your respective teams.

What did you expect me to do? AGREE with you that the Cowboys put forth their best effort in the season finale? When I honestly do not believe that to be true?

I defended my team and you defended yours, and our discussions were respectful. You cannot ask more than that from a fan forum. And isn't that one of the reasons we visit warpath.com?

Don't get too cocky cuz. In addition to the missed field goal, there were more than a few dropped passes by the Redskins receivers. If half of them are caught then the Redskins would be coming to Dallas next week.

The better team did not win yesterday.

So here is another case of you warpathers not being able to take what you dish out not a surprise. I am not saying Jack made this thread to rub it in your face either. I was going to make a thread but it would have got locked because I would have been trying to "start something."

You diehard Fans and the Skin players for that matter are going to stay fixated with the number 21, heck anyone notice a guy named Shaun killed the momentum by missing the FG. Seriously you fans are going to end up like Jim Carrey in "The number 23" movie. Think of the loss by 21 points as Sean Taylor asking to let him rest in peace. Next thing you know there will be post/threads about “this is the 21st day of the year”, “this is my 21st post” etc it will become a sick obsession.

Dude, just go to a Cowboys site. Don't get me wrong, there a few, very few fans of other teams here on the warpath. But really, why would a Cowboys fan join a site full of die hard Redskins? You're either a glutton for punishment or just hear to stir things up. Go hang out in Cancun with QB Romeo...

What the hell are you talking about? Can't take what we dish out? Seriously, why are you on this site at all? At least with jack and 5rings we can have legit discussions about football. You just seem to want to instigate all the time.

I see no reason why you shouldn't be banned quite honestly. You add nothing of value to the site.

What did I instigate now Smootsmack?

I'm giving Jack the benefit of the doubt here. I don't post a lot but I've been reading the warpath for 3 years. (I'd also be lying if I said I haven't bled burgendy right along with my boyfriend this past month.) Don't let his avatar cloud your minds. I know he's a Cowboys fan and for that reason he has different views but has he not been respectful? The #21 will always have special meaning for Redskins Fans. He wasn't being disrespectful. Win or lose, Sean is with you.

Re: Talk about eerie!

This kind of mocking (using Taylor even) should be considered a ban-able offense.

Why do we allow a Dallas troll like this to stay on the site?

SmootSmack 01-07-2008 11:35 AM

Re: Talk about eerie!

Upon further reflection, I don't think sandtrap was mocking. He can be annoying at times but I'd hardly call him a troll.

For me, it was the last comment about goosebumps that seemed a little shitty to me (as well as the timing right after the loss). Of course, I always give someone the benefit of the doubt online because you can never tell the context and you can't hear sarcasm.

Re: Talk about eerie!

I'm not all into the 21 this and 21 that stuff but i guess it is worth noting... We will have the 21st pick in the draft next year.
