Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Seems pretty inocuous.
|
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
He "ripped" Gibbs?
Where do you get that? Was it the part where he said he was a great leader and that they missed having his personality around? "Ripped", I think is quite a stretch. |
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
i found no ripping of gibbs at all.
|
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
I wouldn't say he ripped him, he was giving his honest assessment.
|
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
I don't get the ripped part. He was bragging on him as well.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
He said to see him struggle so badly over the past two years was tough.
He said it didn't work out with the Redskins and that he hoped Gibbs would stay to turn it around. That's really strange to voice that opinion about your new boss. How about sticking to racing!!! |

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Joe did turn it around, clearly. We now have more stability within this organization than ever before since Dan bough the team. And that in itself is a sucess, 2 of 4 years to the playoffs. Yea, no Super bowl but that life.
Joes work here is complete, of course we will all miss the GREAT COACH GIBBS. But I certainly don't see any reason to call that a rip at Joe from the article I read. |
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
New boss, old boss, still the boss...
Tony's just voicing his opinion about the situation. So what? No rips, just nothing but praise for the guy who gave him a chance to race stock cars when he was just a wet behind the ears open wheel driver. |
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Last I checked Stewart drives a car for a living and doesn't score touchdowns or knock out MFs for a living.
I think I care less now that he is our former coach. |

How about sticking to racing!!!
Well last year was a big struggle and this year with everying that happened Gibbs said it was his toughest year EVER coaching football. So what he said is true and Gibbs has even said so. He also had a bunch of good things to say about Gibbs so no it was not a rip. Question: I'm not big into NSCAR but is Gibbs entire team nothing but Toyota? |
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Retarded thread.
Retarded thread.
Gibbs quit and the perception from his number one driver is that he felt Joe would stay one more year to get it turned around. Its not like Joe is a stay at home now, he's running a NASCAR team. Tony Stewart is a jerk off. |

You see! Beer, it's not just for breakfast anymore..........
|
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Didn't pick up on any ripping of Joe Gibbs by Tony Stewart.
Question: I'm not big into NASCAR but is Gibbs entire team nothing but Toyota?
Joe Gibbs Racing signed a huge deal with Toyota for the start of this season. Plus is that JGR is now the big dog for a manufacturer (always playing 3rd fiddle to Hendrick and Childress). Minus is that it's not an American manufacturer...at least most fans will see it that way. |

How can you not see anything odd about his comments about Gibbs and the Redskins? Go read it again I'm telling you he's passing negative judgement over Gibbs for not coming back one more year. So am I. |

Ok. Most of the people who have posted agree with you. |
Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
I, like others just don't get the rip part. From reading the article I was left with the impression the team was happy he was back in the building. If anything, it was a compliment, and demonstrates what a true leader of men he really is.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Speaking of Gibbs-ripping, what's been Brian Mitchell's "opinion" on Gibbs' departure? In in NYC, and 980 won't download on my Mac. thx.

Hahahahahaha. South Park is funny. Ever see that episode where they are making fun of Japanese animation......the theme song while they fight in character is a classic.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
i read that on another site ,thatsracin.com and i didn,t get the idea he was ripping gibbs at all he was just stating that he had a tough run with it so he undertood why joe would go back to his operation i charlotte to be with his family.
i thought it was tony just stating he is glad to see coach around the shop and the track again. |

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
I can see why you think he's ripping Gibbs, but I feel like you might be reading too much into it.

You're a professional at work. Your old boss left to do something else. Now he's back and you publicly show surprise that he didn't stay where he was for one more year to turn it around at the old gig. Just a little out there if you ask me. All the while you praise him for leading and bullshit I don't think he was sincere at all. |

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Joe Gibbs has wrinkly old balls and he's the worst charades partner I've ever had. He's not a good driver, and sometimes he has bad breath. As a matter of fact, if Joe was a woman I wouldn't find him attractive at all.
I'd say he ripped him a new one... |
