It sounds to me that the media is backing off this Fassel [B][I]RUMOR[/I][/B] a little! I dont know if we are any closer to finding a coach.

He will be our coach, but I don't like it. Fassel was supposed to be our coach back in '04 but Gibbs returned. The only thing left is to get Fassel's assistants on board first (Zorn and Ryan). Once that gets ironed out Snyder will introduce him as our coach. Sorry Guys, but it is going to happen!!!!

Yeah but Williams would keep personel the same and be in control. Zorn's from what I read is a legend to Seahawks fans and a tough ex-player. If you think about Seahawks sucess its always been good QB play and airing it out with a great tailback. If Campbell can't learn as a pro he's not that good anyway. Stop whinning about systems and use taht rocket arm more!

Fassel was fired as HC of the Giants (albiet one SB appearance), he was fired as QB coach, and then in Baltimore he was fired IN MID-SEASON as the Ravens play caller.

That just does not sound like a "resounding resume'" to me.

Have not heard Schwartz name lately but if he interviewed and with Williams as head man and ties to Tenn.?? Maybe he knew this be a process with many interviews but he's confident he's the man. Gibbs is behind him and no matter what anyone says Williams getting the snub is a major move that I just can't see after all they had been through in 07'.

Their backing of the Zor/Rex Ryan talk now, saying neither will come here. Seattle said they would match. Rex Ryan can't make a latteral move...Ravens would block it.

Who knows what's going to happen. I could see Snyder sitting back, chuckling with Cerrato about this whole thing...killing puppies and smoking cigars.

Williams should be the head coach. That goes without saying. But it is absolutely ridiculous for them to not keep Saunders on as well. Even if he wouldn't be Williams' choice (which I've heard) Snyder should insist.

You don't bring in one of the best playcallers in the game and then fire him after 2 seasons. I think down the stretch of this past season we all saw what our offense could look like with a QB that's studied it for years, a healthy group of receivers, and Al calling the plays with autonomy. Look at Al's KC statistics. His offense wasn't #1 overnight. Over the course of 4 or 5 seasons it steadily rose from bottom of the pack to middle of the pack to top 10 to top 5 to # 2 and #1 in his last two years there.

I think it's an idiotic move. I honestly believe we could get to the superbowl in the next year or two if we keep this group together, offense AND defense. Look at what the Giants did this year. Didn't we stomp them a month ago?

Rumors that Snyder and Vinny don't really want Al. I hear what you're saying though. Look, Saunders Offense is famous around the NFL for how complex it is. Takes so long to learn. Don't think Zorn is a dummy, he say film and coached against us last year. He would adapt his style for who we have and enhance the passing game. Look how hard they're trying to keep Zorn, that should tell us something, Snyder open those pockets and get your man!

Yea, that's the thing, i'm sure JF is a decent football coach, and a good guy. He's not in the running for any other coord. job in the NFL b/c he can't get one. Other teams interest in him is nonexistent.

It's just not a good hire. We can do better IMO.

WTF has Jim Zorn done??? Saunders has more of a coaching resume that Zorn does. The guy had a top 5 offense every year he was in KC w/ shitty Wr's. Let Al do his thing w/out Joe lurking over his shoulder.

And your coach is 0 and 4 in the playoffs and by his own words was the better team that lost his last playoff game. Admitting that he had a better team and lost at home after a two week rest after such a great year is some how better. OK!
