Super Bowl predictions

The Giants magic ride ends in Arizona. I hope it's a good game at least, but I'm feeling a blowout. Give Belichick two weeks to prepare and I think he's going to have some crazy stuff to throw at Manning. Eli will break down and toss at least 2 picks. The game will be close for a while but the Patriots will pull away in the 2nd half.

Final score: Patriots 41 Giants 20

Re: Super Bowl predictions

After the Championship games I really thought that the g-men had a good chance in this one but now I'm starting to think that the bye week killed all their momentum. Plus, the pats have had a chance to rest up and game plan even more than normal.

I'll say the score will be something like 14-6 going into the half, but then will end up more lopsided once the pats start doing their thing. 31-16 final score with Vrabel as the MVP.

(I don't think I've ever been close with any game prediction in the past, so that will probably stand)

Re: Super Bowl predictions

I think it will come down to if the Giants can put some preasure on Brady to start the game. If they can knock him around some and get him off or make the ankle hurt a little more then they can keep it close. If this fails we know what Brady can do.
27 pats
24 giants

The poll we need after the SB is how many game that the Pats can win in a row.

After the beatdown we took at the hands of those patriots nothing would please me more than to see the giants pull off the upset of the year but I think thats wishful thinking...pats 38 gmen 31.....close game but pats pull it out in the end.

Pats are going to win and they're going to win big.

But wouldn't it be a bitch that after a great run like this, shit just falls apart next year and they don't make the playoffs? I mean if you go 19-0, you're expected to follow up big the next year, I would think.

Let's just say.. They get riddled with injuries next season... Tom Brady's head falls off or some shit. And they go.. Lets say 6-10.. 9-7 at best. Could you still consider a team that went 19-0 and then the next year stank it up, a great team? Seems like a flash in the pan to me.

(Yes this is all speculation and crazy speculation but anything could happen)

Re: Super Bowl predictions

Id say that once this team goes 19-0 and wins its 4th superbowl I would definitely not call them a flash in the pan. Even if next season they go 1-15 it won't matter. The 2007-08 Patriots will be the greatest team in history.

To bad someome didnt make up one of those 10x10 square style superbowl sheet. Maybe next season someone could get on it earlier. Maybe use paypal or something and then sell each square for $5 and then give $200 of the $500 to the site and then $75 per quarter on anyone with the matching last digit. Those numbers could always change, just a suggestion. I know Id buy a square or 2 for $5.

Im only watching the game to drink. Everytime we hear Brady or Bellechuck we drink. We'll be drunk by the end of the first quarter. I hate both these teams, and i hope they some how tie.

Pats 45
Giant(one)s 10

All I have left to say is it is 10-0 after the first quarter. First play after that results in a TD. I think Brady to Welker.

Re: Super Bowl predictions

1st Qtr:
Junior Seau gets the Patriots on the scoreboard first with a safety early in the 1st quarter. An Asante Samuel TD leads to a quick TD pass to Welker and the Pats jump to a 9-0 lead. Giants hit a field goal at the end of the quarter. Score is 9-3 at the end of the 1st quarter

2nd Quarter:
Giants pull closer with another field goal to make it 9-6. Patriots get angry and respond by slicing and dicing the Giants D for a 90 yard drive that results in a TD pass to Mike Vrabel (from Randy Moss). Manning throws an INT in the end zone at the end of the first half. Patriots go into the locker room leading 16-6 at the half

3rd Quarter:
Giants get the ball first after halftime and strike quick. 45 yard bomb to Plax on the first play of the 2nd half is the key play in an 80 yard drive that culminates with a 1 yard TD run by Brandon Jacobs. Giants fail two point conversion. Patriots close quarter with a field goal. Score at the end of three quarters-16-12 Patriots.

4th Quarter:
Both defenses step it up as the quarter progresses. Giants catch a break on a questionable fumble call and a Manning to Boss TD gives the Giants their first lead 19-16 with 6 minutes left in the game. Patriots tie the game quickly with a field goal. Giants get the ball with a little under 1 minute left and fail to do anything. 19-19 as we go into Overtime

OT:
Giants win the toss, first play of OT screen pass to Ahmad Bradshaw and he busts free 75 yards for the TD. Giants win the Super Bowl 25-19

(either that or 34-20 Patriots :) )
