5 Months Out. What do you expect from Madden '09?
 

All,
It's about the time that the net starts lining up with Madden wishlists. What do you want to see from this years Madden?

I'm looking for:
- Ability to Challenge a call in an on-line game.
- I would like to see a player with a broken arm, grab his arm. I want
more in depth injuries, and more injuries away from the play.
- I think the offseason mode needs to be re-structured. They did a pretty
Good job this year, but keep going with it. More info on people in the
draft etc.
- I want the ability to try and offer a bigger contract to someone that
wants to retire. Let me throw some money at them.
- I want more hits!!!! Different types of truck-sticks. Did a great job
with the hi/low stick, but give me a couple different animations when
get hit.

Better coach animation, if something goes good they should be running around screaming, and if something goes wrong they look pissed and call over the player, and if a player is seriously hurt they should bring out that cart thing.

a pre-game show, halftime show with highlights and a post game show with highlights and interviews

Madden '08 is already out, the next one that comes out in August will be '09.

-The ability to draft good players at every position in the offseason for franchise mode.
-The ability for o-lineman on your team to progress in franchise.
-The ability to change player's positions on the roster, not just the depth chart.
-Online franchise

I know I have more I'm just too lazy to think right now.

Wow.....not asking much huh? That would be tight though. I'm tired of getting the same crap over and over though. They really need to put some work in this years game.

Honestly, I want some more simplicity. I'm really starting to get irritated with Madden, I have it on PS3 and its like freaking rocket science to do anything in it. I loved it like 3-4 years ago, where the graphics were awsome, you had some cool options to play, but it was not impossible to do. Its almost gotten to be too much, if you ask me.

More realistic contract "negotiations" with rookies. I'm tired of trading down the second round, drafting a solid prospect, and then watching that 2nd rounder demand some crazy contract.

More realistic trades. Madden overvalues old players and undervalues younger rising stars.

I want to be able to create a playbook I can use in franchise mode.

I want the franchise mode to work. Does anybody actually even test this game that makes millions of dollars? This year a large number of people had trouble with the franchise mode freezing, mostly because the cpu teams dont sign free agents.

I know, what's up with that, in the preseason they just don't sign anybody and you cant go to the next week until they do.

Abilty to challenge calls in Superstar mode (at least try to pursuade the coach to challenge).

Remove the wierd camera angles you get in Superstar mode.

Minimum requirements for positions and Maximum number of players on the roster should be suspended during offseason. If I want to make trades or work out a few extra guys to see who I like better on my squad, I should be able to. Taking cap hits for releasing guys that didn't make your roster is stupid.

Impliment the Rookie Cap pool.

some players is missing in the FA poole after years of playing franchise mode. this needs to improve. also its time for the online league

Replays and challenges in online play would be nice. I especially miss the replays.

The thing is Madden is a football sim, if they simplified things too much I guarantee the hardcore players would revolt.

Unless Madden comes with a new car this year I am saving my sixty bucks. To me it is a waste. Nothing really ever changes and it is the same ho hum game.

They should add features where you can do horse collar, or hit them out of bounds, I wouldn't mind knocking a player out of a game that had a lot of yards on me.

I really didn't like Blitz all that much. The CPU always found ways to make huge comeback wins and your skilled position players always get caught from behind.

One of, if not THE best game of the year. Simply fantastic. Call of Duty 4 as a good game too.

The only problems with the new shooter games are that you beat them so fast, and I can only get into on-line HALO3. Nothing else has really given me the excitment HALO has.
