Below are pictures from the final auditions for the 2008-09 Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. Tuesday night marked the final round of auditions for this year's squad. The 51 finalists competed in evening gown, cheer line and swimsuit competitions, while judges were faced with the task of selecting the final 40. You'll see shots from each of the competitions, fans in attendance and, of course, the survivors. Enjoy!

Wait a minuite, my wife said that she got a job marketing the Redskins, not marketing herself for Redskins fans. I should have put 2 and 2 together. New bathing suits and skimpy, black and pink jersey's. Damn!!!!!!!

They aren't strippers, dude. Despite what you may see in the attire, they've very professional, talented women. They do a lot of charity and community work, and travel overseas to perform for our troops. They are FAR from strippers.

Hi everyone, my first post. I'm a Londoner born and bred and know nothing about American Football, but I'm suddenly taking an interest thanks to your First Ladies of Football who have been hijacking serious TV news shows over here by promoting cricket! I've lost count of how many times I've seen them and they've really got under my skin. They are an amazing ad for all things American. I was hoping to post a screen grab from their performance in Bangalore, India, but as a new member I'm not allowed to yet.

Strippers??? I thought they all had to be pillars of the community to get picked! The roster page at redskins.com makes them out to be accountants and teachers.

Still, at least if they were strippers we could all get to see them without their uniforms. I think I would let them keep their boots on.
