Kareem Moore Scouting Report - 2008 NFL Draft Prospect
JLC has mentioned that we have met with him, and that we're going to look to draft him in rounds 5-7. He is a small school guy from Nicholls St. and he seems like a real intriguing prospect for us at safety. I was wondering if anyone has any good information on this kid. |
Re: Kareem Moore
No offense but who cares, the team threw the draft. Dan Snyders going to have to learn the hard way that you don't win with the passing game. Sorry man, not towards you it's just right now I don't really care, and I'm kind of pissed that I put so much faith into the braintrust of my favorite team.

so how do you really feel about Dan Snyder.... ;) and how can you really say that Snyder thinks we win through the passing game... Almost everyone of our top picks have been defense since Snyder was here. Our defense has been top ten most of the last five years. our offense has sucked so he kept a dcoach, and brought in an offensive mind to revamp the offense. |
Re: Kareem Moore
can everybody take the time to realize that we have only been through 2 rounds of the draft so far. No need to panic (until tomorrow lol)

How exactly did the team throw the draft? They addressed what they feel are primary needs for the team to run the WCO effectively and I agree with all moves after thinking about them and what they can mean to this team, we will be very dangerous IMO. Furthermore, the draft is only 1/3 complete for the Skins, we still have a busy day tomorrow with 6 players to pick on day 2. I think your jumping the gun just a bit to quick and by the way. For what it's worth, Mel Kiper just listed Washington as a Day One "Winner" |
Re: Kareem Moore
Psst, Dirtbag -- don't look now, but the most successful teams now days are typically pass first.
Dallas, GB, NE, Colts, etc. It's important to have balance, you need to run and throw, but our anemic passing game the past few years is a big reason why our running game has been so bad. Plus, running certainly hasn't won a super bowl for us lately. The draft is far from over. I'm not a big fan of the Fred Davis pick, but the two WRs are good picks, all 3 picks had amazing value. |
Re: Kareem Moore
I like fred davis, but don't feel like we addressed a need, and still look at a few running backs that will be steals as second day picks... along with ali highsmith who should go quickly tomorrow.
|
Re: Kareem Moore
Seriously? You think RB is a bigger need than TE? Neither is a particular need. But christ, Portis, Betts, Cartwright, and Marcus Mason on the PS. We have FAR too many RBs.

My two biggest fears right now as a Redskin fan is loosing Cooley or Samuals to injury. I just don't know why they want to wait so long to adress the line. I mean it's not like they have a track record of finding good offensive lineman in the 4th 5th and 6th rounds. Also I think that with the way things are going they'll take Josh Johnson with one of their next two picks. After that they'll hopefully take an O-Lineman and then they'll draft Marcus Dixon in the 6th round. 7th round we'll probably see a corner and maybe the Safety Kareem Moore. Anyway I know the drafts not over but still I don't like the idea of drafting 3 pass catchers. Though it will be fun to see them sub guys in and out to create mismatches. |
Re: Kareem Moore
Fred Davis may not have been an extreme need but it was surely a good value pick. when u look at like we coulda drafted Thomas in the first round, its almost like he was a free pick... and we cant seriously expect Yoder to be the primary backup for Cooley. And im sure im not the only person who is sick of seeing us resign..Kolo...
Im kool with the pick, even if I was hoping for some help on either line. |
so how do you really feel about Dan Snyder.... ;)

bigger need is not the issue as much as biggest impact. I do think that fresh fast evasive legs could be a great thing for us. I'm not in love with Betts, especially with his knack for fumbling. I love CP, and he's been my fav. rb in the league since he was drafted, but it may be nice to have a young stud waiting in the wings... Baltimore drafted Ray Rice while making a big trade for McGahee only last year... I'd like to see us pick up some DL help... I think that's the most pressing need. |

If the line was younger and we had some good up and comers as back ups I would say go get a TE and 2 WR's. But you saw what happen when the right side of your line goes down in o7 and then you have a hurting LG[bad knees] and your center is out for a few games! |

Good Job vinny and Jim. hail to the skins. |

you suck, name any OL on the time of our pick that can supplant what we have in the line right now. all of the best OL is gone, we can address a stephen heyer tomorrow you idiot |

Woah that's way way uncalled for. Apologize or take the next couple of weeks off |
Re: Kareem Moore
I think ppl quickly forget how we scrambled to get oldhead WRs last year when Moss and ARE went down. I think we've added lots of depth to our receiving corps in the event of an injury. Plus I really hope Kelly and Thomas play with a chip on their shoulders and prove that they are truly first round talents.

Also a nice C or G in M.Pollak. There is hope in sundays draft with the likes of J.Greco or C.Nicks but picking in the late 3rd round could be too late. Pluse A QB maybe picked with that 3rd or 4th!

good luck on them tomorrow.......hope that we pick up diamonds in the rough...especially at both sides of the line and CB |
Re: Kareem Moore
Wow! I am glad my thread sparked quite a debate, albeit not about the original topic of the thread, but interesting nonetheless.

Lol, thats on me. Sorry, anyway it looks like they'll take him in the 7th, seeing as Scouts Inc gave him a grade of 20, but then again DraftCountdown thought highly of hm. |

No Problem, I enjoyed it. |
Re: Kareem Moore
Just allow your self to imagine/dream for a moment teams will be so concerned with us passing the ball now CP will run wild vice versa ( I WAS SHOCKED BY THE PICKS AT FIRST BUT NOW I LIKE THEM IT'S ABOUT TIME WE WENT OF)

They kind of grow on you and they're not even bad picks. I'm actually a lot happier now especially since so many guys with second and early third round grades are dropping. Oh did anyone see the Skins traded their fourth for a fourt and a fifth from the Falcons? |
Re: Kareem Moore
I think Kareem Moore will be a great asset to the Skins. I followed him during his college years at Nicholls State. He is the cousin of Tim Bowens who was DT for Miami Dolphins. I'm glad we picked him up. I wish him well!

I usually like and respect your posts dirtbag, but I can't get on board with these comments. I do wish we could have addressed other issues as well, but overall this is one of the best drafts we've had in a loooooong time. I think once you get to see some of these guys, and once the overall "plan" by Zorn is presented to us, then you'll feel differently. You have to remember, not all draft picks will succeed, we have some top notch talent from this draft, and something we will build on for quite a few years. |

Keep in mind this is a new era for the Skins with the WCO, just as it is for Zorn as coach of the Skins. Sure they sledgehammered our receiving needs over the head but all these guys are young new Redskins and I'm not about to start bashing them or the draft decisions until I see what they do with them. |

If you only draft for need you'll end up taking a guy that's not highly regarded. Let's take Calais Campbell for example. Even though he's still on the board when we drafted TE Fred Davis, you have to trust that our coaches and scouts were pretty sure that his value wasn't good or as good at that point in the draft. What that really means is yes, we need DL help but, we can't draft Calais Campbell this high because we've checked him out thouroughly and feel that he doesn't have the tools to be drafted at this point. Later? Yes. Now? No. You see all the time how the best teams (teams who are better building through the draft) draft guys who seem to be reaches but actually fit well into what a team does.
As far as Moore goes. He's projects to be as good as Vernon Fox with some upside. |

i see that you want to know information on Kareem. He is my cousin's fiancee and they have a child together. He is fron Okalona,MS which is about 30 to 45 minutes where my family is from (senatobia, ms). He's a cool clean cut guy and gets alone with everyone. If you met him you would enjoy him. He and my cousin have been engaged for about a year and a half and have a 2 year old son. But, im not one of the phony's that think they know everyone, but this is true... I live in Memphis, TN. I don't really know college football, so I've got a lot of questions about all these guys. Is the claim he could push for the starting job a compliment to him or a criticism for Doughty?
