Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Personally, I prefer the "Other Budweiser" anyway. If you get a chance to taste it, you will not be disappointed.

remember, keep americans working. buy american :)

Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
American beer is terrible. Rolling Rock and Sam Adams are the only two exceptions I can think of (This statement excludes the smaller breweries. Im talking about the big boys.)

Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
If you like piss Budweiser is for you.

Anheuser-Busch bought Rolling Rock in 06 and it hasn't been the same since they moved operations from Latrobe to New Jersey. But Sam Adams is a great American beer. Once the sale to InBev goes through, all of the Big 3 US Breweries (Coors, Miller, Anheuser-Busch) will be owned by foreign companies (MolsonCoors, SABMiller, InBev). So if you want to buy American, you'll have to go down to the MicroBrew or Craftbrew level...which isn't a bad thing. |

Most of the widely distributed American Beers kinda suck anyway, the sale of Bud doesn't change anything, IMO. I've never liked it. If I'm looking to get a beer that I enjoy drinking it's usually a microbrew. I also agree about Rolling Rock |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Bud drinkers only drink Bud they are very loyal to that beer. I think yo ueither hate it or love it.
Personally I hate it. Though I have started to like Bud Light w/ Lime after cutting the grass on a hot day. Over the winter I was drinking Yuengling, I seriously gained ten pounds due to this. I have now gone back to Coors Light and lost the weight. |

I like them both. Miller Lite is good though, and has a legit claim to quality. They've won some awards with that beer. |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Any one every try Yuengling Light? I might get that next time.

Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
I have to say, in most cases, I'm drinking really just to get drunk and Bud Light does the job just fine. :)

I won't drink Bud Light because I think it tastes like natural light. I dont consider myself a beer snob though because I drink Miller Light by the truckload. |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
I tend to float towards a Bud Light or Miller Lite when drinking a light beer. As mredskins said, definitely a light beer is good after cutting the grass on a hot day. I did try the Bud Light w/ Lime not too long ago...can't say that I like it.
I thought Yuengling Light was terrible...and while Yuengling is ok, I'm not a big fan. |

Natural Light flows through my veins. So does Milwaukee's Best Light and Coors Light...and Bud Light...and Miller Light...oh, and Michelob Ultra...and Guinness, of course. |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Hrm, that explains why I've slowly stopped buying Rolling Rock. I was never a huge fan, I like to mix beer up and get something different every time. It used to have a way different flavor -- I thought maybe the ones you drink on the JMU drunk bus just tasted great!

Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
There was a local bar here in Frederick that used to have $2 22oz Rolling Rock Bottles on Thursday nights...so we used to go and buy those because Rolling Rock was a decent beer and $2 for virtually 2 beers was a good bargain. Once A-B bought RR, the 22oz bottles were phased out, and I tried RR just one time after they moved production to New Jersey and it wasn't the same. I'm guessing it has to do with the water used...but who knows.

Didn't you get the memo? America is on sale and for sale! |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Keystone Light for me. I used to drink Coors Light but with the price going up every year l switched to that. 12.99 is what I pay for it most of the time plus i get 6 more free since it is a 30 pack. Took me a few beers to get used to it but it is not that bad.

Becks, Augustiner Weissbier and Guinness. Can't go wrong with those...

That's their loss, the NFL will fill those spots without any trouble. I will say this though, Budweiser SB commercials are always entertaining. |

I love Microbrews for their taste, but they're pricey and I actually like Miller Lite too. Never cared much for Bud Light. |

Excellent taste. Have you ever tried Warsteiner? |

I have. It's not bad, but I still prefer Augustiner for a wheat beer. I've been almost exclusively Guinness here for the last few months. |
Re: Budweiser, Your Belgian Beer.
Word is they may seriously cut back on Super Bowl commercials for Budweiser and Bud Light.
I feel like over the last few days I've noticed (and noticed may be the key word here) more Budweiser commercials than before. And of the spots that I've been noticing more they are the one's that talk about the "proud history" or "the American beer."
I feel like they're really trying to ram the fact that this is still the same beer your grandfather drank after a long day down our throats in order to keep up their brand loyalty. Then again, maybe the number of these ads hasn't increased and I'm just noticing them because I recently read about the sale. Or maybe, I'm paying more attention because the alcohol demons in my head are gaining more control. How knows? |
