Stupid Commercials......
 

Has anybody else seen the dumb Easterns Automotive commercials featuring Carmelo Anthony, LaVar Arrington, Clinton Portis, Laveranues Coles, and others? The song was stupid enough, now they've got the athletes making fools of themselves by doing a poor job of lipsinking and looking goofy. It's strange to see all these big name stars in such a poorly done commercial. Just interested to see what others who have seen the commercials think.

yea Portis obvioulsy is reading from a screen during teh commerical, not smooth at all.

As much as I hate the song they have on the radio commercial...it has kinda grown on me. [I]At eastern motors, your jobs your credit....fords, hondas, chevy's, beemers, and minivans[/I] :laughing-

Listen to that song and imagine the people I listed up there lipsinking and bopping their head along with the beat, while sitting still in a car.

It's just so cheesy.

The commercial is so poor. The qualities takes me back to the 70's! I wasn't alive then, but I've seen reruns. It's absolutely horrible.

lol...they are using the "sexy lady riddim." Any company that has "your job is your credit" in it's advertisement isn't worth buying from.

-most sports stars aren't great tv actors though, thats not their job... mcnabb and ray-ray do alright though ;)

as a counter example, remember those ramsey papjohn's commercials during the pregames last year? he was stiff as a board and just as exciting... it was almost as much fun as watching lavar on that stupid espn trivia game (which was so awesome/annoying that i can't even remember its name).

i love that NFL commercial and i think Flea Flicker would be an AWESOME name for a football band.

i also love the commercial with Portis and co. supporting their fantasy teams. then Peyton Manning holding up that gumball machine trophy saying thats what he plays for. funny stuff, he's a real good sport.

lets just work on the music.

My favorite NFL commercial is the Eddie George one with the slackers in the background beating each other.

definitly a paycheck to do the commercial.

I liked the ones last year better, like the all kickers team, heh.

Remember the Madden commercial (I think it was Madden) with Ray Lewis and Warren Sapp yelling into the mirror to 'psyche themselves up' ?

Eww, that one made me cringe everytime I saw it. It didn't take long for them to pull that commercial.

That one is pretty funny, too. Especially the part when they start hitting each other with rakes.

I'm sure you've seen the Levitra where the woman talks about the "quality response" her man gets from Levitra.

I have a friend who said that if his wife was as smokin' hot at the chick in the commercial and he still needed Levitra, he'd probably also need the EMTs to discharge those paddles across his chest cavity.

lol, I didn't really think that girl was hot. She was weird looking if you ask me. I wish I could find the Easterns video.
