I personally don't have a problem with him. I just know a lot of people freaked over the botched hold and the shanked punt.

Yup. The ball was a little high, but it hit him right in the hands, he couldn't catch it, and it went out the back of the endzone.

The point is Brooks cost us three points, and gave the Saints 7 points. That's a ten point swing from a punter and nobody here can argue differently because that's a fact.

Randle El gave the saints seven points on his punt catch fumble.

We went for 5 FG's on our first 5 redzone appearences, so calm down. He's a rookie and he will learn. No one is saying he's perfect.

just a bad game. frost had plenty of those... punting to bush (whoever made that call) shouldn't have happened.

we saw he can do better in preseason, so we just need to let him work it out. ARE looked bad on returns too - but that's been going on for quite a while and i think we should try thrash or betts instead.

im with you, the kid will get better...screw all of you people that are negative. These are real people out there, athletes that as a FAN of the team you are supposed to give your support and understandting to. Lets be a little more positive and look at it as we have a great great young talent at punter who will one day be among the best in the league.

The point is that Frost out kick him in preseason but some how Brooks won the jod, Thats my problem, and Frost has goten better each season.

I guess you could post stats that show I'm Wrong. It really does not matter at this point because 1) we won 2) he was signed. I just hope he improves and it does not cost us a game while waiting.

They drafted Brooks so as long as he didn't fall on his face he was going to get the job all along.

I'll cut him some slack though. He's talented. He'll be ok I think. He just had a bad game.

This is exhibit A why you don't draft an effing punter. While Brooks is learning on the job, our special teams suffer. Brooks is leading the NFL in sucking at punting, last in punting avg (36.8) and last in net (28.3). So we suffer through Frost and just as he's turned the corner we have to suffer through Brooks? Great.

if by frost turned the corner, you mean, he just gave up a safety as he let a ball that hit him in the hands bounce out of the endzone....
