Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Horton played great and JC was a beast but I have to give the game ball to Coach Jim Zorn he was under a lot of pressure as a play caller and not having a two minute offense last week. He had balls to go for it 4th & 2 at the end of the game. He showed much improvement and maturity as a head coach. I'm happy for him and I hope he enjoys it tonight and get back at it tomorrow to game plan for the Cards.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Yupp Zorn, maybe JC for shutting up the haters and the media.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Jim Zorn. Going for it on 4th down at the end was playing to win, not playing to try to hold on. Congrats Coach on the first of many W's!
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I would say balls. Zorn, Horton, JC, Moss, Portis, OL, JT.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Horton...he was in position all game long. Lets hope a new star is born!
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
zorn, jc, portis/runblocking, moss, cooley, horton, defense...
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Moss by a longshot. He steeped up and made plays when he needed to today.
Hail! |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Horton get's the game ball, so many time are DB's have chances to make interceptions and don't.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Horton, Moss, JC, Zorn.. In that order.
(Zorn last only because he is still messing up clock management in the 2 minute offense.. But hopefully that gets worked out) |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Horton. Rookine comes in and makes an impact in his first game i love that. I also give one to JC
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Jason Campbell. Just on this board people were researching his Wonderlic scores, wondering if he'd ever grasp this offense, and pointing out he lost 5 of his last 6 starts. He came out confident, led the team back from a 9 pt deficit in the 4th, and threw the game winning TD on a gorgeous bomb to Moss. He didn't look capable, he looked goood!!!
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC. He was under pressure from the Media and the Fans, he stepped it up and won a winable game.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
horton,JC,moss,zorn,& laron landry.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I'd like to say D-Line, but pick one and I'll say Jason Taylor. Did anyone notice how they were chipping Carter but not Taylor and he kept making them pay?
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC took a big monkey off his back today. He gets my vote, with honorable mentions to the OL and Moss.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
It's funny... I was looking for Zorn among the choices. Gotta give the guy credit. That 4th and 2 call was downright sexy. Not only did it seal the game, put it showed the players how confident JZ is with these players. He put the game in their hands.... and it paid dividends.
Other than Zorn, I chose the offensive line. Without the success of the o-line NOTHING happens on offense. We were able to establish timing, gain confidence, and provide JC with the opportunity to execute this offense. Our season depends on our o-line showing up, and they certainly did today. |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC by far. hope this shuts up all the haters. Moss and portis get honorable mention. Horton was a pleasant suprise.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC for me.. He did everything today his detractors said he can't do, made big plays all day, did NOTHING to hurt the team (0 INT so far) and made the big play to win the game. Horton was in the right places all day and the OL played strong.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Campbell, but it was a great all around team effort and I like that kind of football. I told you we would expose the saints offense. NFC East is a damn physical division.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I would be hesitant to give it to one player. Many are deserving of it.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Which is great. We'd of been hard pressed to find one last week other than Portis's block.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Cooley had some crucial 3rd down catches. But overall Im gonna have to give this one to JC. He really stepped up in 4th and led his team to a victory. Very impressive.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
horton. rookie 7th round pick thrown into a starting role and he delivered huge. he was always around the ball, had 2 big interceptions and 1 recovered fumble. others played well but horton gets my vote. he played far and beyond what anyone expected

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
This was tough, but give it to the rookie. He made three HUGE plays for us that changed the tide of the game.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
On offense I give it to JC. His confidence was there and should grow from this and he simply made plays for us today. The o-line gets a noticeable nod for their quality effort all around.
On defense, while Horton had the biggest impact plays I think Landry actually played a hell of a game. He was lockdown in centerfield and had a lot of the "unnoticed" plays. Plus the recovery and tip on that bomb was just huge. Great safety play for us today from both guys. |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Well to give it to anybody but Horton is crazy. JC played a good game but our D kept us in the game with the three turn overs by Horton. I was very happy to see how JC played today but we did leave too many points on the taple. If the D did not step up thats a loss for us and the 3 turn overs won the game.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Jason Campbell deserves game ball. Last week I was doubting his ability to lead this team and make reads and succeed as the starting QB of the Redskins. Today Jason Campbell stepped up, grew up and won the game for the Redskins. His audible call to Moss proved his ability to make decisions and make the big play. Hopefully this will give him the confidence to just go play football and be decisive when it's time to be decisive.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Campbell was pretty damn awesome, but I gotta give it to Horton. Anyone (especially a 7th round rookie in his first start) who swings three turnovers in our favor deserves the gameball no doubt.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Offensive Line. What a dominant performance from a unit that needed one like no other.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Went with MOSS!!!!! Horton was a close second.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Its gotta be the O line as they paved the way for the running game to get going which allowed JC the opportunity to complete some big passes.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
and after a day of thinking, give one to joe bugel.with all the stuff he has been through,to coach at the level he has done is amazing!
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
horton/zorn get my game ball from yesterday..a great team win in the second half..moss wasn,t too shabby either.

Oline determined the game, if you get more than 5 seconds then any QB looks amazing. |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC gets it hands down. He made some big time plays today. We were backed up 2-20 down by 9 and he ripped one off to Cooley and after that he just got in the zone it seemed. Then the pass to Moss was just a thing of beauty. You could almost see his confidence growing out there.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I voted for JC because I was moments away from a floggin.
While Horton had a big game as well, JC found a way to make plays while plays seemed to find Horton. |
I would be hesitant to give it to one player. Many are deserving of it.
I'm with you, it's tough to pick just one. Campbell, Moss, Portis, the O-line, most of the defense, ESPECIALLY Horton, Coach Zorn made a HUGE improvement over week 1... Let's just give it to Chief Zee. |
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Campbell gets it for the clutch pass to Cooley; go ahead TD to Moss; and game clincher to Moss.
|
Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I would give a game ball to three people.
Firstly, Jim Zorn. For getting his first win as a head coach and not crumbling when we were down 24-15. He showed a lot of improvement over his first game last week and he also showed trust in JC. Secondly, Jason Campbell. What a great rebound performance from week 1, and he also stepped up and made plays when it mattered. He didn't get down when we were down 24-15 and he looked good. Thirdly, Chris Horton. A 7th round rookie safety starting in place of a vet, and he ends up with 2 picks and a fumble recovery. He had a great day for the most part and for a guy that wasn't exactly expected to make the team it was a great start for him. Oh and I'd also like to give a little props to HB Blades. He started in place of M.W. and he had a solid day all around, especially in stopping the run game. |
