JC is not what I thought part two
Dear Jason,
Thank you for absolutely bitch slapping me over the last three weeks. This is what happens when you drink too much and Gtripp has to talk you down from the edge. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
My pleasure :D
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
jc is what i thought i all a long
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
Hahaha! Props for this thread. I wasn't so sure for a while but JC can run this offense.
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
He's even better than I thought he would be at this point.
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I think Jim Zorn deserves a raise for the devolpment he is getting from JC
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I take my hat off to him, he suddenly looks like an NFL QB.
The past 2 weeks he was good but to do it on the road in a hostile environment against a good defence was very impressive indeed. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
This is how we all hoped he would perform! He has made excellent strides in his progression...I am very impressed.
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
This board is way too predictable. We win and Campbell is a god, we lose and he is a bust.

Props to Wilso. :) And good job realizing JC is the real deal. (I doubted for a little while too. :D) |

get it right...3 wins in a row. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
Way to man up. No doubt you're not the only one to have doubts about JC. Glad for ALL of us he's proving you wrong. It's going to be up and down still. But there is no doubt about progress in all the crucial areas, especially WINS!!!!
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
JC is playing great, I had my doubts too. We finally got us a quarterback!!

Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I thought he'd be good in the latter half of the season. I NEVER would have guessed that he'd have a QB rating of over 100 in the first 4 weeks.

I think most of us would agree with your opinion. Damn its good to see this sort of consistant performance....Soooo, cool |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I take back my comments about Brenan Being the future.....The future appears to be here That offense moved up the field like crazy today! Brady WHO?!?
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I am still not 100% sold on Campbell, but if he keeps playing like this he will go down as a hall of famer. He has been unbelievable.

Dude, be real... he did NOT look like an NFL QB last year or the year before. The man has made a HUGE leap forward. I don't know if it was tough love by Zorn, or knowing it was now do or die, but he turned a corner, and much faster than anyone expected. It truly is amazing... and I'm going to give props to Zorn. However, this speaks to JC's character and how has can overcome criticism. I'm VERY impressed. |

Jesus, what else does he have to do to convince you, play the f'ing game blindfolded? |

I know one man that didn't expect it.. COLLINS. I am sure he thought he would see the Jason of old when he signed on this past year. He's not the only one that is shocked. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
If he can play at even 80% of this level for the rest of the season, I'll be thrilled with JC this year.

All he has to do is keep playing well. I have been saying for a while that the Redkins dont need new recievers they need there Quarterback to play well. Just keep doing the same same thing for the rest of the year. |

We definitely need Thomas and Kelly to step up later in the year. They are big physical targets, key to putting up TDs rather than FGs in the Red Zone. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
comparing campbell to guys like orton (who's playing now) makes me happy we've got a real QB. imagine when we can go 4 deep at WR and 2 deep at TE... cheers.

Campbell was in the middle of the pack last season, and has shown flashes of brilliance, several times in the last three seasons. Like Paintrain said, the problem is this fanbase seems to think that if a quarterback doesn't look like Peyton Manning right out of the gate(or a corner doesn't look like Champ, or a tailback doesn't look like LT, etc.), they never will be any good. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
I don't know how Campbell turned things around from Week 1 to now but all I can say is my hats off to the organization and Campbell himself.
I doubted him extreme, but he shoved it in my face and made me look like a buffoon's ass. Great job Jason Campbell you've come a long way and headed a huge win in Dallas. My hats is off and my pants down. GREAT GAME CAMPBELL...HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
Hay no shit guys. JC top 5 quarterback in the NFL today!! Let this be a lesson dont be so quick to judge.
|
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
you got a good idea immediately (i'm talking years ago) when you saw what he could do and what needed work... things you can't really work on, like poise or pocket presence, he had (And a wicked longball with touch! things ramsey never showed). his decisions and ball handling weren't good, but those things are fixable (and, well, wow... he learns quick).
i mean, this guy came to redskins park the WEEKEND he was drafted to start learning the playbook immediately (even though he wasn't allowed to practice with the team). he's made the extra effort to throw to our WRs outside of practice every year. it's kinda the same way i thought of zorn... the first impression for both was someone that'd be able to make it work, and there have been mistakes, but nothing to cause any real doubt (unless 1 game is enough to send you into reactionary ranting, but that's not me). i am surprised at how fast they've both improved though. from ugly preseason losses (after such a good start) to such solid play in just 1 real game... |

Re: JC is not what I thought part two
You have to be smart to learn as many offenses as he has, but I never expected him to look this good this quick. That's what's mindblowin. Awesome job by him AND Zorn.

JC and Zorn get mad props/credit, finally it appears we have an offense that compliments our defense.

You said it perfectly. You know who (by fanbase definition) didn't look like an NFL QB 20 starts into his career? Drew Brees. Yes, the same one who is leading the NFL in every passing category. Some fans either don't believe in or don't know how to measure progress. |
Re: JC is not what I thought part two
Wait a second, I thought this thread got locked? What happened? I coulda sworn I saw SS lock it...

Re: JC is not what I thought part two
Greatness in the making. Jason is the Zen f*cking master of cool.
