Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Another big game on the road, against a divisional foe. This would really be a huge win to get a win in philly on the road and keep the streak alive.
We would then come home for a few what should be lesser opponents. I look for this to be a great game, we have to match up well against there strong defense and keep JC clean and open some running lanes. I do not think the eagles will be as effective on offense due to key injuries. We will keep it fairly close OR possibly even walk away with this one. I look for another upset in philly. Skins win their fourth game in a row! Thoughts. |

EAGLES EXPECT TO HAVE WESTBROOK, NOT ANDREWS OR CURTIS Posted by Michael David Smith on October 5, 2008, 9:03 a.m. The Philadelphia Eagles expect to have running back Brian Westbrook on the field today against the Redskins. Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Eagles think Westbrook will be OK to play a week after sitting out the team’s loss to the Bears with an ankle injury. However, it’s not all good news on the injury front for the Eagles. Schefter reports that guard Shawn Andrews is out with a back injury and wide receiver Kevin Curtis is out with a hernia. Both had been listed as doubtful on the injury report. Andrews’ back is getting better, and he’s expected to return next week at San Francisco. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Huge game after today whole division has to come to fed ex.Need to stop westbrook and the eagles will fall.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Regardless of the fact westbrook will play and that this game is already being considered a "must win" for the eagles, I expect us to come out swingin'. But in the same breath, win or lose, after today we will have played all of our divisional road games, offenses whose ranks are 2-6, and we will still be above .500%. As long as we don't fall flat on our face today and start some sort of crazy meltdown (like I'm sure a ton of people are just waiting for it to happen b/c well, it's the redskins), win or lose, keep it a close battle and I'll be somewhat satisfied. HAIL

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Winning this game would mean alot. We can make a statement today. I look for the Skins to keep moving forward and show that we are one of the top teams in the league. Protect Jason and pave the way for Portis to run the ball and we get a W. Lets Go Skins. LETS ROCK AND ROLL!!!

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
This would be a huge, huge win for us. But even if we don't win we still leave a brutal first few weeks of the schedule at 3-2 with a key win against a division foe, two key wins against conference opponents, and all our division road games done. That's not bad.
I'm expecting a big game out of Andre Carter today. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Springs and Washington are out. Brian Westbrook will go... thanks for getting our hopes up, Byron.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Just heard Springs, Washington, and Heyer inactive. Westbrook is playing.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
no shawn springs....thats big.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
With Springs out, I'm wondering if we will see a lot of 'Cobra" packages today. The challenge just got a little tougher. If we win today, you've got to wonder, just how good are we? I would be VERY impressed.

I mean this is a huge HUGE game...but if we dont win, in the grand scheme of things...I dont think there is a single Redskins fan that would not have taken a 3-2 record coming out of the first 5 games. Anything can happen on any given Sunday, but I like our match-ups the next three weeks alot, as well. We could be off to a very good start.. (or not, you never know, but I'm feeling very good about this team). |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
they need this win a lot more than we do... just saying we'll probably be 6-2 or 7-1 at the halfway mark. not that i wouldn't be pissed if we lost, but losing would be a lot worse for philly.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Redskins piece on ESPN's Sunday Countdown right now

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
I apologize for going off the beaten path but I was wondering has Al Davis picked anyone to fill in as head coach? or is he going to do it?LOL. or are they going with out this week? LOL. again sorry. just wondering. I havn't heard anything about it like we did with St. Louis.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Anyone watching this stupid debate on ESPN?
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Yeah. The Redskins were LAST in the espn poll of who would win the nfc east. Morons.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
I posted this in another thread...but my tolerance for Springs is pretty low right now. I wouldn't mind dumping him after this season. He's "injured" an awful lot
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Never mind about the Raiders. sorry. They have an open date which means another week for Al to try and talk the "Crimson Chin", or Fassel to help him out. LOL.

Well it wasn't ESPN that decided the poll, it was fans like you and me. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Springs is great when healthy but your right he is having an injury every yr. Although he was tested last week with T.O. what 1/3 of the game.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Nice piece on FOX now about Zorn.....41% approval rating in DC thats pretty good.
|

I know. Mostly dallas fans I guess because they were no.1. Hence, morons. |

41 or 91? 41 is pretty low for 3-1 and a win in dallas... |

Interesting, Zorn using a little psychology on the rookie? Get him motivated for the game by activating him at the last minute. |

It would be nice to know where the poll was. I'm betting more like 90%. Or did they just pull a number out of their arse? |

When healthy hes by far the best corner we have (as shown again last week against BO). And this certainly isn't breaking news that SS has had problems staying healthy for the last several years. He isn't getting any younger as the rest of the team, it will be interesting to see how his season plays out. Hopefully he can get healthy and stay healthy! His future after this season anyones guess. |

I don't know....but that came right out of Zorns mouth. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
12 minutes..........tick-tock, tick-tock
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
I wonder what will be the biggest motivating force? The Eagles' sense of a must-win or Washington's sense of being a huge underdog.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
i don't say much during the game, but i hate bradshaw and jerry's bitch jimmy a lot more.
what a bunch of jerkoffs. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Yea, westbrook is playing he is not 100% and will not be nearly as effective as he would like to be, if he makes it through the game.
Sorry SGG, he will NOT have a 100 yard rushing day. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread
Lets kick it off!
GO SKINS!!! |

It's good they don't have great recievers Los should be able to contain jackson by himself and use landry to kinda spy mcnabb and westbrook. Someone called Springs mr. glass like in unbreakable and he even kinda looks like him, He's a great player but jesus the pussy is always hurt, We really need him. Go Skins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
