Additional Message Board
 

I wanted to see if I could make a message board, since I'm studying PHP. I'd like as many of you to sign up as possible. It's still getting all the bugs worked out, but I have 5 mods and 3 admins working on it, so it should be completely operational by Monday. Come sign up, look around... post new threads..etc...

You have to change the font from black to white. I have to highlight the whole page (ctrl-A) to read anything.

Good luck with it. Just not sure that advertising it here will fly. ;)

Yeah, just give it a few more minutes, i have to finish the layout.... my bandwidth is exceeded, so check back tomorrow, I'll be buying more space.

My first piece of advice, if you are serious about building a long running forum, don't cheap out on the server. Go big and grow into it. I know you're just getting started, just some advice for the future.

Thanks... I really did just learn PHP, but I've been a graphic designer for 10 years. I plan on getting skinsfans.net tonight, so then I'll have nearly unlimited bandwidth. Thanks for the advise.

I've been a graphic designer myself for a number of years and you're going to want to work on the color selection. Just like they mentioned above, it's really hard on the eyes. It's about content first, then you'll want to worry about making it look nice.

First impression: the black font on the red background is too hard to see. Either lighten up the background or go with a white font. I would suggest going with a lighter background with a black font. It's always the easiest to read that way.

I'm a professional graphic design and user experience specialist and, no offense, but your design makes me want to cry while simultaneously gouging out my eyes with a rusty icepick.

phpbb is pretty limited that way. I highly suggest checking out vbulletin.

Colors are much better than what I saw this AM. I wouldn't make the links change color so drastically...keep the base the same, but go lighter to darker. The Red to White is quite distracting.

I'll give you the same power as everyone else thats a super moderator. I can't give you FULL admin powers, but I can give you close to it. The PHP won't allow more than one full on admin.

I'd make a horrible mod anyway... I would abuse my power and leverage my authority in order to sleep with women way out of my league...

Second thought was exactly what someone else said ....are you allowed to come on here and advertize your massage board? and lastly I thought "TheWarpath.net" had to change their name due to copy write infringments with the Skins or NFL. How can you use the name you used with out getting hammered by the NFL?

This is a family site, we don't allow people to advertise their "massage boards" on here ;)

We had to drop Redskinswarpath.com, which is kind of ridiculous because there are other message boards that use the word Redskins. But "skins" should be fine.
