Wow, Tampa Bay is up 14-0 against Carolina in the 1st qtr. I hope they fare better than the Iggles.

Arizona scored 6 on the opening kick off

Some amazing finishes in the 1 o'clock games. Atlanta, St. Louis, Houston, and Minnesota all won on the last play of the game. That's gotta be some sort of record. How about those 4-2 Falcons?? Good for them.

The Cowboys have been very very lucky in this game.

And they still lost. Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Nice work Arizona!! Dallas has lost 2 outta 3 now, and more importantly we stay in 2nd place in the division. A win by Dallas there would have pushed us down to 3rd.

"it takes alot of practice to get lucky" patrick roy

MAN thhat end to the boys game was sweeetttt! what the hell was pacman doing out at the coin toss though? really?

i like the fact that jones seemed pumped after they won the toss trying to pep TO up, the more times the boys look themselves in the mirror and say its gut check time but fail is awesome and sooooo debilitating.

go skins!!

That entire series of events and the end of the game was bizarre. At the end of the 4th qtr Arizona has an injured player who can't get off the field, but rather than stopping the game, they flag him for being offsides. So that makes it a 52 yard FG instead of a 57 yarder, and Folk BARELY hits it. Wow.

And I've never seen a blocked punt TD to end a game in OT either. Crazy game, great result.

Wade was bouncing around like a 6 year old girl with a new puppy after that field goal. :laughing2

not that i can recall, but i do remember this one game at the end of reg where 1 team was about to kick a short field goal as time expired to ice the game only to have it blocked and returned to near mid-field with a face mask tacked on to allow 1 more play and the game winning field goal by the other team. that was pretty sweet.

go skins!!

i kinda remember that.but what i remember more is the guy that returned the block and how he will be an inspiration to the redskins faithful forever.-THANKS SEAN!!!!

That Dallas game was priceless! I still can't believe they flagged an injured player... Oh well, at least they lost! Definitely takes the sting off of today's loss.

According to nfl.com it is the first time in NFL history when a blocked punt TD wins a game.

Which begs the question, who will implode first: T.O. or Randy Moss?

Good question. I forgot about Moss. Kinda like this forgettable season they're having.

Indeed.

It wasn't a crazy Sunday on Landover...it was freakish everywhere this week.

SO many last second wins and upsets.

Re: Around the NFL week 6

Yeah, just a twilight zone Week 6. 49ers had plenty of opportunities to beat the eagles up until the last few minutes when they threw an ugly pick 6.

Re: Around the NFL week 6
Good question. I forgot about Moss. Kinda like this forgettable season they're having.
Given that their average margin of defeat is about 24 points, I think it's safe to say that the Pats would be 3 and 2 right now with or without Tom Brady.

It's just would be a bigger collapse story if they had him.

Thing is, they'll likely have a rebound of sorts on defense next year that will coincide with Brady's return, so his god-like status among mediots should remain safe.

GTripp0012 10-13-2008 10:13 AM

Re: Around the NFL week 6
Seeing Dallas and New England both go down made my Sunday a little more bearable.
I don't want to rain on your parade, but the teams that beat them are arguably (and in SD's case, clearly) better than Dallas and NE. The Rams game is a game we should win 95% of the time or more.

It's impossible to go through a season and not get upset, so I'm ok with this defeat given the circumstances, however it now becomes critical that we put away Cleveland and Detroit and get to 6-2 and a stranglehold on second place.

They're throwing all kinds defensive looks/blitzes at Eli and it's working well. Not to mention Anderson slicing up their secondary. I imagine Springs will have his hands full with Braylon, but he can handle it. I hope his calf will be 100% though. He's gonna need it.

I don't know if I should be happy that they're beating the Giants or worried because we play them next week..
