LOL...the third person interviewed (guy holding the kid) looks and talks like the Pastor from "There Will Be Blood." I would have said to them "The Blacks" are taking over, sooner you come to terms with it the better and then introduce to them the Five Stages of Grief so they can better deal with the prospect of the reign of "The Black Man":

In terms of polarization, as the interview mentioned, it is very imminent in VA.

Driving down to Charlottesville today, from Chantilly, almost all the houses roadside Route 29 have huge McCain banners, I did not see one Obama supporter, and I sure the few that are there are too scared to show their view.

Even in "liberal" N.Va., my neighborhood has tons of McCain signs and few Obama signs. It's just weird, the race is portrayed as close, but on a local level it really isn't.

No surprise @ the bigotry and racism that still pervades the country - what I find unbelievable is how the mainstream media has basically condoned this shit IMO by not reporting on the filth we can view on YouTube and elsewhere. It's sort of like CNN, NBC, FOX and the rest are afraid to show how deeply ignorant and backward so many people are (maybe fear of losing viewers, I'm not sure).

One thing I know, if Obama actually wins he'll need more secret service/security precautions than any leader in history (at least while he's in his own country).

Lots of sad and pathetic people out there.

Let me ask this though, and this isn't to imply any of them are ignorant, but is it too far a stretch to say that while a lot of White people won't vote for Obama because he's Black, there are Blacks who will vote for him primarily because he's Black? I mean not that they are looking only at that, or that what they don't like about McCain is that he's White, but that the color of Obama's skin swings their votes in his favor.

Yes its def. ignorance at its best but who else would these people vote for? Reason I ask that is people are spinning this like McCain/Palin are attracting these people but if your a raciest who else would you be supporting. Its just a sad fact that because of Obama's skin color these nuts will support McCain just for that fact. I'm sure their are plenty of people who are voting for Obama because of his skin color alone as Smoot pointed out.

However, let's not paint all McCain supporters as being as ignorant as these folks. I know that wasn't the intent. There are going to be ignorant people no matter what party there involved with.

So true redsk1. I think we can also say there are going to be ignorant people no matter what country there involved with. Living in southern Germany I was a little surprised how much the Turkish immigrants were reviled. Crime: everybody blamed the Turks. Weak economy: the Turks were driving down wages/incomes. Your wife cheating: she's f*ck!ng a Turk. (Ok the last one I didn't really hear from any Germans)

Seriously, bigotry and racism is a terrible but common piece of human nature. Really big when special people can help bridge the gap i.e. Ghandi and MLK Jr. Maybe Obama could be another but it's hard to say.

Discrimination is wrong no matter what the circumstance but the black population out there is something like 2% or 3%... Affirmative Action really isn't gonna float too well there..

In the article it was mentioning how some people were complaining about not getting hired because they are black. I was referring to that. But I get what you're saying. :)

I think the overall message is her cabinet lacks diversity, she wouldn't attend or send someone to Juneteenth celebration, and they couldn't partake in all the oil pipeline dealings. Are these legitimate issues? At ~4% of the population perhaps not but I wouldn't expect the black vote in Alaska if I were a Republican.

Having grown up in the inner city, I'll tell you, many people there don't care enough about politics to even warrant an interview. And can you blame them?

Granted, not caring is a type of ignorance in itself, but being terribly misinformed is far more dangerous than not giving a damn in the first place.
