Redskins Lions Tickets

I'm looking on Ebay and talking to people around my campus, and I'm figuring out that I could probably land a pair of Redskins Lions tickets for under $25. I wasn't seriously considering going to this game before, because travel and parking costs I figured would be sky high.

However, with the price of gas way down, I could probably find a way to go with one of by college buddies to the Lions-Skins game for under $100 dollars. Is anyone else going? Would this be worth it?

I've yet to see a Redskins game live before, and now three days before the game, this is the first time I'm considering going.

Yes. If the $100 is pretty dispendable for you then it is worth it. Everyone's value of $100 is relative. Unless it breaks you man I'd jump on it.

I'm not going to the game (I think username GusFrerotte is a Detroit resident, he may be going) since I'm in DC, but to see the Skins play for a total of $100 (gas, food, ticket, parking) is a friggin steal compared to FedEx Field. As knowledgable as you are about the Redskins, I think a chance to see us play live for the first time when we're looking good at 5-2 is a golden opportunity.

Re: Redskins Lions Tickets

I would have already jumped on them. Im looking for skins tix for the steelers game and there through the roof. Ppl who buy tix just to make a profit make me sick, leave the tickets for the fans if your not going to go. I sat in Section 141 last week and paid $141 per ticket, now the same tickets are $531 a piece(face value of $99). So to end my rant, yes you should jump on them. Theres nothing like going to a skins game live.

Re: Redskins Lions Tickets

Obviously $100 for me is more valuable than to someone who has a salary, but I would still say it's pretty dispensable, as a one time thing.

I'm looking into my options as we speak. I still think I can pull the whole thing off for under $100

Call the ticket office, an email was sent recently stating that 'due to visiting team returns tickets are still available'. I'd try there at least you'd be getting them for cost. Im also going to guess that they are trying to sell the loge seats. good luck.

its only home games. and i would do it, if you can pull it off. friends of mine where at Fords field a couple of years ago for the super bowl, and said it was awesome. but beware of Detroit, the one time murder capital of the United States

Yes its only for home games. The poster was asking about the MNF Steelers tix.

Yes but if you click on the link for that email, you'll see even Danny Boy jacked up prices for Monday night. The cheapest tickets on there were over 200/ticket.

The only thing available is loge, dream, and club level.

Re: Redskins Lions Tickets

Shortly after moving to NC I bought tickets for the Panthers vs Falcons. It was an NFL game and it cost me under $100 (2 tix, parking and refreshments during the game). Since then I go to every home game the Skins are playing at a different time.
My advice is go this week, and any other week you can afford. Root for the Packers, Bears or whoever else is coming to town. If the tix prices are down take advantage. If the Panthers make the playoffs it is harder for me to get tickets (not Redskin or Packer prices but not AFL prices either) and who knows maybe Detroit will field a team again and prices will go up. Until then, go and have fun.

I live in michigan and cant go due to scheduling issues and cash shortages but on the detroit craigslist, there are upper deck tix for 20 each and section 139 row nine for 50 each

Re: Redskins Lions Tickets

Shoot dude they still have over 5,000 left!!!!!! Get on Ebay or Amazon maybe. Or just go through NFL.com and hit the Lions homepage and get some via ticketmaster. I got the cheap ticks for the upper level at only $55, but I am sure you can get them cheaper now on Ebay, etc. It looks like the game is going to be blacked out in Detroit, so unless you are in the DC area you might not be able to see it. It would be worth it even if you get the tickets I got. Only word of advice is to eat before or after the game. Ford Field Concessions are a total gouging experience. Avoid parking at the parking structure across from the stadium. It is like $30-$40 to park there. If your bud is from the area, he might be able to find a free parking spot within easy walking distance. Try to avoid parking downtown if you can so you have an easy time of going home.

Suppy versus demand, it's simple. You got a prob, get on the waiting list and buy your own every year. It's extemely hard to make money on season tickets. You pay full price for preseason games and might not sell them at all. So you eat that. My wife and I have season tickets (8) I've just sold 4 for the Steelers game. Finally made a profit on some tickets. The previous home games have all been losers financially. I made money the first year we had the tickets (2001) I think. Lost money every year since. Try to go to the Giants game each year, won't be able to do it now, can't get off of work. I won't give up the tickets yet as my plan is to use them more when I retire. The wife and I were on the waiting list 13 years. Not giving them up unless I really have to. So if it makes you sick that people are making money on their tickets, don't buy them, simple as that. The Skins have not really been doing well so people haven't had a desire to go to the games, now they are playing better, getting some wins and now people want tickets. Supply and demand, simple.

What are you talking about?? The redskins have one of the longest sellout streaks in the league. Good or Bad there are fans overpaying to see the team. I've been on the wait list now for five years. I bet you are one of the "loyal" redskin fans who sell their tickets to cowboys and eagles fans.

Well, I live in Upstate NY now dude. Kinda hard to get to the game. You've been on the list 5 years? My wife and I were on it 13 years, quit your crying. We both have 4 tickets. Most of the time my tickets go Skins fans. You exaggerate when you say people way overpay for tickets. The only real demand this year is the Steelers, Cowgirls, Eagles and then the Giants. Haven't broken even on any of the tickets until the Steelers. Enjoy the wait, it'll be worth it when it's your turn.
