It's gonna be a great game, too bad i cant be there. For the last 2 years, I have been driving to philly to DC for skins games, but just couldn't afford yet another season of season tickets. GO SKINS!!!

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
What time does the game start? 8 or 8:30? I'm trying to be home by 8:30 so I don't miss too much..

That sums up my day so far. I can't sit still, and I can't focus. I haven't been this nervous before a game in a long time (this may be the 3rd or 4th time I've said that this season :)). Election Eve, live from the Nation's Capital, a massive game, tons of injuries, a psyched up home crowd, two viscious defenses, the possibilty of a 7-2 record heading into the bye... HO-LEE-SHIT. It's a monster game. I just stood up at my desk. Again. I could probably put my head through a wall right now and not feel it. This a golden opportunity to show the country what we're made of on what's bound to be a hugely watched MNF game. |

8:30 Is the scheduled start for the broadcast. But kickoff usually is 8:35ish. |

After that last national fiasco in NYC we need to show the nation what we can do. One thing to be happy about... the scouts at ESPN have our special teams ahead of Pitt's. I am finally not super worried that we will screw this one up by botching a punt coverage. |

Funny because back in August if someone would have said the Skins would be 6-3 at the bye, I think all of us would have gladly taken that. A loss isn't the end of the world, the stretch after the bye with the division games is far more critical. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I know that Pittsburg is a good team, and they are 5-2, but who has looked at their record in depth?

Only one team with a winning record (The Ravens). 2 losses against the NFC East. Is there anyone who thinks that maybe their impressive record could be the result of a relatively easy schedule? |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
This is a huge game.
This is the type of game that will put players in the probowl. If rogers wants to go to Hawaii, He is going to have to catch atleast one ball today. The same goes for Landry, If he can outplay Palomalu, he might be able to make it to hawaii too! If he plays... If we win this game, He go into the second half trying to overtake the giants as division leaders. If we lose this game, we try to hold onto the wild card spot with the Beagles and Cowbitches breathing down our necks. We need to win this game!!! |

But when you sit at 6-2 and realize you can reverse this seasonal 3rd quarter trend... you really hope for that 7th before you get the week off. |

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
This is a big game and don't hate at me for saying this but, i think we dont have all that much to lose, but we have a lot to gain. If we lose we have 12 days to fix it while if we win we are 7-2 with 7 left to play. I'm not going to be in a panic if we are 6-3.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
This is a day (and possibly tomorrow) when myself and my employer would be better served if I had taken the day off..........

Nothing's more manly than a man with enough adrenaline to smash his head through hard objects. Oh baby, oh baby. :woot: Gotta love what the Skins do to guys. :D |

I was debating on which day to take off- today or tomorrow. I chose tomorrow. I can sleep in, considering it's a given I'll be up until around 1am tonight, plus I can follow the election returns all day. And of course I plan on having more than one scotch tonight... |

How are we supposed to get any work done with a sight as beautiful as that on our minds?? |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I keep looking in, as if the game was going to start sooner. The game can't get here fast enough. I want a good solid game from our team, but am very nervous about all the injuries. I just want the Skins to win. 7-2 would be awesome! Sitting here at work is driving me insane

But with our injury report looking how it is I think it evens the odds out. All we gotta do is continually put Roethlisberger (w/ cheese) on his ass. Keep doing it till Big Ben quits ticking. Oh yea, CP popping off would help too. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Devin Thomas, This is your coming out party!

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I hope CP pops off another huge game. I got him and Cooley in fantasy against Suisham tonight, I am down 26 points, so 2 TDs by CP and one by Cooley would be great and of course 100 yards each. I can not wait. I am going to a pub with my Uncle (Huge Steelers fan), I will be sporting my Campbell Jersey.
Hail to the Redskins!!! Lets kick some butt tonight, 7-2 would be so sweet. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
The Steelers website is temporarily unavailable; Sure hope their team follows suit
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
a game on antional tv like tonight's is would be a great coming out as contenders game by the skins.they could really put a statement on their season by beating the the steelers tonight.if portis, campbell, and moss have good games, the skins will be set.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread

Why could'nt Daylight Saving Time have stuck around a little longer? Then we'd have 1 less hour to wait. DAMN YOU DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME, DAMN YOU TO HELL!
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Wow. Even on the ESPN virtual field, Casey Rabach screws up his pass protection assignment. Thats...unbelievably realistic.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
As a defensive guy, I'm excied for this game. Scud, I already put my head thru two drywalls today, and I'm looking for one more.
And to think, a bunch of men running around in tights gets my adrenaline pumping. Who knew? |

I feel you, but I have it pretty good today. My boss is a HUGE Skin fan also, and we are going over to the USO to watch the game on the USO's Theater screen. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I honestly don't expect the Redskins to have a lot of trouble in this one.
I think the score will be close, but I expect the Redskins to control the TOP and not turn the ball over. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Steelers fan and Iron City beer. They both suck.
