F...Glitter on Hallmark Cards

Who's boneheaded idea was to sprinkle glitter all over Hallmark cards? What the F?!

Am I the only one annoyed by having this damn glitter all over my hand when I'm trying to write on one of these cards,

I'm like a freakin' 80's Valley Girl straight out of a John Hughes movie trying to write some thank you cards here.

You see my tag for this thread? I use e-cards plenty but I sometimes the personal touch of a hand-written card is called for

I usually stick to the $0.99 cards for that simple reason...no glitter.

I save the personal touches for the bedroom.

My family has all but done away with giving cards as they get read and either thrown in the trash or stuck in some box. They also run from 3 to 5 $ so we are also saving money as well as trees.

Re: F...Glitter on Hallmark Cards

The worst is being a single guy trying to pick out a wedding card for a buddy. I just need somewhere to put the check or bed bath and beyond gift card, I don't need to pimp out all the virtues of love and marriage.
And then, since I obviously wait until the car ride to the wedding to actually write the damn thing, I usually get glitter all over my suit if I was in too much of a hurry to notice that I accidentally grabbed one with that devil's dust.

Stupid happy people.

Come on SS, you just don't want the woman to know that you've been at the strip club. Glitter on cards... good one. ;)

Well so lets make this your first leason on prepping the girl for marriage. No excuse is needed and just tell her straight up where you have been and if she has a problem with it, you tell her "there will be no problems with it". This is set in stone prior to marriage and so it will never be an issue. The key things to remember is alway tell the truth, do not do this too often (don't wear out the privilage), and always let her know she is your #1 girl.

No, I'm dead serious about this damn glitter on Hallmark cards...but yes I'm totally joking about the strip club incident. I had my weekend of drunken debauchery last month for my bachelor party. When I returned, I was apologetic to my fiancee for being an inebriated mess. To which she said "If you came back any less than this, I would have thought you were a boring little wuss" God bless her.

Or she feels better about her bachelorette party. ;)

Re: F...Glitter on Hallmark Cards

Probably a mixture of both...

Drunken debauchery during bachelor parties is fine, as long the panties of your favorite stripper weren't found on your head when you got home.

Story time:

2 years ago my wife and I were moving the day before valentines day into a rental in Martinsburg WV. Her sister, brother, and sisters girl friend came to help us unpack. They all decided they would hit the strip club. I chaperoned against my will ;). They paid my way in and bought me drinks so I would protect the gals in case anything happened. Great times were had by all.

The next day my wife (who was 7 months preg. and didn't go with us) picked up the glittery sweater I wore the night before and a thong fell out of it. Turns out it was her sisters, but no one knows how it got there. I really didn't do anything wrong but it still bugs the wife.
