Randy Moss
Apparently the Cowboys said they'd take him in the draft, and obviously they didn't. Ever since then he's had it out for them. Thank GOD the 'boys didn't take Moss!
|
haha, who did they take that year?
Everyone skipped Moss, and messed up. Terry Fair was the pick for Moss...lol |

kinda a crapy draft. A couple great players but plenty fell off the planet. Fair was a bad pick but the Titans arent complaining with Dyson
|
Weak draft?
Peyton Manning, Charles Woodson, Grant Winstrom, Kyle Turley, Fred Taylor, Keith Brooking, Takeo Spikes, Kevin Dyson, Randy Moss. Not bad if you ask me. |

you must be thinking of Mason, not Dyson |
yeah dysons career has been derailed by injuries
|
Dyson was cut by the Chargers of all teams, that shows how far he's fallen.
Real quick, off the top of your head try to name the starting WR's for the Chargers. I couldn't do it without looking. |
um Reche Caldwell? Is that right?
Dyson will forever be immortalized though thanks to the Music City Miracle and the image of him lunging for that final yard trying to get the game tying TD in the Super Bowl |
lol,yea who is starting at receiver for the chargers.
Is Turley retiring? |
GO VIKINGS in weeks 1 & 2!! :food-smil
|
was that the year we gave cinci our 1st rounder for wilkinson? if so what a freakin waste when we could have had Randy Moss, Donovan Darius, RW McQuarters, Patrick Surtain, Flozell Adams, or Samari Rolle among others. of course that was also the year we wasted our 2nd round pick on talented but injury prone Stephen Alexander.
|
on offense, #1, 9, and 21 are well known (well, 9 is fred taylor, not as big as manning or moss, but still)... it lets you see how the draft can be a crapshot, either due to players not adjusting, or because their new team's systems suck...
|
alexander is with the bears or lions now right? i think he looked alright in preseason when i watched him....
|
Alexander is with the Lions now
|
I can tell you the chargers recievers off the top of my head.
1.LaDainian Tomlison 2.LaDainian Tomlison 3.LaDainian Tomlison |
you forgot some:
4.LaDainian Tomlison 5.LaDainian Tomlison 6.LaDainian Tomlison |
he wasnt a waste, he did make a pro bowl and was about to become an elite TE
|
Moss is a freak. The guy is probably the most athletically gifted receiver in the league. All of Rice's records will fall, even if jerry is still trying to play when moss retires. Moss can do things that aren't just taught, but it's just natural to him. Probably one of the top 5, maybe top 3, receivers when he is done.
|
sometimes moss has dogged it a bit in the past (when he knew he wasn't getting the ball), but he's definately the best WR right now, holt is good too, but its a different league.
|
I dont know if anyone will ever break rices records, but that doesnt mean hes better than Moss. The thing with a lot of records is that they are marathons. How do you judge who is better, someone who had a better first ten years, who someone who played an extra ten years and got more stats.
|
you can average out their best years and just compare those... not quite the same as taking in the context of the people they played against, the talent in their team's system etc... but it also really depends on what you're comparing...
|
i still think marvin harrison has got to be up there, he just catches so many passes
|
he wasnt a waste, he did make a pro bowl and was about to become an elite TE
I don't know what I was watching then cuz while he showed some promise he never looked to me like he would be anything close to an elite TE. he and betts r a lot alike so far in that they both have/had quite a bit of talent but yet injuries just seemed to keep piling up for them and prevented them from being on the field. |

Yeah, case in point, would you rather have Emmitt Smith or Walter Payton? The former cowgirl now has more yards but he couldn't hold Sweetness' jock. |

Spoken like a true Redskin fan... |
Sweetness couldn't hold Barry Sander's jock either. Barry would have 2x Sweetness's yards if they played for the same amount of time.
