Just go to the game and have a good time and root your team on. Jeez.

Easy to say. But it's a five hours drive each way, and I have to have someone watch my three kids for the weekend. Setting up the outing takes work, and I just started feeling like it might not be worth the effort. That being said, thanks for your opinion. I appreciate your insight. |

Wow, I don't know if I am that upset. Originally it was a 1pm game, but with it being a 4pm start now, its harder to justify. |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
You wouldn't get a penny for 50 yard line tickets at this point...

I am starting to get that feeling. |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
The Redskins don't really deserve to have anyone go watch their games at this point. The sad part is I don't think most of them even really care how much of a disgrace they are.
Oh, Eagles fans will buy your tickets, that's for sure. |

I respect your position, but what if the tables were turned? What if the B & G were surging right now w/ an away game at Philly, you'd want to be able to buy tickets. Some Philly fans are in that boat. Anyway, we can't hate on the Iggles for turning their season around. They'll show up to play next week and that's more than can be said for the Skins. |

I'm pretty sure you could count on that. |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
I've actually gone to a Redkins/Eagles game at the Vet. I've had popcorn and beer thrown all over me. As obnoxious as Eagles fans are, there is some respect if you come to play...
|
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
no better than face value but most likely it will be like selling preseason tickets. if you aren't ready to take a complete loss just go to the game.
|
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
Philly fans are probably your best shot to get face value. There will be a lot of green jerseys next week if Philly is still alive for the playoffs.

You are gonna get hammered for telling a redskins fan to sell their tickets to an eagles fan. |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
I'm just gonna go. The more I think about it, I think I was just upset about the game. The experience is fun, my wife is excited about going (she doesn't like watching the games on TV, but she enjoys going to them), and who knows, we could win.

Thats the attitude to have. I wish we would win just to quiet some of the chicken littles around here. |

I agree, but I think we're in the majority. I cant see Portis playing a whole lot longer at this pace. The guy is falling apart, but luckily for us he can play hurt. How much longer is the question. |

They are section 220, row 1, and I have two of them. I also have a parking pass (orange I think) and tailgate club passes.
No offense but this is nonsense...I will be there on Sunday and I have a long drive also. nice to hear that. im alil worried about the skins faithful leaving us under-manned next week but it is against the eagles. maybe now we will play with a lil bit of reckless abandon like we did after week 1. i just hope we play with some intensity cuz it will suck going to the game and watchin the skins put up another egg. ps - if i had to drive 5 plus hours one way i probaly wouldnt go, you my friend are a super fan for doing so, danny doesnt deserve your sense of loyalty. just know years from now when we go to the SB you will feel more joy then the others who choose not to be there during the tough times. times like these make the good times taste that much sweeter. plus when we beat the eagles we get to watch first hand all teh iggles fans crying over their lost season like we are doing here now. |

Well it better be skin fans that are not jumping ship in other threads. I'd sell them to anyone who would buy them at this point. |

Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
if you want to sell them for cheap just because you cant go i would love to see a game i live 5 hours away as well but never could afford to go even if were out of the playoffs it would be fun go skins

Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
I'm driving up to S.F to see the Redskins which is about an 8hr drive for me. I was really hoping we could win the last 3 games and make a run at the playoff's but now I know that S.F will be the last game of the year. :(
I'm still excited about the road trip though and the game. I have 1st row tickets next to the Redskins bench so maybe I can get an autograph or 2. Either way I would never pass up a chance to go to a Redskins game. Everybody wants’ to go to the games when the team is wining. It's the true fans the care about there teams even when they suck. Glad to see you’re going to go Skinsfanatic. Just think of it as a nice trip with the wife and going to the game is just a really cool bonus. Like you said ya never know the Skins might actually win.:httr: |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
I think the 'Skins won some very exciting games this year (NO, Arizona, the Eagles twice, and the Cowboys in Texas). And I agree with the comment about Portis...remember, we traded Champ Bailey and a No. 2 draft choice for a guy with an ego so big that he put himself over the team. He had negative comments about the offiensive line, then put Jim Zorn on the hotseat just because he wasn't in the game against the Ravens. Now all I hear on the radio sports talk shows is "Will Zorn be here next year or will he be fired?" I say get rid of Portis. Sorry for bringing this up on this tread, but I'm really bothered by this.

Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
Portis isn't going anywhere with his cap #.
|
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
Went to the game and I would've hated myself forever if I hadn't. It was a great time and that ending was spectacular.

Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
Portis = overrated and over the hill

I'm convinced you're Jim Zorn or a very close relative of his. |
I'm convinced you're Jim Zorn or a very close relative to him.
Nope, but I wish I had his flat top. Portis is a warrior, just doesn't have the talent everyone thinks he has (at least in my eyes) Riggo said the same thing last night. |
Re: Thinking about getting rid of my tickets for the Eagles Game
Portis = overrated and over the hill
1400 yards without the support of a consistent passing game, PLUS the injuries (Grade 2 MCL Sprain), and you say he's over the hill??? I'll take my chances with that production from a RB any day. If Zorn's WCO passing game becomes a factor next year, I would look for Portis to get 1,700+ yards. The man didn't gain an easy yard this entire season.

He put up good numbers while battling injuries all year... I give him credit for that. But he leaves a lot of yards out there because he lacks explosiveness and speed....just my opinion. |

I think you have explosiveness mixed up with speed. He has explosiveness but lackes speed when he does get out in the open. If he did not have explosiveness he would not have 1400 yards this year. |
